Capture One Pro is a professional photo editing and tethered capture tool, sold from the Capture One web store either as a recurring subscription or a one-time perpetual license. This guide explains how to pay for it with a Coinepay virtual card, from creating your profile to clearing checkout, and what to try if your card is declined.
What you need before you start
Capture One's checkout is handled by FastSpring, and the payment methods shown depend on your location, currency and the product you choose. Before you buy, make sure you have the following ready:
- A verified Coinepay account. You must register and complete identity verification (KYC) before you can use card services. If you have not done this yet, create your Coinepay account and finish verification first.
- An active Coinepay virtual card. Once issued, your card number, expiry date and CVV appear instantly in the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app.
- Enough balance on the card to cover the plan you want, plus any applicable taxes shown at checkout.
- Your real billing details — name, address and country — exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account. Capture One assigns your store currency by geolocation, so your billing country matters.
Capture One lists these card networks for the web store: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB and UnionPay (American Express is excluded for INR transactions). Coinepay does not publish which network its card uses here, so if a specific network is required, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets this requirement before you buy.
Choose the right Capture One plan
The individual web-store products are named Capture One Pro, All in One and Capture One Studio, each offered with monthly or annual billing. Capture One Pro is also sold as a one-time perpetual license. A few things to note:
- Capture One Mobile is sold through Apple's App Store, not the web store, so it is paid through your Apple account rather than directly with a card at checkout.
- Capture One Studio for Teams and Capture One Studio for Enterprise are multi-user subscriptions arranged through sales, not the individual web-store checkout.
Prices vary by region and the store assigns your currency automatically based on your location (falling back to USD or EUR where your local currency is unsupported). Because displayed prices change, check the current figure on the official Capture One pricing page before you confirm your order rather than relying on any amount quoted elsewhere.
Step-by-step: subscribe and pay
- Create or sign in to your profile. Go to captureone.com, use the account icon, and either continue with Apple, Google or Microsoft, or select Sign Up, verify your email address and set a password. Use the email you want tied to the purchase.
- Add your product to the cart. From the Capture One pricing page, choose Capture One Pro (subscription or perpetual), select monthly or annual if applicable, and use the Buy now control.
- Proceed to checkout. FastSpring handles the purchase and shows the payment methods available for your order. Alongside cards, you may see Amazon Pay (USD), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal where eligible, and AliPay for eligible one-time purchases — visibility depends on your location, currency, product and device.
- Enter your Coinepay card details. Select the card option, then type your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV. Keep the app open so you can copy the exact values.
- Fill in billing details that match your card. Enter the same name, address and country registered to your Coinepay account.
- Complete any 3-D Secure step. If your bank prompts for extra verification, approve it through the method Coinepay uses for authentication.
- Confirm and save your records. After payment, you'll receive an order confirmation and license details. You can later sign in with the purchase email and open Order History → View to reach FastSpring.
Where to manage billing later
Sign in using the purchase email, then open Order History → View. From there:
- Orders holds your purchases and invoices.
- Subscriptions holds billing history and subscription controls.
- Account Details and Payment Methods holds your billing details and saved cards.
To change your renewal card, add the new method under Account Details and Payment Methods, then use Order History → Subscriptions → Manage → Update payment method. The replacement card must match the subscription's original currency. If you want to move from a monthly to an annual plan, eligible direct-web-store customers can switch without cancelling and repurchasing; switching annual back to monthly is not supported by that feature.
Troubleshooting a declined card
Capture One documents several checkout errors, including "Your credit card was declined," "your order could not be accepted," an invalid security code/CVC message, and an unexpected error preventing payment acceptance. The issuing side must clarify any specific decline, but these are the common causes and what to do:
| Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|
| Insufficient funds | Confirm your Coinepay card balance covers the plan plus any tax shown. Top up in the app if needed and retry. |
| Incorrect card or security code | Re-enter the card number, expiry and CVV exactly as shown in the Coinepay app; the "invalid security code/CVC" error usually means a mistyped CVV. |
| Billing address or IP mismatch | Make the billing name, address and country match your Coinepay account details precisely. |
| Spending or online-purchase limits | Check any per-card spending limit in the Coinepay dashboard and adjust if your plan allows. |
| 3-D Secure not completed | Finish the bank verification prompt. An abandoned or interrupted authorization can trigger a decline. |
| Cross-border or region checks | FastSpring restricts purchasers in certain jurisdictions, including Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, Syria, Palestine and Ukraine's Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Make sure you are buying from an eligible location using your real details. |
| Suspected fraud / card expiry | A valid, unexpired card and a confirmed purchase pattern help; your bank may need to clear the transaction. |
Never use fake billing details, generated identities or tools to bypass a region check — doing so breaks Capture One's terms and will not help your payment go through. If the card details and balance are correct and the order still fails, reach Coinepay support to confirm there is no block on your card, and contact Capture One Support for store-side issues.
Cancellations and refunds
To stop a web-store subscription, use Plans & Services Management → Manage → Cancel Subscription. Access continues through the current billing cycle and you can reverse cancellation before the displayed deactivation date. If you subscribed through the App Store, cancel in your Apple device's Settings → [name] → Subscriptions instead. Capture One warns that cancelling a web-store subscription through PayPal rather than the store immediately disables the license with no refund for the remaining period.
On refunds, Capture One states a web-store subscription or perpetual license is fully refundable within one year of purchase only if the license key has not activated the software; once activated, the order is non-refundable under its published policy. Request an eligible web-store refund from Capture One Support (not FastSpring); Apple handles App Store refunds and resellers handle their own sales.

FAQ
Which Capture One plan can I pay for with a Coinepay card?
You can use a card at the Capture One web store for the individual products — Capture One Pro, All in One and Capture One Studio — on monthly or annual billing, and for the Capture One Pro perpetual license. Capture One Mobile is bought through Apple's App Store, and Studio for Teams or Enterprise go through sales rather than the web-store checkout.
Why was my Coinepay card declined at Capture One checkout?
Common causes are insufficient balance, a mistyped number or CVV, a billing-address mismatch, a per-card spending limit, an incomplete 3-D Secure step, or a region restriction. Check your details and balance in the Coinepay app, complete any verification prompt, and contact Coinepay support if the card still fails.
Does Capture One accept the Coinepay card network?
Capture One lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB and UnionPay for its web store (American Express is excluded for INR). Coinepay does not state its network in this guide, so contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before you buy.
Can I change the card used for my Capture One renewal?
Yes. Sign in with your purchase email, add the new card under Account Details and Payment Methods, then use Order History → Subscriptions → Manage → Update payment method. The replacement card must match the subscription's original currency.
Can I get a refund if I paid with my Coinepay card?
Capture One says a web-store subscription or perpetual license is refundable within one year only if the license key has not activated the software; after activation it is non-refundable. Request eligible refunds from Capture One Support, not FastSpring.
