SadaPay is a mobile wallet used in Pakistan, where balances are held in Pakistani rupees (PKR). If you are abroad and want to put money into a friend's, family member's or contractor's SadaPay wallet, you can send a cross-border transfer with Coinepay Global Remittance and have it paid out to their account. This guide explains what you need from the recipient, how to set up the transfer, and what to do if something goes wrong.
Before you start
Coinepay supports cross-border transfers to Pakistan with mobile wallet, bank deposit and cash pickup payout options. To send to SadaPay you will need:
- A Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed. Register at the Coinepay sign-up page and install the app from the App Store or Google Play.
- The recipient's registered SadaPay phone number or account ID, exactly as it appears in their SadaPay app.
- The recipient's full name exactly as registered with SadaPay. The name and number must match the wallet record, or the payout can be rejected.
SadaPay's own terms warn that money sent on incorrect instructions generally cannot be claimed back, although they will try to help recover it. So confirm the number and the spelling of the name with your recipient before you send anything.
A phone number alone is not always enough. Ask the recipient to open SadaPay and read out the exact name on the account and the number the wallet is registered to, rather than guessing from a contact saved in your phone.
What the recipient should check on their side
SadaPay now treats biometric verification (BVS) as mandatory under Pakistani regulatory requirements. According to SadaPay's help centre, completing BVS raises the account's incoming limit to PKR 400,000 per month. A wallet that is new or not fully verified may have a lower incoming ceiling, so a large deposit could be held or declined. Ask your recipient to confirm their wallet is active and verified before you send, and to check in their app for any limit that applies to their account, since SadaPay says these can change.
Because the recipient's wallet must be able to accept the amount, it helps to send within what their wallet can receive this month rather than sending more than the account is allowed to take in.
Step by step: send to a SadaPay wallet with Coinepay
- Open Coinepay and start a new transfer. In the app or the 24/7 dashboard, choose to send money internationally.
- Select Pakistan as the destination and choose the mobile wallet payout method. Pick SadaPay as the receiving wallet. The recipient receives funds in PKR.
- Enter the recipient's details. Add their registered SadaPay phone number or account ID and their full name exactly as registered. Double-check every digit and the name spelling.
- Enter the amount. You can usually type the amount you want to send or the amount you want the recipient to receive. Coinepay shows the other side of the calculation.
- Review the exchange rate and fees. Before you confirm, Coinepay displays the rate, the fees and the estimated arrival time for this payout. Read these carefully—the figures on this screen are what will apply.
- Confirm the transfer. Once you approve, the payout is sent for processing. You may be asked to provide the purpose of the transfer or your source of funds as part of compliance checks.
- Track the status. Every Coinepay transfer has status tracking. Follow it in the app from submitted through to paid out, and share the reference with your recipient.
How fast does it arrive?
Coinepay transfers can arrive in as little as 10 minutes, but the actual time depends on the payout method and the destination country. Wallet payouts in Pakistan can also be affected by the receiving provider: SadaPay itself notes that transfers to some wallets may be delayed. Treat the estimated arrival time shown in the Coinepay app before you confirm as your guide, and allow extra time around weekends and local bank holidays.
How the recipient sees the money arrive
When the payout completes, the amount appears in the recipient's SadaPay balance in PKR, and SadaPay typically sends an in-app and push notification showing the credit. The recipient can then spend from the wallet, send to banks or wallets within Pakistan, or withdraw according to SadaPay's own rules. Ask them to confirm the exact amount received so you can match it against your Coinepay receipt.
Troubleshooting
Wrong phone number or account ID
If you notice a mistake before confirming, go back and correct it. If you have already confirmed, contact Coinepay support immediately with the transfer reference. Funds sent to the wrong details may not be recoverable, so acting quickly gives the best chance of a trace or return.
Name mismatch
Wallet payouts can be rejected when the name does not match the one registered to the SadaPay number. Ask the recipient to read their registered name exactly as shown in the app, re-enter it in Coinepay and try again. Do not substitute a nickname or a shortened spelling.
Wallet limit reached
If the recipient's wallet has hit its incoming limit for the period, the payout can be held or returned. Ask them to check their incoming limit in SadaPay. You may need to wait until their limit resets or send an amount their wallet can accept.
Unverified wallet
An account that has not completed SadaPay's mandatory biometric verification (BVS) may face a lower incoming ceiling or restrictions. The recipient should complete BVS in the SadaPay app before you send a larger amount.
Compliance review
Cross-border transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may pause a transfer to confirm the purpose or source of funds, or to request supporting documents. Respond promptly with accurate information to clear the review. Use your real identity and the recipient's real details; never split a transfer or route it through a third party to avoid checks.
Money not received after the estimated time
First check the status in Coinepay. If it shows as paid out but the recipient does not see it, have them refresh the SadaPay app and check their transaction history. If it still has not landed, contact Coinepay support with the reference number, amount, date, recipient name and SadaPay number so the payout can be traced.
A note on sanctions and eligibility
Coinepay sends to every country and region except those under comprehensive sanctions, and screens all customers and counterparties against sanctions lists. Pakistan is a supported destination. Some services are not available in every jurisdiction, and virtual-asset-related services are not available to residents of mainland China. If you are unsure whether you can send from where you live, check the Coinepay app or ask support.
