To send money from abroad to someone who uses Paysera, first check which payout options Coinepay offers for that recipient’s destination. A Paysera account is not the same thing as an external mobile-money wallet, and a phone number alone does not establish that a Paysera payout is available. This guide explains what to ask the recipient for, how to review the transfer in Coinepay, and how to handle a payment that does not arrive as expected.
Where is Paysera used, and what currency should you choose?
Paysera LT is an electronic money institution licensed in Lithuania. Paysera accounts are not limited to recipients physically in Lithuania, however. The recipient’s country and the currency you can send depend on the payout route available for that transfer, not simply on where Paysera is licensed.
In the Coinepay app, select the recipient’s actual destination country and check the payout methods and currencies displayed there. Do not select Lithuania solely because the recipient uses Paysera, and do not assume that every destination offers a payout directly to a Paysera account. If Paysera is not listed, ask the recipient whether they can receive a bank-account deposit and obtain the account details required for that option. Confirm the available route in the app or with Coinepay support before sending.
What details should you get from the recipient?
Ask the recipient to check their Paysera account and send you the details for the payout method you intend to use. Collect:
- Their full name exactly as registered on the receiving account. Include all names the payout form requests rather than using a nickname or an abbreviated name.
- The identifier required by the available route. If the payout form accepts a Paysera-linked phone number, get the number registered to the recipient’s Paysera account. If it asks for an account number or account ID, ask the recipient to copy the relevant account details from Paysera. Use an email address only if the selected route specifically permits one.
- The correct destination country and receiving currency for the account and payout option shown in Coinepay. Ask the recipient to verify these if you are unsure.
Paysera calls a phone number, email address, account number or other identifying information a “Unique identifier” in its rules for transfers between Paysera users. Those rules do not mean that every Coinepay payout route accepts all of those identifiers. Follow the fields shown for the method you select; never substitute a phone number for an account number, or the other way around.
Verify the details with the recipient through a contact channel you trust, particularly if they have recently changed their number or sent new account instructions. Use your real identity and the recipient’s real account details. A wrong identifier can delay a payment or direct it to someone else.
How to send the transfer with Coinepay
- Sign in or register. Open the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard. If you are new, register with Coinepay and complete any identity verification required for the transfer.
- Start a cross-border transfer. Choose the recipient’s actual destination country. Review the payout methods the app offers for that destination.
- Select the appropriate payout method. Choose a Paysera payout only if the app explicitly displays it. Otherwise, if the recipient has provided suitable bank-account details, check whether bank deposit is available. Do not choose an unrelated mobile-wallet operator because the recipient has a Paysera account.
- Enter the recipient details. Type the full registered name and the phone number, account identifier or bank details requested by that specific form. Check every character against the details the recipient supplied.
- Enter the amount and review the quote. Coinepay shows the exchange rate and fees before you confirm. Check the receiving amount, currency, destination, payout method and estimated arrival time displayed in the app. If anything differs from what the recipient expects, stop and check before proceeding.
- Confirm and track the transfer. Submit it only when the details are correct. Use Coinepay’s transfer status tracking to follow its progress, and keep the transfer reference available in case either provider asks about the payment.
Transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may request documents about the purpose of a payment or the source of funds. Complete any request through the appropriate channel rather than attempting to reroute a transfer to avoid a review.
How does the recipient see the money arrive?
The recipient should check their Paysera account balance and transaction history for the incoming payment. Ask them to compare its amount and currency with the transfer details you confirmed in Coinepay. The way a payment appears can depend on the payout route: a bank deposit to Paysera account details is not necessarily presented in the same way as a transfer sent between two Paysera users.
That distinction matters when using a phone number. Paysera’s own Paysera-to-Paysera rules say that a transfer addressed to a phone number or email already linked to the intended Paysera account is credited to that account. If the identifier is not linked, credit may wait for the recipient to link it, where possible. These are rules for Paysera’s transfer service; they should not be taken as a promise about how a transfer initiated through Coinepay will be processed. If you are uncertain which route applies, check with Coinepay support before sending.
Verification, account limits and timing
Confirm that the recipient can use their Paysera account to receive the intended payment. Paysera says only fully identified clients can execute transfers through its mobile app. That rule concerns sending from the Paysera app; it does not, by itself, specify a receiving level for a Coinepay payout. Paysera account holders can review applicable transfer limits in their Paysera profile, and additional verification may be needed for changes. The recipient should check their own account status and any applicable receiving restrictions with Paysera rather than relying on another person’s account settings.
Coinepay transfers can arrive in as little as 10 minutes, but the actual time depends on the payout method and destination country. Use the estimated arrival time shown in the Coinepay app before confirmation, then follow the transfer status afterward. Do not treat a change to a Paysera balance as confirmed until the recipient can see the funds in their account.
Troubleshooting a missing or delayed payment
Wrong phone number or account identifier
Recheck the identifier against the recipient’s Paysera account and your Coinepay transfer record. Paysera warns senders using its own service to verify that an identifier belongs to the intended person. If you discover an error after confirming a Coinepay transfer, contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer reference. Do not assume a submitted payment can be changed or recalled.
Name mismatch
Ask the recipient for their full registered name and compare it with what you entered, including spelling and name order. If the transfer is already under review, follow the instructions shown in Coinepay or contact support. Do not enter a different person’s name to make the form accept the payment.
Account limit or verification issue
If the recipient reports an account restriction or a limit-related message, ask them to review their Paysera profile and contact Paysera for account-specific guidance. If Coinepay shows that the transfer itself cannot proceed, check its displayed requirements and contact Coinepay support. Do not repeatedly submit payments or split an amount to get around a restriction.
Compliance review or no visible credit
Check Coinepay’s status tracker first. A review may require information about your identity, the recipient, the payment’s purpose or the source of funds. Provide accurate documents if requested. If Coinepay shows the payment as completed but the recipient cannot find it in Paysera, have them check their transaction history and account details, then give Coinepay support the transfer reference. The recipient may also need to ask Paysera to trace an incoming payment using the details available to them.
