Zid is a Saudi-based e-commerce platform that lets merchants build and run an online store. If you want to upgrade from the free tier to a paid plan, you will need a card on file for checkout and automatic renewal. This guide explains what you need, how to sign up and pay, and how to troubleshoot a declined card when you use a Coinepay virtual card.
What you need before you start
Paying for Zid goes smoothly when your details line up before you reach checkout. Have the following ready:
- A verified Coinepay account. Register at Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) first — card services are only available after KYC is approved.
- A Coinepay virtual card. Once issued, you can see the card number, expiry date and CVV instantly in the Coinepay app (iOS / Google Play) or the 24/7 dashboard.
- Enough balance on the card. Cover the plan price plus any small validation charge. Zid notes that it may charge and automatically return a nominal amount (it mentions SAR 1) to confirm a card is valid.
- Your real billing details. Use the name and billing address tied to your Coinepay account. Mismatched details are a common cause of declines.
Zid's terms state that plan fees may be charged in Saudi riyals or in the merchant's local currency, and that the price is displayed during registration. Always confirm the amount and currency shown at your checkout before you pay.
Zid plans and pricing
Zid announced a four-plan lineup in March 2026: Starter (البداية), Rise (الانطلاقة), Growth (النمو) and Professional (الاحترافية). Starter is free; Professional requires a custom quote.
At the time of writing (October 2026), the Saudi Arabia pricing page lists Rise at SAR 99 monthly or SAR 990 billed annually, and Growth at SAR 299 monthly or SAR 2,990 billed annually. The Egypt page lists Rise at EGP 1,128 monthly or EGP 11,286 annually, and Growth at EGP 3,408 monthly or EGP 34,086 annually. Prices vary by region and change over time, so check the official Zid pricing page for your country for the current figure before you subscribe.
Documentation can lag behind: some Zid pages still reference older plan names such as Lite/Growth/Professional. Trust the plan name and price shown on the current pricing page and at your actual checkout.
Step 1: Create your Zid store
On the Zid site, register with your email or a Google account. Verify your email address and mobile number, then enter your store and business details. This creates your merchant account and takes you to the dashboard where plans are shown.
Step 2: Choose a plan
From the dashboard, go to the store logo → Manage Subscription → Manage. This page shows your current plan, expiry date, payment method, automatic renewal status and transaction history. Select the plan you want to subscribe to or change to, and confirm the billing cycle (monthly or annual). Annual options are billed as a single annual charge, not a smaller monthly amount.
Step 3: Pay at checkout
For a plan change or renewal, Zid lets you complete checkout by electronic payment or the Zid wallet. Note that bank transfer is not available for monthly plans. To pay with your Coinepay virtual card:
- Choose electronic payment as the method.
- Enter your Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV exactly as they appear in the app.
- Enter the billing name and address that match your Coinepay account.
- If a 3-D Secure (OTP) prompt appears, approve it using the verification method on your Coinepay account.
- Confirm the payment and wait for the success confirmation.
To keep a card on file for renewals, add it under Manage Payment. Zid runs a small validation charge (and returns it) when a card is added to check it is valid. An older Zid FAQ says electronic-payment subscriptions activate immediately, while bank-transfer subscriptions take 1–3 working days; timing on any specific checkout can vary.
Troubleshooting a declined card
If your payment fails, Zid's payment gateway documents a set of codes you may see referenced. Use them to narrow down the cause:
| Code | Meaning | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| ZDP001 | Insufficient funds | Top up your Coinepay card so it covers the full plan price plus any validation charge, then retry. |
| ZDP002 | Card declined by bank | Confirm the card is active in the Coinepay app and that your details are correct; contact Coinepay support if it persists. |
| ZDP003 | Expired card | Check the expiry date in the app; if the card has expired, issue a new one and update it under Manage Payment. |
| ZDP004 | Timeout | Wait a moment and try again on a stable connection. |
| ZDP015 | Incorrect card number or expiry | Re-enter the full number and expiry exactly as shown in Coinepay. |
| ZDP006 | Incorrect security code | Re-check the CVV in the app and enter it again. |
| ZDP008 | Authentication error | Complete the 3-D Secure / OTP step correctly and promptly. |
| ZDP009 / ZDP010 | Processing or unknown error | Retry later; if it continues, contact Zid customer service and Coinepay support. |
Insufficient balance
This is the most common cause. Make sure your Coinepay card holds the plan amount plus the small validation hold. Annual plans are charged in full as a single payment, so budget for the yearly figure, not the monthly equivalent.
Billing address mismatch
Enter the billing name and address that match your Coinepay profile. A mismatch can trigger a decline even when funds are available.
3-D Secure
If an OTP or authentication prompt appears, approve it through your Coinepay account without delay. An authentication failure stops the charge.
Merchant and region checks
Zid's terms also list an expired card or insufficient funds as reasons a renewal can fail, and an unsuccessful renewal will not renew automatically. Card acceptance for subscription checkout can depend on the card network and region, and the exact subscription-card networks Zid accepts are not published. If you are unsure whether your card will be accepted, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before you buy, and check with Zid customer service for merchant-side restrictions.
Managing renewal, cancellation and refunds
To avoid an unwanted charge, turn off automatic renewal in Manage Subscription at least three days before your plan expires. Zid says a cancelled subscription stays usable through the period you already paid for. Cancelling the account itself is different — that requires contacting support ([email protected]) and ends access immediately.
Zid's terms say payments are generally non-refundable for partial periods, subject to stated exceptions. Reported exceptions include a 24-hour window for a promotional subscription; for an annual subscription, a full-refund request within 10 days if other services were unused, or a partial-refund request through day 14 with one month and used services deducted; and for a monthly subscription, a request within three days if other services were unused. A merchant with more than 50 orders is refused a refund. Transfer or gateway fees may be deducted, and Zid says it reviews refund requests in 3–5 days and generally returns eligible sums through the original payment route — so keeping your Coinepay card active helps the refund land.

FAQ
Which Coinepay card details do I enter at Zid checkout?
Choose electronic payment and enter the card number, expiry date and CVV shown in your Coinepay app, along with the billing name and address that match your Coinepay account. If a 3-D Secure prompt appears, approve it to complete the charge.
Why was my card charged a small amount and then refunded?
When you add a card for automatic renewal, Zid runs a small validation charge (it mentions SAR 1) and returns it to confirm the card is valid. Make sure your Coinepay card has enough balance to cover this hold plus the plan price.
How much does a Zid plan cost?
Zid offers Starter (free), Rise, Growth and Professional. At the time of writing (October 2026) Saudi pricing lists Rise at SAR 99/month or SAR 990/year and Growth at SAR 299/month or SAR 2,990/year, with different figures in Egypt. Prices vary by region, so check Zid's official pricing page for your country.
My Zid payment was declined — what should I do?
Match the gateway code to the cause: top up for insufficient funds (ZDP001), re-check the card number/expiry (ZDP015) or CVV (ZDP006), confirm the card has not expired (ZDP003), and complete the 3-D Secure step (ZDP008). If it keeps failing, contact Coinepay support and Zid customer service.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my Zid subscription?
Zid says payments are generally non-refundable for partial periods, but lists exceptions such as a 24-hour window for promotional plans, a 10-day full-refund window for annual plans if other services were unused, and a three-day window for monthly plans. Merchants with more than 50 orders are refused. Refunds are reviewed in 3–5 days and usually returned to the original card.
