To send money from abroad to someone who uses Viva Wallet, first check which payout methods Coinepay offers for the recipient’s country. Viva.com calls its wallet a personal account, but its published mobile-number transfer instructions describe transfers made from one Viva.com account to another. They do not establish that an outside remittance service can pay directly into that account. This guide explains how to check for an available payout route in Coinepay, what to ask the recipient for, and what to do if a direct wallet option is not offered.

Check the recipient’s country and currency first

Viva.com operates in European markets; Greece is one country associated with its personal-account and mobile-number payment services. Do not assume that a Viva.com account in one country can receive the same type of payout as an account in another. Ask the recipient which country their account is registered in and which currency their account can receive. For a recipient in Greece, the local currency is the euro, but the currency and payout options for your particular transfer must be checked in the Coinepay app.

Coinepay Global Remittance supports cross-border transfers with bank deposit, mobile wallet and cash pickup payout methods. Availability of a Viva.com wallet payout is not established by Viva.com’s own transfer instructions. In the Coinepay app, choose the actual destination country and inspect the available methods. Proceed as a Viva.com wallet transfer only if the app explicitly offers an appropriate Viva Wallet or Viva.com payout option. If it does not, do not select another mobile wallet and assume the money will reach Viva.com.

Get the right details from the recipient

For a proposed payout to a Viva.com personal account, ask the recipient for:

  • The mobile number registered to their Viva.com personal account. Have them copy it from their account details or confirm it carefully, including the country code if Coinepay asks for one. Viva.com’s personal-account instructions identify the recipient by mobile number but do not specify a universal number format for outside transfers.
  • Their full name exactly as registered. Ask for the name shown on their verified account, not a nickname or an abbreviated version. Enter it as requested in Coinepay’s recipient form.
  • The account’s country and receiving currency. Confirm these with the recipient before choosing a destination or reviewing a conversion.

Use a Wallet ID or account ID only if the specific Coinepay payout form requests it and the recipient confirms it belongs to the intended account. Viva.com’s published instructions distinguish personal-account transfers, which use a mobile number, from transfers to a business account, which can use a VAT number (Tax ID) or Wallet ID. A business Wallet ID is not a substitute for a personal account’s registered phone number. Do not enter a business identifier in a personal-wallet field.

Ask the recipient to check that their account is active and that any verification required to receive the payment is complete. If they are unsure which identifier or currency to provide, pause before submitting the transfer and have them check their Viva.com account or contact Viva.com support.

How to send the transfer with Coinepay

  1. Open Coinepay. Sign in through the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app. You can get the app for iOS or Android. If you are new, register and complete the identity checks requested for your transfer.
  2. Choose Global Remittance and the destination. Select the recipient’s actual country. Check that the receiving currency shown is appropriate for their account.
  3. Inspect the payout methods. Select a Viva Wallet or Viva.com mobile-wallet payout only if it appears as an available option for that destination. If no such option appears, stop this wallet-payout flow. Ask the recipient whether they can accept another available method, such as a bank deposit, and obtain the details required for that method instead.
  4. Enter recipient details. Follow the fields displayed in Coinepay. For a personal account, use the recipient’s registered mobile number and full registered name where requested. Review the country code and every digit before continuing; do not substitute another person’s number.
  5. Review the quote. Check the amount, recipient, payout method, receiving currency, exchange rate and fees shown in the app before you confirm. The app also shows an estimated arrival time. If anything differs from what the recipient expects, go back and correct it rather than confirming.
  6. Confirm and track. Complete any requested verification, confirm the transfer and keep its reference. Follow its status in Coinepay’s transfer tracking until it is marked delivered or another action is requested.

Transfers can arrive in as little as 10 minutes, but the actual time depends on the payout method and destination country. Use the estimate and status shown for your own transfer rather than assuming a mobile-number payout will arrive at a particular time.

How the recipient checks for the money

If Coinepay offers and completes a direct Viva.com payout, the recipient should sign in to their Viva.com personal account and check their account balance and transaction activity for the incoming payment. They should verify the amount received rather than relying only on a notification. If the transfer is marked delivered in Coinepay but they cannot find it, compare the recipient details and transfer reference, then contact Coinepay support.

Do not confuse this with Viva.com’s own Send Money → to Personal account feature. That feature starts inside Viva.com: a Viva.com sender enters another personal account holder’s mobile number, selects Transfer Money and approves a push notification in the Viva.com app. It is not an instruction for initiating a Coinepay remittance. Similarly, IRIS Payments is a separate mobile-number payment route used in Greece; selecting a Coinepay destination does not automatically turn your transfer into an IRIS payment.

Verification and account restrictions

Check with the recipient before sending a large or time-sensitive payment. Their Viva.com account may have verification requirements or account-specific restrictions that affect whether it can receive funds. Viva.com’s guidance identifies pending verification and exceeded account limits as possible reasons a transfer may fail, but its published IRIS limits are for IRIS, not a general limit for receiving an outside wallet payout. The recipient should check the applicable status and limits in their own account or with Viva.com.

Coinepay transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may ask for documents explaining the payment’s purpose or source of funds. Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. Give accurate information about yourself and the recipient, and respond to any document request through the appropriate support or in-app process.

Troubleshooting a missing or rejected payment

Wrong mobile number

Before confirmation, return to the recipient form and correct the number. After confirmation, do not send a second transfer to test a correction. Check the tracked status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer reference. An incorrect number may not be recoverable through an edit to a submitted transfer.

Name mismatch

Compare the full name entered with the recipient’s registered account name, including the spelling and order they provided. If the transfer is still editable, correct it before confirming. If it has already been submitted, ask Coinepay support how to proceed. Do not use a different name simply to get past a check.

Wallet limit reached or account unverified

Have the recipient review any notice in their Viva.com account and complete legitimate verification steps if requested. They can ask Viva.com about their account’s receiving eligibility and applicable limits. Do not split a payment or route it through someone else to get around a restriction. If the wallet cannot receive it, ask Coinepay support what happens to the pending transfer before choosing another payout method.

Compliance review or no Viva.com option

If Coinepay shows a compliance review, follow its instructions and provide accurate documents if requested; transfer tracking will show the current status. If Viva.com does not appear among the available payouts, there is no direct Viva.com wallet route to select in that flow. Ask the recipient whether they can receive an available bank deposit or another supported payout method, then start a transfer using that method’s correct recipient details. For help interpreting a status or payout choice, contact Coinepay support.

FAQ

Can I send directly to any Viva.com account using a phone number?

Not necessarily. Check whether Coinepay explicitly offers a Viva Wallet or Viva.com payout for the recipient’s country. Viva.com’s published phone-number instructions describe transfers between Viva.com accounts.

Do I need the recipient’s phone number or Wallet ID?

A Viva.com personal account is identified by its registered mobile number in Viva.com’s own transfer instructions. Provide a Wallet ID only if the specific payout form requests it; Viva.com also uses Wallet IDs for business-account transfers.

What currency should I choose for a Viva.com recipient in Greece?

The local currency in Greece is the euro. Confirm the recipient account’s receiving currency and review the currency shown for the available payout in Coinepay before confirming.

What if Coinepay says the transfer is delivered but the recipient sees nothing?

Ask the recipient to check their Viva.com balance and transaction activity. Then compare the submitted details and contact Coinepay support with the transfer reference.

Are Viva.com’s IRIS limits the same as wallet payout limits?

No. IRIS is a separate payment route. The recipient should check their own account’s verification status and applicable receiving restrictions with Viva.com.
