You can send money to Turkey from the Netherlands with Coinepay quickly and securely. Whether your money transfer to Turkey from the Netherlands is for family, a friend or a business partner, check the available payout options and transfer details in the app before you pay.

  • Delivery estimate: Transfers can arrive in as little as 10 minutes; actual delivery time depends on the payout method and destination country.
  • Costs shown upfront: See the exchange rate and all Coinepay fees before you confirm.
  • Ways to receive: Bank deposit, mobile wallet and cash pickup payouts are supported. Check which options appear for your recipient when you set up the transfer.

How to send money to Turkey from the Netherlands

  1. Enter the amount you want to send and choose the currency the recipient gets. Turkey’s local currency is the Turkish lira (TRY); if you are sending euros, select EUR as the sending currency.
  2. Add the recipient using their full legal name, then choose an available payout method. Enter the requested bank, wallet or cash-pickup details carefully.
  3. Review the exchange rate, fees, recipient details and estimated arrival time. Confirm and pay, then follow the transfer’s status in Coinepay.

Use your own verified account and accurate information about the person receiving the funds. If a payout option does not appear during setup, do not assume it is available for that transaction; choose an option shown in the app or contact support.

How long does a transfer to Turkey from the Netherlands take?

Transfers to Turkey from the Netherlands can arrive in as little as 10 minutes; the actual time depends on the payout method and destination country, including the receiving bank or provider, and the estimated arrival time is shown in the app before you confirm.

Payout methodWhat the recipient needsWhat affects delivery time
Bank depositAn account able to receive the selected payout, with the name and Turkish IBAN or other details requested in the app.Receiving-bank processing, cut-off times, local holidays and account-detail checks.
Mobile wallet, if available for this transferAn eligible wallet account, such as Papara where offered, and the wallet details requested during setup.Wallet-provider processing, eligibility checks and matching the recipient’s registered details.
Cash pickupValid identification and any pickup information provided after the transfer is arranged.Pickup-location hours, provider checks and the recipient’s ability to collect the funds.

Receiving-bank cut-off times, weekends and Turkish or Dutch holidays can affect processing. Identity or other compliance checks may also take time. An incorrect name, IBAN, wallet detail or other required field can delay a payment or cause it to be returned. If the estimate changes, check the transfer status before asking the recipient to make arrangements around its arrival.

How much does it cost to send money to Turkey from the Netherlands?

Coinepay shows the exchange rate and every Coinepay fee in the app before you confirm a transfer. Review both the amount you pay and the amount the recipient is expected to receive. The total can depend on the sending amount, the currencies selected and the available payout method, so compare the details shown for your actual transaction rather than relying on a previous quote.

If the recipient chooses bank deposit, ask them to check whether their own bank charges an incoming-payment fee. That bank’s charges are separate from the Coinepay fees displayed for your transfer. For a business payment, confirm with the recipient which party is responsible for any receiving-bank charges before you send.

Ways to receive money in Turkey from the Netherlands

Choose a payout method during transfer setup. The options available for an individual recipient can vary, so check the app rather than assuming that every account, wallet or pickup location can accept your payment.

Bank deposit to a Turkish account

Ask the recipient for their full name as it appears on the account and their Turkish IBAN. A Turkish IBAN contains 26 characters and begins with TR. Copy it from the recipient’s bank details rather than assembling it yourself. For an international bank-transfer route, the receiving bank may also ask for its SWIFT/BIC and possibly the recipient’s address or branch information; enter those only if requested for the payout you are setting up.

Turkey is not in SEPA: having a Turkish IBAN does not turn a Netherlands-to-Turkey payment into a SEPA transfer. If the recipient is unsure which details their account accepts, they should ask their bank. Do not substitute codes used for other countries, such as an IFSC or CLABE, for Turkish bank details.

Papara mobile wallet, where available

If a Papara wallet payout appears in Coinepay for the recipient, follow the app’s instructions for the required wallet details. The recipient should check that the registered name and phone number they provide match their eligible Papara account. Confirm the details required for this specific payout before paying: instructions published for another transfer provider do not establish that the same wallet route is available through Coinepay.

Papara states that its accounts cannot receive SWIFT transfers. Do not enter Papara wallet details as though they were an international bank account. If mobile wallet is unavailable in the app, ask the recipient whether an available bank-deposit or cash-pickup option suits them instead.

Cash pickup

If cash pickup is offered for your transfer, select an available pickup option and enter the recipient’s legal name exactly as shown on their ID. After you send, share the pickup instructions and transfer details through a channel you trust. The recipient should bring valid identification and any information the pickup provider requests. They should check the location and its opening hours before travelling; availability may depend on the transaction and pickup provider.

What you need to send money to Turkey from the Netherlands

  • A verified Coinepay account: Register and complete the identity checks required for your transfer. Use your real identity and your own accurate details.
  • The recipient’s full legal name: It should match the name on their bank or wallet account, or the ID they will present for cash pickup.
  • Payout details: Have the Turkish IBAN and any requested bank information for deposit, the requested registered details for an available wallet, or the information needed to arrange cash pickup.
  • Transfer information: Be ready to provide the purpose of the payment or documents concerning the source of funds if asked.

Turkey’s local currency is the Turkish lira (TRY). If sending from a euro balance or payment source, check the EUR-to-TRY details displayed for your transfer. For a supplier or other business payment, verify the beneficiary details against the invoice and keep the transaction information for your records.

How Coinepay keeps your transfer safe

Coinepay uses identity verification and screens customers and counterparties against sanctions lists. Transfers are also subject to local regulations, and you may be asked for documents about the payment’s purpose or source of funds. Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions.

You can track each remittance’s status in the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard. These tools are available around the clock, so you can check whether a transfer is still being processed or needs your attention. For an unexpected request or a detail you cannot correct in the app, use Coinepay support. Only share sensitive transfer information through appropriate Coinepay channels; never send a recipient’s ID or bank details in response to an unverified message.
