Gooten does not require a paid membership subscription. Instead, you add a payment method to your merchant account, and Gooten charges you for products and shipping as orders move to production. This guide explains how to add a Coinepay virtual card, check an order’s costs, and handle a payment problem.

How Gooten billing works

Your customer pays you through your connected store. Gooten does not collect that customer’s checkout payment; it charges your selected Gooten payment method for the product and shipping costs when the order moves to production. Keep the two transactions separate when you calculate your margin: the amount your customer pays is not necessarily the amount Gooten will charge your card.

Gooten documents cards and PayPal as payment options for order charges. It does not confirm acceptance of every virtual card. Adding a card is therefore a setup step, not a promise that a future order charge will be approved.

There is no Gooten membership price to pay. Gooten’s Very Important Merchant (VIM) statuses—Insider, Plus, Pro, and Elite—are based on annual spending, not subscriptions you purchase at checkout. Product and shipping costs depend on the item, variant, and delivery destination. After creating a Gooten account, use its Product Catalog to view or export the relevant prices before you publish a product. Gooten bills merchants in USD; check your actual order costs and any applicable card funding details before relying on a profit estimate.

What you need before adding a card

  • A Gooten merchant account: You will need access to its billing settings. To start selling, you will also need to connect a store and create or publish a product.
  • A Coinepay account and virtual card: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Your virtual card provides a card number, expiry date, and CVV in the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
  • Accurate billing information: Have your real name and billing address ready. Enter the details that apply to you and your card; do not substitute a different address to try to pass a payment check.
  • Funds for the order: Check the product and shipping total for your intended orders. Leave room for more than one order if your store may send several to production before you review the card balance.

If you are deciding whether to use the card for a particular business workflow, check the current information in the Coinepay dashboard or ask Coinepay support about your card before placing orders.

Step by step: set up Gooten billing

  1. Create your Gooten account. Follow Gooten’s sign-up instructions using your real account and business details. This creates the merchant account that Gooten will bill; it is not a paid membership purchase.
  2. Connect your store and prepare a product. Follow Gooten’s onboarding flow to connect the store where customers will buy your items. Create or publish a product, and check its variant and destination-specific costs in the Product Catalog. You can finish billing setup before accepting orders.
  3. Open billing settings. In your Gooten account, go to Settings → Billing. Gooten’s onboarding billing shortcut also leads to this area.
  4. Add the virtual card. Open your Coinepay app or dashboard and copy the card number, expiry date, and CVV into Gooten’s card fields. Enter your genuine billing address and review every field before saving. Keep card details in the payment form rather than sending them in a support message.
  5. Select the payment method. If your account has more than one method, check which one is marked as the primary payment method and select the card if you want Gooten order charges directed to it. Gooten also offers a PayPal connection that requires authorization; that is a separate option from adding your card.
  6. Check the first order. When a customer orders through your store, review the order and its Gooten product-plus-shipping cost. Watch its status as it approaches production and confirm that the intended payment method remains available. If Gooten reports a payment problem, address it promptly rather than assuming the order has entered production.

Gooten’s billing screens may change, but Settings → Billing is the documented place to add a card and billing address. An order charge is tied to the order moving to production, not to the moment you create your Gooten account or publish a product.

Troubleshooting a declined card or “Payment Issue” order

Gooten uses the order status “Payment Issue” when it cannot process payment. Its documented causes include a missing payment method, an incomplete billing address, or a declined payment. The status identifies a problem; it does not, by itself, tell you which check failed. Work through these possibilities before submitting another order:

  • Missing or unselected method: Return to Settings → Billing. Make sure the card was saved and check whether it is the primary payment method if you have multiple methods.
  • Insufficient available funds: Compare your available card funds with Gooten’s product and shipping costs for the order. Remember that other orders moving to production may also need funding. Check the Coinepay app or dashboard for the card’s current status and available funds.
  • Billing address mismatch: Check the name and address saved in Gooten’s billing settings for omissions or typing errors. Use your real billing details, and update incorrect information rather than entering an unrelated address.
  • 3-D Secure or another authentication check: If a verification request appears during card setup or payment, complete it through the legitimate flow presented. If no prompt arrives, it expires, or authentication fails, review any notice in your Coinepay app and contact Coinepay support for help interpreting the card-side result. Do not assume every Gooten charge will use the same verification flow.
  • Merchant or region checks: A card payment can be reviewed against a merchant’s payment or regional rules. Separately, Gooten restricts shipping to certain destinations and product availability varies by destination; its unsupported-shipping list is not a list of accepted card or account countries. Check the destination and product eligibility with Gooten, and contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets any payment requirement before you buy. Do not change your identity, address, or location to work around a restriction.

Gooten says it retries payment after a card is added or updated, but an order can remain in “Payment Issue” for only up to 15 days. Check the order’s status after correcting the problem. If it remains unresolved, ask Gooten about the order and Coinepay support about the card transaction; provide the order reference and any non-sensitive error details, not your CVV.

Before changing or cancelling an order

Resolve payment questions before an order enters production if you can. Gooten generally allows cancellation without charge before production. Once a vendor accepts an order for production, Gooten’s terms say it cannot be cancelled or refunded except under stated exceptions. Support may ask a vendor to intercept an in-production order, but the item remains chargeable and shipping may be refunded only if interception succeeds. Shipped orders cannot be cancelled.

For an eligible problem with a delivered or expected order, submit a reprint, refund, or return request within four weeks of receipt or expected delivery. Gooten asks for a product photo with reprint or refund requests and lists manufacturing faults, transit damage, wrong products, and qualifying lost shipments among the cases it covers. Gooten says it does not accept returned orders. If you no longer plan to use the account, you can request deactivation under Settings → Profile → Advanced Settings; closing it does not remove obligations for open orders.

FAQ

Does Gooten have a subscription fee?

No paid membership fee is published. Gooten charges merchants for products and shipping when orders move to production; VIM tiers are spending-based statuses.

Where do I add my Coinepay card in Gooten?

Go to Settings → Billing, add the card and your real billing address, and check whether it is selected as your primary payment method.

When will Gooten charge my card?

Gooten charges the merchant’s selected method for product and shipping costs when an order moves to production. Your customer pays you separately through your connected store.

What should I do if my Gooten order shows “Payment Issue”?

Check the saved payment method, billing address, and available funds. Address any authentication request, then check the order status after Gooten retries. Contact Gooten about the order or Coinepay support about the card if the issue persists.
