To send money from abroad to someone’s NayaPay wallet in Pakistan, start a transfer in Coinepay Global Remittance and check whether NayaPay is available as a payout option for your transaction. Before confirming, verify the recipient’s wallet details and review the exchange rate, fees and estimated arrival time shown in the app.
What is NayaPay, and what currency does it use?
NayaPay is a Pakistan-based electronic money institution, not a bank. Its personal wallet holds Pakistani rupees (PKR). If you are sending from another country, the recipient should expect the amount credited to an eligible NayaPay wallet to be shown in PKR. Coinepay displays the exchange rate and fees before you confirm, so you can check the amount the recipient is expected to receive.
A transfer to a NayaPay wallet is different from a transfer to a Pakistani bank account. It is also different from using Raast, Pakistan’s domestic payment system. Do not assume that a mobile number, NayaPay ID, Raast ID and bank account number all lead to the same destination.
Get the recipient’s details before you start
Ask the recipient to check their NayaPay app and send you the following details directly:
- Their full name exactly as registered with NayaPay. Match the spelling and name order in the transfer form. Do not substitute a nickname or someone else’s name.
- Their registered mobile number or NayaPay ID, according to the identifier requested for the payout option shown in Coinepay. Confirm the country code if the form asks for one. A NayaPay ID is an identifier for a NayaPay user and can have a format such as ab@nayapay.
- Confirmation that the wallet can receive the payment. Ask the recipient to check their current wallet status and limits in their NayaPay app profile before you send.
Copy the identifier from the recipient rather than guessing it from a saved contact. In particular, a NayaPay ID is not a Raast ID. A phone number registered to a wallet may also be linked as a Raast ID to a different receiving account. If the available payout option asks for a Raast ID, IBAN or bank account details instead of a NayaPay wallet identifier, stop and confirm the intended destination with the recipient. Do not enter one kind of identifier into a field meant for another.
How to send money to a NayaPay wallet with Coinepay
- Open Coinepay Global Remittance. Sign in through the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app. If you are new, register and complete any required identity verification.
- Choose the destination. Start a cross-border transfer and select Pakistan as the destination. Enter the amount you want to send, following the options displayed in the app.
- Select the payout method. Look under the available mobile-wallet payout options for NayaPay. Choose it only if it is offered for your transfer. If you cannot find it, do not select a different wallet or a bank route merely because the recipient uses NayaPay; contact Coinepay support to check the available route.
- Enter the recipient’s information. Use the registered mobile number or NayaPay ID requested by the selected payout form, plus the recipient’s full registered name. Review every digit and character with the recipient. Provide any other information the app requests accurately.
- Review the transfer. Check the destination, payout method, recipient identifier and name, the expected PKR payout, exchange rate, fees and estimated arrival time displayed before confirmation. If anything differs from what the recipient provided, correct it before proceeding.
- Confirm and track it. Submit the transfer only when the details are right. Use Coinepay’s transfer status tracking to follow its progress, and keep the transaction reference for any support request.
Transfers can arrive in as little as 10 minutes, but the actual delivery time depends on the payout method and destination country. Use the estimate shown in Coinepay for your particular transfer rather than treating the earliest possible arrival as a promise.
How the recipient checks for the money
Ask the recipient to open their NayaPay app and check their PKR wallet balance and Payments or transaction history for an incoming transaction. They should compare the credited amount and transaction details with the information you sent them. An alert on its own is not a substitute for checking the wallet record.
If your Coinepay transfer still shows as pending, continue to follow its status before assuming the wallet has been credited. If Coinepay shows a completed transfer but the recipient cannot find the money, ask them to check the correct NayaPay account and its transaction history. Keep the Coinepay reference and ask the recipient to retain any NayaPay transaction ID that appears. Contact Coinepay support if the two records do not match.
NayaPay wallet verification and receiving limits
NayaPay publishes different personal-wallet limits for an initial wallet and one upgraded through biometric verification. Incoming transfers are subject to the recipient’s applicable limits, which can depend on their verification status and other account factors. Because a limit may affect whether a payment can be received, the recipient should check their current limits in their NayaPay app profile before you confirm a transfer, especially if they have recently received other payments.
If the wallet is not sufficiently verified or has reached an applicable limit, ask the recipient to follow NayaPay’s own instructions to resolve the account issue. Do not send to another person’s wallet or divide a payment to work around a limit or review. Wait until the intended recipient can receive the transfer through an eligible route.
Troubleshooting a delayed, declined or missing payment
Wrong number or NayaPay ID
If you have not confirmed the transfer, edit the identifier and verify it with the recipient. If you already confirmed it, check the transfer status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the reference. Do not assume a completed payment can be recalled. If a separate Raast payment was made instead, note that a phone number used as a Raast ID could point to another account; completed Raast transactions are final under Pakistan’s rules.
Recipient name mismatch
Compare the name entered in Coinepay with the name the recipient sees on their NayaPay account. Ask the recipient for the exact registered name rather than trying spelling variations until a form accepts one. If the transfer is already under way, use its status and reference when contacting support instead of submitting a duplicate.
Wallet limit reached or verification incomplete
Have the recipient check their current limits and verification status in the NayaPay app profile. They may need to complete NayaPay’s applicable verification process or wait until they can receive funds within their account’s rules. If you are unsure whether a pending transfer will be returned or completed, ask Coinepay support about that specific transaction.
Compliance review or no visible credit
Cross-border transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may request documents explaining the payment’s purpose or source of funds. Respond with accurate information through the requested channel and keep tracking the transfer; a review does not by itself tell you when a payout will arrive.
If NayaPay shows an incorrect or missing transaction, the recipient can check Payments or transaction history, retain the transaction ID and use NayaPay’s in-app Dispute Center or its customer support channel. NayaPay’s terms call for incorrect or unauthorised transactions to be reported without undue delay. The sender should separately provide Coinepay support with the transfer reference so both sides can investigate the same payment.

FAQ
What details do I need to send money to a NayaPay wallet?
Get the recipient’s full name exactly as registered and the registered phone number or NayaPay ID requested by the available payout form. Confirm the identifier with the recipient before sending.
Does a NayaPay wallet receive Pakistani rupees?
Yes. NayaPay personal wallets hold Pakistani rupees (PKR). Review the expected payout, exchange rate and fees in Coinepay before confirming.
Can I use the recipient’s Raast ID instead of their NayaPay ID?
Do not treat them as interchangeable. A Raast ID may be linked to a different receiving account. Use the identifier requested by the selected payout method and confirm the destination with the recipient.
What if the recipient has not received the transfer?
Check the transfer status in Coinepay, then ask the recipient to check their NayaPay balance and Payments or transaction history. Keep the transfer reference and contact Coinepay support if the records do not match.
