Salesforce Sales Cloud is a CRM platform sold as a subscription per user per month. If you manage your spending with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks through what you need before you buy, how the Salesforce sign-up and checkout flow works, where billing settings live, and what to try when a card is declined. Salesforce controls its own pricing, plans and payment acceptance, so always confirm the details in your own Salesforce account before you commit.
Before you start
To pay for a paid subscription you need three things in order:
- A verified Coinepay account. Register at Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) first. You can then create a virtual card from the Coinepay dashboard or the mobile app (iOS / Google Play), which gives you an instant card number, expiry date and CVV.
- Enough balance on the card. Salesforce bills most tiers annually, so the amount charged at checkout can be much larger than one month's list price. Load the card for the full order total plus any applicable taxes shown on the order form.
- Your real billing details. Use the name and billing address that match your Coinepay account. Salesforce requires accurate billing information, and a mismatch is a common cause of declines.
Salesforce does not publish a single, verified list of card brands accepted for a Sales Cloud subscription checkout. It documents credit cards for subscription orders, and (where arranged on an order form) check, wire transfer or direct debit. If you are unsure whether your Coinepay card will be accepted for this purchase, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before you buy.
Know the plans and prices
Salesforce's Sales pricing page lists a Free Suite plus paid tiers Starter Suite, Pro Suite, Core, Advanced and Max. The Free Suite includes two user licenses, needs no card or contract, and stays available as long as a user logs in at least once every 60 days.
List prices are per user per month and vary by region. At the time of writing (October 2026), the United States page shows Starter Suite $25, Pro Suite $100, Core $195, Advanced $395 and Max $550; the United Kingdom page shows Starter Suite £20, Pro Suite £80, Core £156, Advanced £316 and Max £440. Starter Suite can be billed monthly or annually, while the other displayed tiers are billed annually. Prices differ in the euro area, Australia, Japan and elsewhere, and published prices are informational and subject to change. Always check the current figure on the Salesforce pricing page for your region, and remember the order form sets the actual fees and billing frequency.
Option A: free trial, then self-checkout (new customers)
Salesforce advertises a 30-day trial without a credit card. A trial with no paid sign-up or billing details expires automatically, so there is nothing to cancel if you walk away.
- On the Salesforce or Starter Suite page, start the free trial or choose the plan you want.
- Create your account and sign in to your new org.
- When you are ready to pay, follow the self-checkout prompts for Starter Suite. Salesforce's current page does not document every screen of that initial checkout, so follow the on-screen steps.
- At the payment screen, enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, and the billing name and address that match your Coinepay account.
- Review the total and the subscription agreement, then confirm the order.
Option B: buy from within an existing Salesforce account
If you already have an org, purchases run through the Your Account app. Reach it via Setup → Your Account or the App Launcher; Starter and Pro Suite also surface Your Account in the left menu or under Quick Settings → Billing and Purchases.
- Open Your Account and choose Browse & Buy.
- Select the contract, then select products and quantities.
- Review your cart and choose Check Out.
- As a card payer, review the pre-tax total and subscription agreement, then click Place Order.
Orders paid another way use Order & Sign with DocuSign instead of the card Place Order step, so make sure you are on the card path if you intend to use your Coinepay card.
Managing card details and paying invoices
Inside Your Account, use Go to Contracts → select contract to reach renewal, payment-information and billing-address controls. To pay an invoice, use Go to Invoices → select invoice → Make Payment.
Some customers use the separate Salesforce Billing Portal, which relies on a Trailblazer Account and contract-level billing-contact access. Its Contracts tab edits card details and billing address, and eligible invoices show Invoices → Pay Now. Note that the Billing Portal cannot change the contracted payment method—Salesforce directs you to Customer Service for that—and it does not allow a self-service change of billing country.
Card declined? Common causes and fixes
Salesforce's Billing product documentation describes gateway statuses such as Decline, Validation Error, Permanent Fail, Requires Review, System Fail and Unknown, with examples like bank restrictions or insufficient funds, incorrect payment details, and gateway timeouts. These are not guaranteed to be the exact messages you will see at a Sales Cloud checkout, but they point to the usual culprits:
- Insufficient balance. Annual billing means the charge can be large. Confirm your Coinepay card holds the full order total plus taxes, then retry.
- Billing address mismatch. Enter the exact name and billing address tied to your Coinepay card. A mismatch often triggers a validation error.
- 3-D Secure / extra verification. If a confirmation step appears, approve it promptly in the Coinepay app. An expired prompt can cause the attempt to fail.
- Incorrect card details. Re-check the card number, expiry and CVV from your Coinepay dashboard before trying again.
- Merchant or region checks. Salesforce says product availability can vary by market, and it does not publish a complete list of supported subscription card-issuing countries. It prohibits use of its services in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk without required authorization, and other export or sanctions restrictions can apply. Coinepay likewise screens customers against sanctions lists and does not serve sanctioned persons or comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions.
One unverified user report mentions a Starter-account "billing and credit info" error that blocked payment, without a confirmed cause or fix. If a payment keeps failing after you have checked balance, address and card details, contact Salesforce Customer Service, and check with Coinepay support to confirm the charge was not blocked on the card side.
Renewals, cancellation and refunds
Under Salesforce's Main Services Agreement dated September 1, 2026, purchased fees are ordinarily non-refundable, payment obligations are non-cancelable, and purchased quantities cannot be reduced mid-term unless the agreement or order form says otherwise. Unless an order form states otherwise, subscriptions auto-renew for one year, and written non-renewal notice must reach Salesforce at least 30 days before the term ends.
The Billing Portal FAQ (September 11, 2026) says eligible contracts can disable auto-renew with a Contracts toggle only from 90 to 7 days before term-end, and to contact your account executive if the toggle is unavailable. Do not rely on that portal window alone—check which agreement and order form govern your purchase. A paid customer who wants to cancel is directed to the Salesforce Customer Service Billing Department; an unused trial with no paid sign-up needs no cancellation action.
Because fees are generally non-refundable, your Coinepay card may be charged for a full annual term you cannot undo—budget accordingly before placing the order.
Quick checklist

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card to pay for Salesforce Sales Cloud?
Salesforce documents credit cards for subscription orders but does not publish a single verified list of accepted card brands for this checkout. Enter your Coinepay card details with matching billing information, and if you are unsure, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before you buy.
How much will Salesforce charge my card at checkout?
Most paid tiers above Starter are billed annually, so the charge can be much larger than one month's list price. At the time of writing (October 2026) US list prices run from $25 (Starter Suite) to $550 (Max) per user per month, but prices vary by region and the order form sets the actual fee—check the official Salesforce pricing page.
Why was my card declined at the Salesforce payment screen?
Common causes include insufficient balance for an annual charge, a billing address that does not match your card, an unapproved 3-D Secure prompt, mistyped card details, or merchant region and sanctions checks. Fix the detail, approve any verification in the Coinepay app, and retry; if it persists, contact both Salesforce and Coinepay support.
Do I need a card to start a Salesforce trial?
No. Salesforce advertises a 30-day trial without a credit card, and the Free Suite needs no card or contract. A trial with no paid sign-up expires automatically, so you only need your Coinepay card when you move to a paid plan.
Can I get a refund if I cancel Sales Cloud early?
Under the September 1, 2026 Main Services Agreement, purchased fees are ordinarily non-refundable and subscriptions auto-renew for one year unless the order form says otherwise. A prepaid refund applies only when you terminate for cause under the agreement's termination clause. To cancel, contact the Salesforce Customer Service Billing Department.
