You can send money to Iraq with Coinepay quickly and securely. Whether your money transfer to Iraq is for family, friends or a business partner, check the available payout options and full transfer details in the app before you pay.

  • Potentially fast delivery: Transfers can arrive in as little as 10 minutes, depending on the payout method and destination country.
  • Costs shown upfront: The exchange rate and all fees are displayed before you confirm.
  • Ways to receive: Bank deposit, mobile wallet and cash pickup payouts are supported; check the options available for your recipient in the app.

How to send money to Iraq

  1. Enter the amount you want to send and choose the currency the recipient gets, such as Iraqi dinars (IQD) if offered for your transfer.
  2. Add the recipient using their full legal name, then choose an available payout method. Enter the bank, wallet or pickup details requested in the app.
  3. Review the exchange rate, fees, recipient details and estimated arrival time. Confirm and pay, then track the transfer’s status in Coinepay.

How long does a transfer to Iraq take?

Transfers to Iraq can arrive in as little as 10 minutes; actual delivery time depends on the payout method, destination country and receiving bank or provider, and the app shows an estimated arrival time before you confirm.

Payout methodWhat the recipient needsWhat affects delivery time
Bank depositAn eligible account with accurate account and bank detailsBank processing, cut-off times and account-detail checks
Mobile wallet, where availableAn eligible wallet, such as ZainCash if shown as an option, with matching account detailsWallet-provider processing and identity or account checks
Cash pickupValid identification and any pickup reference supplied for the transferPickup-location hours, cash availability and identity checks

Receiving-bank cut-off times, weekends and local holidays, identity or compliance checks, and incorrect recipient details can all affect speed. A transfer may also need additional review before the recipient can access the money. Use the estimate for your particular transfer rather than assuming that one payout method will always be faster than another.

How much does it cost to send money to Iraq?

Coinepay shows the exchange rate and every fee in the app before you confirm a transfer. Review the amount you pay alongside the amount the recipient is expected to receive: those figures matter more than comparing a fee on its own. The total can vary with the amount, the currencies selected and the payout method available for that recipient. If the money is going to an Iraqi bank account, ask the recipient to check whether their own bank charges an incoming fee. Review the final quote again if you change the recipient or payout method before confirming.

Ways to receive money in Iraq

The payout choices displayed in Coinepay determine what is available for a particular transfer. Ask your recipient which option they can access, and enter details for that option rather than assuming that every Iraqi bank, wallet or pickup location participates.

Bank deposit

Ask for the recipient’s full legal name and the account details shown by their bank. An Iraqi IBAN has 23 characters: IQ, two check digits, a four-letter bank identifier, a three-digit branch identifier and a 12-digit account number. Depending on what the app requests, you may also need the account number, the bank’s SWIFT/BIC, the bank and branch names, and the recipient’s or bank’s address. Do not build an IBAN from an account number yourself; have the recipient copy it from their bank. Check each character carefully, because an incomplete IBAN, BIC or name can delay or prevent a deposit.

ZainCash mobile wallet

ZainCash documents receipt of certain international transfers into its Iraqi wallet, but that does not establish that a ZainCash payout is available for every Coinepay transfer. Select it only if the Coinepay app offers it for your recipient. Ask the recipient for the wallet details requested on the transfer screen and enter their English name exactly as it appears in their ZainCash record. The recipient should check that their wallet can accept the incoming transfer and the currency shown in the app; ZainCash documents IQD receipt for its international-transfer service.

Cash pickup

If cash pickup appears as an option, select an available pickup location and enter the recipient’s legal name exactly as it appears on their government-issued ID. After confirmation, share the pickup instructions and any transfer reference the app provides directly with the recipient. They should bring their ID and follow the location’s instructions. Location hours, identification requirements and cash availability can affect when pickup is possible, so check the transfer status before they travel.

What you need to send money to Iraq

You need a Coinepay account and must complete identity verification before using the applicable service. Have the recipient’s full legal name exactly as shown on their bank account, wallet record or ID, plus the payout details for the method you select. Iraq’s local currency is the Iraqi dinar (IQD); check the app for the currencies offered for your transfer and the amount the recipient is due to get.

Be ready to explain the purpose of the transfer if asked. Depending on the transaction and local requirements, Coinepay may request identity documents or information about the source of funds or your relationship to the recipient. Use your real identity and accurate recipient details. If a field is unclear, ask the recipient or contact Coinepay support before confirming rather than guessing.

How Coinepay keeps your transfer safe

Coinepay uses identity verification and screens customers and counterparties against sanctions lists. Transfers are subject to local regulations, and additional documents may be requested where needed. Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions.

Every Coinepay remittance has status tracking, so you can check its progress in the mobile app or 24/7 self-service dashboard. Review the recipient’s details and the transfer summary before you confirm, and share pickup information only with the intended recipient. If you notice an error or a status you do not understand, contact support promptly; the dashboard is available around the clock, but a particular resolution time is not promised.
