You can use happn for free, or choose a paid subscription in the app. If you want to pay with a Coinepay virtual card, first check which checkout will bill you: Apple, Google Play, or a direct card checkout offered by happn. That choice determines where you add your card, manage renewal, and request a refund.
What you need before subscribing
- A happn account. You must be at least 18. The mobile app offers phone-number or Apple/Google sign-in; the web app offers phone-number or Google sign-in. Use your real identity and follow happn’s terms and regional requirements.
- A Coinepay virtual card. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Your card number, expiry date, and CVV are available after issuance in the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
- Enough available funds. Check the total shown at checkout, not just an advertised subscription price. If you select a multi-month happn subscription, happn says the full amount is charged at checkout.
- Accurate payment details. Enter your own billing information and ensure it matches the details associated with your card. For an app-store purchase, check the payment and country settings of the Apple or Google account that will be charged.
Coinepay services are not available in every jurisdiction. Check the app or contact Coinepay support if you need to confirm card-service availability or details for a particular checkout. A virtual card does not bypass happn’s eligibility rules, store-country rules, or payment checks.
Choose a happn offer and identify the checkout
Happn’s paid subscription tiers are HAPPN Premium and HAPPN Supreme. It also sells SuperCrush and Boost packs separately; buying a pack is not the same as starting a subscription. Review the benefits, duration, total charge, and renewal terms displayed for your account before paying. Offers and prices can vary by region and platform, so use the price shown in your checkout rather than assuming a price seen elsewhere applies to you.
In the happn mobile app, go to My Account → in-app store, or tap a paid feature to see available offers. Select the subscription and duration you want, then check who is taking payment. An iPhone purchase made through the App Store is billed through your Apple account. A Google Play purchase is billed through your Google account. Happn’s terms also describe direct Stripe-processed card payment on its web app and Android app. Follow the checkout actually presented to you; do not assume every payment route appears on every device or account.
How to pay with your Coinepay virtual card
Option 1: App Store checkout on iPhone
- Open happn and sign in, or create an account using an offered sign-in method.
- Go to My Account → in-app store, or open a paid feature. Select an available subscription and review its duration and renewal details.
- When the App Store purchase sheet appears, check the Apple account and payment method it will use. If you want to use your Coinepay card, add or select its card details in your Apple account’s payment settings, if that option is available for your account and country.
- Confirm the purchase through Apple’s prompts. Check the purchase confirmation before assuming the subscription has started.
Apple determines which payment methods are available for your store account. Adding card details does not establish that Apple will accept a particular card or transaction.
Option 2: Google Play checkout on Android
- Sign in to happn, open My Account → in-app store, and choose an offer and duration.
- If Google Play handles the purchase, verify the Google account shown on its checkout screen. Add or select your Coinepay card as that account’s payment method where available.
- Review the total and renewal information, then confirm through Google Play. Keep the resulting receipt for your records.
Google Play payment methods vary by country. If your Play account is set to another country, changing that country can require a payment method from the new country. Use your actual country and billing details rather than changing settings to get around a payment restriction.
Option 3: Direct card checkout on web or Android
- Sign in to happn’s web app or Android app and select an available paid offer.
- If happn presents a direct card form rather than an Apple or Google purchase sheet, review the offer and enter your Coinepay card number, expiry date, and CVV.
- Provide your real billing details where requested. Complete any verification prompted during payment, and wait for a confirmation before trying again.
Happn describes direct card payments through Stripe on the web and Android. Its payment information describes web card payments differently from the card wording in its terms, so do not infer that a particular virtual card will qualify. If checkout specifies a card-type or country-of-issue requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets it before you buy. For questions about a direct happn payment or subscription, contact happn support.
What to do if your card is declined
A decline does not by itself identify which service rejected the payment. Note whether the error appeared in an Apple purchase sheet, Google Play checkout, or happn’s direct card form, and check for a receipt or pending transaction before submitting payment again. The following are possible causes, not diagnoses of a specific happn error:
- Insufficient available balance: Check the final checkout total and your available funds in Coinepay. A multi-month happn plan is charged in full at purchase, even when its duration spans several months. If the balance is too low, add funds through the available Coinepay options before retrying.
- Billing details do not match: Recheck the card number, expiry date, CVV, name, and billing information you entered. If the purchase is store-billed, also inspect the payment details saved to your Apple or Google account. Correct genuine errors; do not enter an invented address.
- 3-D Secure or another verification step is incomplete: If checkout asks you to authenticate, follow the on-screen instructions and return to the purchase. If the prompt expires or does not appear, check whether the transaction completed before making another attempt. Contact Coinepay support if you need help with a card-authentication issue.
- Merchant or store region checks: Happn offers, store payment methods, and billing eligibility can vary by country. Check that your real account country and billing details are consistent with the checkout’s requirements. Neither a new address nor a different account region is a substitute for eligibility.
- Another payment or card issue: An expired card, incorrect CVV, or a general decline may also prevent payment. If the store reports the error, ask Apple or Google about the store transaction. For a direct checkout, ask happn support about its payment attempt and Coinepay support about your card. Avoid repeated retries while the first charge is unclear.
Manage renewal, cancellation, and refunds
Happn subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. For an Apple-billed purchase, find the plan and renewal date at iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → happn. For a Google Play purchase, go to Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → happn. Happn advises cancelling store subscriptions at least 24 hours before renewal. Deleting happn or your account does not cancel a store subscription; subscription benefits generally continue through the paid period after cancellation.
For a direct card purchase, use the subscription controls offered in happn and contact happn support if you cannot locate the cancellation or card-management option. Keep the purchase confirmation and check that cancellation has been recorded. Cancelling early does not ordinarily refund the unused part of a subscription.
Refund requests follow the billing route. Ask Apple about an Apple-billed purchase. For Google Play, happn directs requests made within 48 hours of purchase to Google; after 48 hours, happn says it can review a request only if you contact it within 14 days of purchase. For a direct card purchase, contact happn about any applicable withdrawal or refund request. A refund request alone does not cancel renewal, so check the subscription separately.
Before you confirm payment
Verify the tier, duration, full amount due today, renewal terms, and billing provider on the final screen. Keep the receipt so you know whether to contact Apple, Google, or happn about a purchase. If you need help accessing your virtual card or checking a card transaction, use the Coinepay dashboard or Coinepay support. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions.
