If someone in Bangladesh asks you to send money to their SureCash account, check the wallet name before starting. Rupali Bank says its former Rupali Bank SureCash service has been replaced by RupaliCash. An old SureCash account number or transfer instruction may not work for a current payout. This guide explains what to confirm with your recipient, how to check the available payout methods in Coinepay, and what to do if a transfer cannot be completed.
Is SureCash still the right wallet to select?
SureCash was used in Bangladesh, where the recipient would receive funds in Bangladeshi taka (BDT). For a Rupali Bank wallet, however, the current service is called RupaliCash. Do not select a payout method solely because an old SureCash page, message or screenshot names it. Ask your recipient which wallet they currently use, then check the mobile-wallet methods offered for Bangladesh in the Coinepay app.
Only proceed if Coinepay displays a payout method that matches the recipient’s current wallet and accepts the recipient details you have. Do not assume that selecting a similarly named wallet will route money to RupaliCash. If SureCash appears but your recipient now uses RupaliCash—or if neither appears—contact Coinepay support before confirming a transfer. Support can help you understand the options shown in your account; availability should be checked for the particular transfer.
Bangladesh distinguishes between domestic mobile-financial-service transfers and inward remittances disbursed through permitted channels. The fact that a wallet supports local Send Money transfers does not, by itself, establish that it can receive a particular international payout.
What details should you get from the recipient?
Before opening a transfer, ask the recipient to check their current wallet account and give you:
- The registered mobile phone number or wallet account ID required for the payout method displayed in Coinepay. Use the field labels in the app rather than guessing which identifier to enter.
- Their full name exactly as registered with the wallet provider. Ask them to check spelling and name order against their account details and identity document.
- Confirmation of the wallet provider: whether their active account is RupaliCash or a different Bangladeshi mobile wallet, rather than an older Rupali Bank SureCash account.
- Confirmation that the account is active and appropriately verified to receive the intended payment, subject to the provider’s current rules.
SureCash’s older instructions referred to a 12-digit SureCash account number for its domestic Send Money service. Treat that as historical information, not as a current format requirement for a Coinepay remittance or a RupaliCash payout. Enter an account ID only if the current Coinepay payout form specifically requests one and the recipient has verified it against their active account.
Use the recipient’s real details. Do not substitute your own phone number, another person’s wallet or an altered name to get past a validation check. If the recipient is unsure of their registered details, they should resolve that with their wallet provider before you send.
How to check and send a mobile-wallet transfer
You can manage transfers in the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app. If you are new to Coinepay, register and complete the identity checks requested for your account. Follow the transfer flow shown to you; screens and available methods can vary.
- Choose Bangladesh as the destination. Start a new cross-border transfer and enter the amount. Check the receiving currency and other details shown in the app.
- Review the available payout methods. Choose mobile wallet, then select SureCash only if it is actually offered and matches the recipient’s active account. If the recipient uses RupaliCash, look for that exact option. Do not assume the two names are interchangeable.
- Enter the recipient details requested. Supply their registered phone number or account ID as the form specifies, plus their full registered name. Check every digit and letter with the recipient before continuing.
- Review the transfer before confirming. Coinepay shows the exchange rate, fees and estimated arrival time before confirmation. Check the destination, payout method, recipient identifier, name and amount. If a wallet option or detail does not look right, stop and contact support rather than testing it with a transfer.
- Confirm and track the transfer. Complete any requested verification and save the transfer reference. Coinepay provides status tracking so you can see whether the transfer is processing, requires attention or has been marked delivered.
Transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may request documents about the purpose of the payment or source of funds. Supply accurate information through the requested channel and wait for the review to finish; do not use another person or split a payment to avoid a check.
How will the recipient know the money has arrived?
Ask the recipient to check the transaction history and available balance in their current wallet, not an old SureCash instruction page. Rupali Bank says RupaliCash provides transaction notifications and confirmation messages, as well as mini and full statements in its app. Those features describe RupaliCash transactions generally; the recipient should confirm a specific inward payout in their own account rather than relying only on the sender’s transfer status or a text message.
If Coinepay marks the transfer delivered but the recipient cannot find it, compare the transfer reference, wallet provider and recipient identifier with the details entered. The recipient can check their wallet statement and contact their provider; you can contact Coinepay support with the transfer reference. Do not share a wallet PIN or one-time password with the sender, an agent or anyone offering to locate the payment.
Wallet verification and receiving limits
Wallet providers can apply account-verification requirements and transaction or balance limits. A recipient who has not completed the required verification, or whose wallet cannot accept the payment under its current limits, may need to resolve that issue before receiving funds. Check the applicable requirements with the current wallet provider rather than relying on older SureCash limit tables.
For RupaliCash, Rupali Bank says registration is available to eligible Bangladeshi citizens aged 18 or over with a valid National ID and a registered SIM from an operator named in its FAQ. Registration can be completed through app-based e-KYC, an authorized agent or a Rupali Bank branch; a Rupali Bank deposit account is not required. One RupaliCash account is allowed per mobile number. These are account-opening conditions, not a promise that any particular RupaliCash account can receive an international remittance. The recipient should confirm their own verification status and receiving eligibility with RupaliCash.
Troubleshooting a SureCash or RupaliCash payout
Wrong number or account ID
If you have not confirmed the transfer, correct the identifier after checking it directly with the recipient. If you have already confirmed it, use Coinepay’s transfer tracking and contact support promptly with the reference. Do not assume a mistaken wallet payment can be reversed. RupaliCash advises customers making a mistaken domestic transfer to contact the unintended recipient promptly, but that advice does not guarantee recovery of a cross-border payout.
Name mismatch
Ask the recipient for their full registered name and compare it with what you entered, including spelling. If the transfer is already in progress, contact Coinepay support for the appropriate next step. Do not change the name to someone else’s merely to pass a check.
Wallet limit reached or account not verified
Ask the recipient to check their current account status, receiving capacity and any verification steps with their wallet provider. Wait until the provider confirms the account can receive the payment. Do not break the transfer into smaller payments to work around a limit.
Compliance review or unexpected delay
Check the status in Coinepay and respond to any legitimate request for information about the payment or source of funds. If the status is unclear, contact support with the transfer reference. The estimated arrival time appears before confirmation; an estimate is not a delivery guarantee.
The payout method is missing or uses a different name
Stop before confirming. Ask the recipient to identify their active wallet, then contact Coinepay support about the methods displayed for Bangladesh. Do not choose old SureCash instructions as a substitute for a current RupaliCash payout option.

FAQ
Can I send directly to a Rupali Bank SureCash account?
Rupali Bank says it replaced Rupali Bank SureCash with RupaliCash. Check the recipient’s active wallet and the exact payout methods displayed in Coinepay; contact support if they do not match.
What recipient details do I need?
Get the recipient’s full name exactly as registered and the registered phone number or account ID requested by the current payout form. Confirm their active wallet provider before sending.
Can I use an old 12-digit SureCash account number?
Do not assume so. That format appears in older domestic SureCash instructions. Enter an account ID only if Coinepay’s current payout form requests it and the recipient confirms it belongs to their active account.
What if Coinepay shows the transfer as delivered but the recipient sees no money?
Ask the recipient to check their current wallet balance and statement. Compare the wallet and identifier on the transfer, then contact Coinepay support with the transfer reference.
What if the recipient’s wallet is unverified or has reached a limit?
The recipient should ask their wallet provider about verification and receiving eligibility. Do not split the payment to bypass a limit or check.
