MyPay is a mobile wallet used in Nepal, where wallet balances are held in Nepalese rupees (NPR). If you want to send money from abroad to someone’s MyPay account, first check whether MyPay appears as a payout option for Nepal in Coinepay Global Remittance. Do not select a different wallet and assume it will deliver to MyPay.
Before you start: check the payout option
Coinepay supports cross-border transfers with mobile wallet payouts, but the available payout methods can depend on the destination and the transfer shown in the app. Choose Nepal as the destination and look for a payout method explicitly identified as MyPay. If it is not listed, contact Coinepay support before sending. Ask whether a direct payout to a MyPay wallet is available and what recipient details its instructions require.
This distinction matters because MyPay also has an in-app feature called Send Money. MyPay describes that feature as a way to enter a recipient’s mobile number, an amount, a purpose and remarks within its own app. It is not an instruction to send an international transfer through MyPay’s Send Money screen. MyPay’s terms restrict the use of that feature for remittance activities, so do not try to use a personal wallet transfer as a workaround for an unavailable international payout.
What to ask the MyPay recipient for
Before opening the transfer form, ask the recipient to check their MyPay account and provide:
- The mobile number registered with MyPay. Have them read it directly from their account details rather than relying on a number saved in your contacts. MyPay’s own Send Money instructions use a mobile number; they do not establish which number format Coinepay’s international payout form will request. Follow the format displayed in Coinepay.
- Their full name exactly as registered. Ask for the name on their MyPay account and identity documents, including the correct spelling and order. Enter their real details, not a shortened name or nickname.
- An account ID, only if requested. If Coinepay’s MyPay payout form asks for a wallet or account ID instead of, or in addition to, a phone number, have the recipient confirm it in MyPay. Do not substitute a guessed ID or assume a different identifier will work.
Ask the recipient to confirm that they can access the wallet and that its verification status permits them to receive the intended payment. MyPay provides an identity-verification path at Profile → Fill up KYC. Wallet activity is subject to applicable limits and account checks; an unverified wallet may have restrictions. Neither sender nor recipient should assume that a payment will fit within the recipient’s available wallet allowance without checking the account or asking MyPay.
How to send to MyPay with Coinepay
- Open Coinepay Global Remittance. Sign in through the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard. If you are new, register and complete any identity checks requested for the transfer.
- Choose Nepal as the destination. Select the mobile wallet payout category and look for MyPay by name. If MyPay is absent, stop and ask Coinepay support about available options; do not choose another wallet for this recipient.
- Enter the recipient’s details. Use the registered mobile number and full name the recipient confirmed. If the form requests an account ID, enter the ID the recipient verified. Follow any additional fields shown for this payout method and check every digit before continuing.
- Enter the transfer information. Specify the amount and give accurate information about the payment if prompted. Coinepay may request documents about the purpose or source of funds as part of its checks.
- Review before confirming. Check the recipient, destination, payout method and amount. Coinepay shows the exchange rate, fees and estimated arrival time before confirmation. Review what the recipient is expected to receive and correct any mistake before authorizing the transfer.
- Confirm and keep the record. Submit the transfer only when the details are correct. Save its reference or confirmation so you can identify the payment if you need help.
- Track its status. Follow the transfer in Coinepay’s app or dashboard. A submitted transfer is not the same as a confirmed wallet credit; wait for the status and ask the recipient to check their MyPay account.
Coinepay transfers can arrive in as little as 10 minutes, but the actual delivery time depends on the payout method and destination country. Use the estimate shown before confirmation for the transfer you are making, rather than treating the earliest possible arrival as a promise.
How the recipient checks for the money
Tell the recipient when you have confirmed the transfer and share the amount they should expect, without sending them your card or account credentials. They should sign in to their own MyPay account and check their wallet balance and transaction history for an incoming credit. They should compare the transaction details with your transfer information, allowing for the amount shown in the receiving currency on Coinepay’s review screen.
If you see a completed status but the recipient cannot find the credit, ask them to check that they are signed in to the account associated with the number you entered. They can then contact MyPay using its official support details, while you contact Coinepay support with the transfer reference. Do not send a second payment merely because the first has not appeared yet; establish its status first.
MyPay verification, wallet limits and permitted use
MyPay asks users to maintain accurate, current account information and provides KYC submission under Profile → Fill up KYC. The recipient should complete any verification MyPay requests and check their current account permissions before expecting a substantial incoming payment. Nepal’s wallet rules and the recipient’s MyPay account status can affect what the wallet may receive or hold. Check current requirements with MyPay rather than relying on an older published threshold.
Use this route only for a payout Coinepay actually offers and for a lawful, accurately described transfer. Coinepay transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. A request for supporting information is a normal reason to pause and respond with genuine documents—not to reroute the payment through another person or divide it to avoid a check.
Troubleshooting a MyPay payout
Wrong mobile number or account ID
If you have not confirmed the transfer, correct the detail on the review screen. If you have already confirmed it, contact Coinepay support promptly with the reference and the correct information. MyPay identifies incorrect mobile numbers and incomplete instructions as possible causes of payment problems. Do not assume an incorrect payout can be edited or recovered after submission.
Name mismatch
Compare the recipient name on the transfer with their name as registered with MyPay. A nickname, typo or different name order may require clarification. If the transfer is already under way, give Coinepay support the reference and ask what correction, if any, is possible. The recipient should keep their own MyPay account information accurate.
Wallet limit reached or unverified wallet
Ask the recipient to check their wallet status and any notices in MyPay. If verification is needed, they can use Profile → Fill up KYC and follow MyPay’s instructions. Do not attempt to bypass a wallet limit by splitting a transfer or sending it through someone else’s account. Ask Coinepay support what happens to a transfer the receiving wallet cannot accept.
Transfer pending or under compliance review
Check the status in Coinepay before taking further action. Coinepay may ask for identity, purpose-of-payment or source-of-funds documentation; respond accurately through its stated process. MyPay’s terms also allow restrictions on suspicious transactions. If Coinepay marks a transfer completed but the credit is missing, contact both services with the transaction details. MyPay’s terms ask users to report service-related grievances or claims to its support team within 10 days of the transaction.
