If someone asks you to send money to their “NALA account,” first confirm where they actually want to receive it. NALA is a money-transfer app, while a recipient’s mobile-money wallet is a separate account with a provider such as M-PESA or GCash. To send with Coinepay, select the recipient’s country and the available wallet provider—not NALA as a payout method unless the Coinepay app explicitly offers it.
Confirm the destination and wallet before sending
There is no single country or currency for a “NALA account.” NALA describes mobile-money delivery in several countries, and the recipient receives funds through a wallet provider in the destination country. For example, NALA lists M-PESA and Airtel Money for Kenya, where the local currency is the Kenyan shilling (KES). In Tanzania, where the local currency is the Tanzanian shilling (TZS), its listed providers include Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money and Vodacom M-Pesa. The provider and payout currency you can use for a particular Coinepay transfer are the ones shown in the Coinepay app.
Other examples in NALA’s destination information include GCash and Maya in the Philippines, bKash and Nagad in Bangladesh, and JazzCash and Easypaisa in Pakistan. These examples describe wallet providers, not a universal NALA wallet. Availability can change, so check the destination and payout choices in Coinepay before asking the recipient to rely on a particular route.
This distinction matters for some destinations. NALA describes Nigeria and South Africa as bank-account destinations rather than mobile-wallet destinations. It describes UPI ID delivery in India separately from its phone-number mobile-money flow. Do not select a mobile-wallet payout simply because the recipient uses NALA to send money elsewhere.
Ask the recipient for the right details
Before starting, ask the recipient to check their wallet app or provider account and send you:
- The destination country and wallet provider. “Mobile money” alone is not enough where several providers operate.
- The mobile number registered to that wallet. Enter it in the format Coinepay requests for the destination. Do not substitute a different contact number.
- Their full name exactly as registered with the wallet provider. Use their real details, including the first and last name where requested.
- An account identifier only if the selected payout form asks for one. Do not guess an ID or use a NALA app identifier in place of a wallet number.
Ask the recipient to confirm that the wallet is active and able to receive the intended amount. NALA’s guidance identifies the phone number as the principal mobile-money payout identifier: a different saved name does not necessarily stop delivery to a number. That makes a final, digit-by-digit number check especially important. Providing an accurate registered name is still the right approach for Coinepay’s form and any provider checks.
Send to the wallet with Coinepay
- Open Coinepay Global Remittance. Register and complete any identity verification requested for your transfer. You can manage transfers from the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app for iOS or Android.
- Choose the destination country. Select the country where the recipient’s mobile-money wallet is registered, then look for a mobile-wallet payout option.
- Select the actual wallet provider. Choose the provider shown in Coinepay that matches the recipient’s account, such as M-PESA for an eligible Kenyan wallet. Do not treat the NALA app itself as the provider unless it appears as a selectable payout option.
- Enter the recipient’s details. Use their registered wallet number and full registered name, along with any other information the payout form requests. Check the destination, provider and number against what the recipient supplied.
- Enter the amount and review the quote. Coinepay shows the exchange rate and fees before you confirm. Check the displayed recipient amount and payout currency as well as the recipient details.
- Confirm and track the transfer. Authorise it only when the information is correct. Then use the transfer’s status tracking in Coinepay rather than assuming the recipient has been paid as soon as you confirm.
NALA’s own instructions use a different sending flow: Send → Send to a phone number → Add mobile money recipient. That is for sending inside NALA, not a set of buttons to follow in Coinepay. When paying through Coinepay, follow the options displayed in Coinepay for your destination.
How does the recipient see the money?
A successful mobile-wallet payout goes to the recipient’s existing account with the selected provider, rather than automatically appearing as a balance in a NALA Wallet. The recipient should check that provider’s app, wallet balance or transaction statement. They may receive a provider notification, but should check the wallet directly if no message arrives. Their ability to use or withdraw the funds depends on the provider’s rules.
Keep your Coinepay transfer reference until the recipient confirms receipt. If Coinepay shows the transfer as delivered but the recipient cannot find it, ask them to check the correct wallet and registered number before contacting Coinepay support with the transfer reference. Do not initiate a replacement payment solely because an SMS has not arrived.
Check the recipient’s wallet limits and verification level
The wallet provider’s receiving rules are separate from the options and checks on your Coinepay transfer. A provider may apply per-transaction, daily or wallet-balance restrictions, and the amount a recipient can receive may depend on their registration or verification tier. For example, NALA’s recipient guidance describes tier-dependent allowances for Tanzanian mobile-money wallets and tier-dependent limits for some Philippine wallets, including GCash and Maya.
Ask the recipient to check their current tier, available receiving capacity and wallet balance with their provider before you confirm, especially if they expect a larger payment or have already received funds recently. Do not assume that a published provider allowance applies to every account. If a payout cannot proceed because of a wallet restriction, the recipient should ask their provider what verification or account action is needed; the sender should wait for the transfer status before trying again.
Troubleshooting a delayed or unsuccessful payout
- Wrong number: Recheck the submitted number against the number registered with the selected provider. If you have not confirmed the transfer, correct it first. If you have confirmed it, contact Coinepay support promptly and provide the reference. Do not assume a delivered payout can be redirected or recovered.
- Name mismatch: Ask the recipient for their full registered name and compare it with your submission. Although NALA says a different saved name does not necessarily prevent phone-number delivery in its own flow, another payout’s checks may differ. Follow any correction instructions given for your Coinepay transfer.
- Wallet limit reached: The provider may reject a payout that exceeds the recipient’s available allowance or balance capacity. Have the recipient check with the provider; do not repeatedly send while the first transfer’s status is unresolved.
- Unverified wallet: The recipient may need to complete the provider’s required identity checks or move to an eligible verification tier. Only the provider can explain what is required for that wallet.
- Compliance review: Coinepay transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may request documents explaining the payment purpose or source of funds. Respond through the official app or support channel and follow the tracked status; do not use another person’s wallet to avoid a review.
Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. If the destination or wallet payout method is not offered, choose an available, appropriate route in the app or ask support for guidance rather than entering a different country or someone else’s details.

FAQ
Can I select NALA as the mobile-wallet provider in Coinepay?
Select the recipient’s actual wallet provider from the payout methods shown in Coinepay. Do not assume a NALA account or NALA Wallet is a selectable mobile-wallet destination.
Do I need the recipient’s NALA account ID?
For a phone-number mobile-wallet payout, ask for the number registered with the wallet provider and the recipient’s full registered name. Enter an account ID only if Coinepay’s selected payout form requests one.
What if the recipient did not get an SMS?
Ask them to check their provider wallet balance or statement, then compare it with the tracked Coinepay transfer status. Contact Coinepay support with the transfer reference if it shows delivered but the funds are missing.
Can a verified sender pay an unverified recipient wallet?
The recipient’s provider may impose receiving restrictions based on their wallet’s verification tier. Ask the recipient to check their eligibility and available capacity with that provider before sending.
