You can create a Tidio account without a card, then add a Coinepay virtual card when you choose a paid subscription. This guide covers what to prepare, where to find Tidio’s billing settings, and what to check if a payment does not go through.

What you need before you start

  • A Tidio account: Sign-up asks for a work email, password and website, plus agreement to Tidio’s terms and privacy policy. Use your real account and business details.
  • A Coinepay account: Register and complete identity verification before using card services. Coinepay issues virtual cards with a card number, expiry date and CVV, accessible through its self-service dashboard and mobile app.
  • Enough available funds: Check the final amount at Tidio checkout before paying. Tidio says displayed prices exclude applicable taxes and any fees or surcharges charged by banks or payment providers.
  • Accurate billing information: Have your genuine billing name and address ready. The details you enter for payment should be consistent with the information associated with your card.

If you have not set up Coinepay, register here. You can also manage your account in the Coinepay app for iOS or Android. Check the app or contact Coinepay support for questions about your card or available services in your jurisdiction.

Choose the Tidio subscription you want

Tidio’s customer-service plans are Free, Starter, Growth, Plus and Premium. Free includes 50 billable human conversations per month. Starter includes 100, while Growth begins at a 250-conversation tier; higher Growth conversation tiers cost more. Lyro AI Agent and Flows can also have separately priced quotas or be selected alongside a customer-service plan. Review the packages and quotas you actually need before entering payment details.

At the time of writing (October 2026), Tidio listed Starter at $29 on monthly billing or a $24.17-per-month equivalent when billed annually. Growth started at $59 monthly or a $49.17-per-month equivalent when billed annually at the 250-conversation tier. Plus started at $300 per month plus monthly usage, with an arrangement through sales; Premium required a custom quote. These are plan prices, not a promise of your checkout total. Check Tidio’s official pricing page and the amount shown at checkout for current prices, billing frequency, taxes and any applicable additions.

A new Tidio account starts with a seven-day trial of paid features. When the trial ends, you can continue on Free or select a paid plan. Creating the free account does not require a card, so you can inspect the product and your subscription options before deciding to pay.

How to sign up and pay with your Coinepay card

  1. Create your Tidio account. Go to Tidio’s official site and open its sign-up page. Enter your work email, create a password, provide your website and review the terms and privacy policy before agreeing. Follow any on-screen steps to finish account setup.
  2. Choose a package. In your Tidio account, open Settings → Project → Billing → Subscription → Edit subscription. Select the available customer-service plan, conversation tier, billing frequency and any additional packages that fit your needs. Plus and Premium changes may require help from Tidio’s team rather than a self-service selection.
  3. Review the order. Check whether you selected monthly or annual billing, what usage or quota applies, and the final sale price displayed at checkout. In particular, a monthly equivalent for an annually billed plan is not necessarily the amount due for one month.
  4. Enter your card and billing details. Open your Coinepay dashboard or app to get your virtual card number, expiry date and CVV. Enter them in Tidio’s payment form, along with your genuine billing information. Tidio lists Settings → Project → Billing → Billing details as the area for card and invoice details.
  5. Complete any requested verification. If checkout opens a payment-authentication step, follow the legitimate instructions shown. Do not close the page or submit multiple new orders while a payment is still being processed.
  6. Confirm the result. Return to Tidio’s Subscription area to check the selected package. Billing details is also where you can review card and invoice information and download available invoices. Check your Coinepay activity as well. If the subscription did not update, investigate before trying again to avoid an unintended duplicate purchase.

Payment is subject to Tidio’s checkout checks and service availability; entering a card does not ensure an order will be accepted. If Tidio requests information you cannot provide accurately, pause and ask the appropriate support team rather than changing your identity or billing details to get around the check.

If Tidio declines your card or payment fails

The following checks address common causes; they are not Tidio-specific error messages. Read the notice actually shown at checkout first. Tidio’s terms also allow it to refuse an order for reasons including suspected fraud or unauthorized activity, order or pricing-description errors, and service availability. An order refusal may therefore need Tidio’s review rather than another card attempt.

Insufficient available balance

Compare your card’s available funds with the full checkout amount, not just an advertised monthly equivalent. Check your billing frequency, selected Growth conversation tier, any Lyro AI Agent or Flows quota, and applicable taxes. If the balance is insufficient, add funds through an available Coinepay method shown in your account and wait until the funds are available before retrying. Check the Coinepay app or support for any account-specific funding details.

Billing address or card-detail mismatch

Recheck the card number, expiry date and CVV for typing errors. Then review the billing name and address you supplied to Tidio against your real details associated with the card. Tidio’s Settings → Project → Billing → Billing details area holds card and invoice information. Correct genuine errors there or at checkout; do not substitute an address from another country to force a purchase.

Payment-authentication or 3-D Secure issue

If a 3-D Secure challenge appears, complete it through the legitimate flow presented at checkout. An expired session, closed authentication window or failed challenge can stop a payment even when the card details are correct. Start a fresh checkout session if instructed. If you cannot complete the challenge or are unsure whether an attempted charge went through, check your Coinepay activity and contact Coinepay support before submitting another payment.

Merchant region or account checks

Tidio’s terms restrict use by sanctioned or otherwise prohibited parties and locations, and Tidio may limit service by country. If checkout flags your location, account or billing information, verify that your real details are accurate and ask Tidio whether the service is available to you. Do not use a different address, identity or location to bypass a restriction. Coinepay also does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions.

If a payment on an existing subscription is troubled, Tidio documents that re-entering card details can trigger an immediate retry. First check whether a charge or subscription update has already occurred. If the problem persists, contact Tidio about the order or subscription and Coinepay support about card activity, sharing the time and amount of the attempt without sending your full card details in a message.

Manage future charges or cancel

To change a self-service package, return to Settings → Project → Billing → Subscription → Edit subscription. Review any proposed change and its price before confirming it. For eligible new projects on standard monthly paid plans, Tidio says automatic upgrades are enabled by default: an alert appears at 80% of a quota, and an upgrade can occur at 95%. Tidio says this setting can be disabled; its help guidance excludes annual, Plus, Free and trial plans from that automatic-upgrade arrangement. Check your project’s current settings if predictable subscription spending matters to you.

To cancel, Tidio directs users to Settings → Billing → Subscription → Cancel subscription, followed by confirmation. Tidio says there are no new charges after cancellation; paid access continues until the next billing date and then changes to Free. Cancellation does not refund unused time in the current billing period. Keep the confirmation and review your subscription status afterward.

FAQ

Do I need a card to create a Tidio account?

No. Tidio does not require a card to create a free account, and new accounts start with a seven-day trial of paid features.

Where do I add or update my payment card in Tidio?

Open Settings → Project → Billing → Billing details for card and invoice information.

Why is my Tidio payment failing when my card has funds?

Check the full checkout total, card and real billing details, and any payment-authentication request. Tidio may also apply account or regional checks.

What happens if I cancel a paid Tidio plan?

Tidio says paid access remains until the next billing date, then changes to Free. Unused time in the current billing period is not refunded on cancellation.
