You can create a Salla store on its free Basic plan, then choose a paid plan when you need its additional features. This guide explains how to prepare a Coinepay virtual card, find Salla’s plan checkout, and check what went wrong if a card payment does not complete. Card acceptance depends on Salla’s checkout and payment checks, so review the options shown for your store before relying on the card.
What you need before paying Salla
- A Salla store in an eligible market. Salla’s public pricing selector lists Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Choose your real registration country and use accurate business and billing information. If your business is elsewhere, check Salla’s current sign-up requirements before purchasing.
- A plan and payment term. Salla’s standard store plans are Salla Basic, Salla Plus and Salla Pro. Salla Special is custom-priced for larger businesses. Basic is free; check Salla’s official pricing page and the amount at checkout for your country, chosen term and any applicable taxes.
- An active Coinepay account. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Your card number, expiry date and CVV are available after card issuance in the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
- Enough available funds. Check the final checkout amount and your available balance before confirming. If you need to know which funding options, currencies or limits apply to your account, check the Coinepay app or contact Coinepay support.
At the time of writing (October 2026), Salla’s Saudi pricing page listed Salla Plus at SAR 990/year and Salla Pro at SAR 2,990/year; its UAE page listed Plus at AED 990/year and Pro at AED 2,990/year. Prices and available terms can change, so use Salla’s official pricing page and your checkout total as the current reference. Do not assume a free trial applies to a new store: Salla’s terms say new-store free trials stopped on August 16, 2026, even though some Salla pages still advertise trials.
Step 1: Create your Salla store
- Go to Salla’s official site and start the merchant registration flow. Enter your real name, email address, mobile number and a password.
- Verify your mobile number using the code Salla sends. Answer the business-setup questions. The UAE registration flow also asks you to select your registration country.
- Select a store plan to complete setup. You can start on Salla Basic if it meets your needs, then review the paid plans from your dashboard.
Make sure the country and business details you provide match your actual circumstances. A virtual card does not change Salla’s regional eligibility or verification requirements. If Salla asks for additional store or business information, complete that process through Salla rather than changing your details to try to make a payment pass.
Step 2: Prepare your Coinepay virtual card
Sign in to the Coinepay dashboard or use the Coinepay mobile app on iOS or Android. After registration and identity verification, follow the available card-issuance steps in your account. Coinepay provides an instant card number, expiry date and CVV. Keep those details private and enter them only in the payment form you intend to use.
Before opening Salla checkout, check your available balance against the full amount displayed for the plan and term you intend to buy. If you plan to leave automatic renewal on, remember that a successful first payment does not ensure funds will be available for a later charge. Review your balance and billing method again before each renewal date.
Step 3: Choose a Salla plan and pay
- In your Salla dashboard, open Store plan & subscriptions. Review Salla Basic, Salla Plus and Salla Pro, and choose the plan and term that fit your store. For Salla Special, request the quoted price rather than expecting a fixed public checkout price.
- Select Proceed to Payment. Check the store, term and final amount on the payment screen.
- Choose the card payment option if it is offered for your checkout. Enter the Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV. Use your genuine billing details wherever Salla requests them.
- If you have a valid Salla coupon, enter it in the coupon field and verify the updated total. Select Confirm Payment and complete any verification prompt that appears.
- Return to Store plan & subscriptions to check the Store Plan and Invoices tabs. Keep the invoice for your records.
Salla also documents Store Wallet balance and bank-transfer payment or renewal requests. Those are separate from paying by card; a bank-transfer request may require receipt review before activation. If the card option is unavailable or your payment fails, do not assume that a payment method shown to shoppers in Salla-powered stores is also accepted for Salla’s own subscription bill.
Manage the saved card and automatic renewal
Salla’s billing controls are under All → Settings & Tools → Payment Methods → Wallet & Invoices → Billing Settings. There you can review the saved card, default and backup renewal methods, payout account and invoice details. The payout account is not the card used to pay your plan invoice. Check the default method after adding or changing a card: Salla says automatic renewal is enabled by default and charges that method at renewal.
For subscription history, open Store plan & subscriptions and look at the Store Plan, Additional Subscriptions and Invoices tabs. If you do not want another renewal, Salla documents Store plan & subscriptions → subscription management → Cancel Subscription. Its wallet instructions also describe Active Subscriptions → ⋯ → Disable Auto-Renewal. Confirm the resulting status in your dashboard; paid-plan features remain available until the paid term expires.
If you are considering cancellation because of an unexpected charge, check Salla’s terms before requesting a refund. They permit an eligibility review for a request made within seven days of the first subscription charge, only for an account’s first store and first Salla subscription. That is not a general refund policy for renewals, and closing a store does not itself qualify an active subscription for a refund.
Troubleshoot a declined Salla card payment
If checkout does not complete, avoid repeated attempts until you have checked the likely cause. Record the time, amount and any message shown, then check whether Salla created an invoice or activated the plan. Salla documents a “Payment Failed” status with an explanatory note in its electronic transaction log, but that customer-transaction log is not a confirmed list of messages for subscription checkout.
- Insufficient balance: Compare the available card balance with Salla’s final checkout total, not just the advertised plan price. Check the Coinepay app for the balance and any account-specific funding requirements before trying again.
- Billing-details mismatch: Recheck the card number, expiry and CVV for typing errors. If checkout asks for a billing address or name, enter your real details consistently with your account and business records. Do not substitute an address from another country to try to pass a check.
- 3-D Secure or another verification step: If checkout presents an authentication challenge, follow the on-screen instructions and allow it to finish before closing the page. If it fails, check the Coinepay app for any relevant prompt or notice, then contact support for help with the attempted charge. Do not assume every Salla card payment uses the same verification flow.
- Merchant or region checks: Confirm that you selected the correct Salla market and registration country. Salla may apply payment or eligibility checks; a Coinepay card cannot override them. Ask Salla which payment methods are available for your particular subscription checkout, and contact Coinepay support if you need help checking the card side of a decline.
If your Coinepay account shows a charge but Salla does not show an active plan, collect the payment time, amount and Salla invoice or order reference before contacting both support teams. Do not send your full card number or CVV in a support message.
Keep plan billing separate from customer checkout
Paying Salla for your store plan is different from enabling ways for customers to pay at your store. For example, Salla says Saudi stores on Basic can offer customer bank transfer and cash on delivery, while electronic customer payments require a paid plan. Its customer-payment instructions discuss options such as mada, Visa and Mastercard in Saudi Arabia, and Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay under Salla Payments in the UAE, subject to setup and eligibility. Those lists do not establish which cards Salla accepts for its own plan checkout.
Salla merchants can also configure customer-payment restrictions that reject a payment, hold an order for review or hide a method. If you are troubleshooting a shopper’s order rather than your subscription invoice, check your store’s payment settings and the relevant transaction record. If the problem is the plan payment, focus instead on Store plan & subscriptions, Billing Settings and the method offered at plan checkout.
