Amazon Pay is a checkout option at participating merchants, not a subscription you buy on its own. If a merchant offers Amazon Pay, you can sign in with your Amazon account and choose a payment method for that purchase. This guide explains how to try a Coinepay virtual card, what to check before confirming the order, and what to do if the payment is declined. Card acceptance depends on the checkout and its payment checks.
What you need before checkout
- A Coinepay account and virtual card. Register and complete identity verification before using Coinepay card services. Once your card is issued, its number, expiry date and CVV are available in Coinepay.
- Enough available funds. Check the card’s available balance against the full amount shown at checkout, including any shipping, tax or other charges.
- An Amazon account. You will need to sign in when you select Amazon Pay. Use your real account information and keep access to any sign-in verification method Amazon requests.
- A merchant offering Amazon Pay. Look for Amazon Pay among the payment choices on the merchant’s own checkout page. Its availability can differ by merchant, purchase and region.
- Accurate billing and delivery details. Have your real billing address ready, along with a delivery address if the purchase requires one. Check that the details you submit are consistent with the information associated with your card.
You can manage Coinepay through its self-service dashboard or mobile app. If you have not registered, create a Coinepay account first. Check the app or contact Coinepay support if you need to confirm a card detail before placing an order.
How to pay at an Amazon Pay checkout
- Build your order on the merchant’s site. Select the items or service you want, then review the merchant’s stated price, delivery options, renewal terms if applicable, and refund policy. Amazon Pay is the payment route; the merchant determines what you are buying.
- Select Amazon Pay. At checkout, choose the Amazon Pay button or payment option if it is offered. Follow the sign-in prompt for your Amazon account. Confirm that you are on the checkout flow you intended to use before entering account or card details.
- Choose or add a card. In the Amazon Pay payment selection flow, look for an option to add a payment method if your Coinepay card is not already available. Enter the virtual card number, expiry date and CVV as requested. Labels and screens may vary by checkout.
- Review the addresses. Select the correct shipping address if the order needs one, and enter your real billing address wherever requested. Do not substitute a different country or invented address to try to pass a payment check.
- Check the final order. Verify the amount, currency, merchant name, selected card and any delivery details shown before you place the order. If the merchant offers a recurring purchase, read its renewal and cancellation terms before agreeing.
- Complete any verification prompt. Your checkout may request an additional cardholder authentication step, such as 3-D Secure. Follow the instructions shown by the payment flow. Do not assume that entering the card details alone completes the purchase.
- Wait for confirmation. After submitting, look for an order confirmation from the merchant and check whether the checkout reports a successful payment. If the result is unclear, check the merchant’s order status and your available transaction information before trying again.
If you do not see Amazon Pay at the merchant’s checkout, you cannot select it for that purchase. The merchant may offer another payment route, but do not assume that its card-entry form uses the same checks or provides the same checkout experience.
Adding the card ahead of time
Depending on the Amazon account and the checkout presented, you may be able to manage payment methods in your Amazon account before you shop, or you may be prompted to add a card during Amazon Pay checkout. If you add the card ahead of time, enter its details exactly as shown in Coinepay and review the billing information you provide. Then return to the merchant’s checkout and confirm that the intended card is selected for this specific order.
Saving a card does not establish that a later purchase will be approved. An order can still be checked when you submit it, and a merchant may have requirements that differ from another merchant using Amazon Pay. If the checkout states a restriction on card type or issuing country, follow that restriction. Contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets a stated requirement before you buy; do not rely on a saved-card screen as proof.
What to check if your card is declined
A decline does not identify its cause by itself. Read the message shown at checkout, avoid repeatedly submitting the same unchanged details, and work through these checks:
Insufficient available balance
Compare the card’s available balance with the final amount, not just the item price. Shipping, taxes or a currency difference may change what is charged. If the balance appears sufficient but the checkout still fails, check the transaction information available in Coinepay and ask support to help interpret it. Do not assume an unsuccessful checkout created an order; verify with the merchant.
Billing address or card-detail mismatch
Recheck the card number, expiry date and CVV against the details in Coinepay. Correct typing errors and make sure the billing address you entered is your real address and matches the information associated with the card where required. A shipping address can be different from a billing address; choose the appropriate address in each field rather than copying one into both without checking.
3-D Secure authentication did not complete
If an authentication screen appears, follow its instructions and wait for the checkout to return a result. A closed window, expired session or incomplete prompt can interrupt payment. If verification repeatedly fails or you cannot access the requested step, contact Coinepay support with the time of the attempt and the message you saw. Do not send your CVV or full card number in a support message.
Merchant or regional eligibility checks
An Amazon Pay option at one merchant does not mean it is available for every account, location or purchase. The merchant or payment flow may check the customer’s region, delivery destination, card characteristics or other order details. If the checkout states a card-type or issuing-country requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets it before you buy. If the purchase is unavailable in your region, respect that restriction; changing your address or using a VPN is not a valid fix.
If a payment appears to have been taken but the merchant reports no order, gather the merchant name, amount, date and any order or error reference. Ask the merchant about the order first, and contact Coinepay support about the card transaction if needed. Do not place a duplicate order until you understand the status of the first attempt.
After you pay: receipts, renewals and refunds
Keep the merchant’s order confirmation and review the charge in your Coinepay dashboard or app. For a purchase made through Amazon Pay, start with the merchant when you need to change an order, cancel a service or request a refund; its terms govern the item or subscription you purchased. You may also review the payment activity available in your Amazon account. The location and level of detail shown can vary, so retain the merchant’s confirmation as well.
If a merchant sells a recurring service, check whether you authorized recurring charges and note where that merchant lets you manage the subscription. Adding a Coinepay card to a checkout does not itself cancel a subscription later. For a card transaction you do not recognize, review your order records and promptly contact Coinepay support.
