Dropbox Sign offers eSignature plans for individuals and teams. If you want to pay for a subscription with a Coinepay virtual card, start by choosing the right Sign plan, then check the billing details and total at checkout. This guide covers Dropbox Sign eSignature subscriptions, not Dropbox storage or Dropbox Sign API plans.

What you need before subscribing

  • A Dropbox Sign account. You can create one with an email address, Google account or Dropbox account. If you sign up with an email address, complete the email verification step.
  • A Coinepay virtual card. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Once issued, your virtual card has a card number, expiry date and CVV. Check its available balance in the Coinepay app or dashboard before paying.
  • Your real billing details. Enter your actual name and billing address consistently. Dropbox Sign may calculate tax from the account’s billing address and show it separately on an invoice or receipt.
  • A plan and billing cycle. Check the current Dropbox Sign plans page and review the final checkout total, including any applicable tax, before agreeing to purchase.

Dropbox Sign says it accepts debit and credit cards on Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Discover and Diners Club. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets Dropbox Sign’s debit-or-credit-card and network requirements before you buy. A virtual card is not, by itself, a promise that a merchant will accept a particular payment.

Choose a Dropbox Sign plan

A free Dropbox Sign account lets you sign or request signatures on three documents per month. For a paid eSignature subscription, the listed tiers are Essentials for an individual, Standard for a small team and Premium for a larger team. Premium requires contacting Dropbox Sign sales for a quote. Standard and Premium checkout asks for the number of licenses, so review that quantity as well as the billing cycle before placing an order.

Prices vary by region and can change. Check Dropbox Sign’s official pricing page for the plan and terms available to you, then rely on the amount displayed at your checkout rather than a price shown for another location. Do not confuse a Dropbox Sign eSignature plan with a Dropbox storage subscription or an API plan; their purchasing and billing arrangements may differ.

How to pay for Dropbox Sign with your Coinepay card

  1. Set up your card. After registering and completing Coinepay identity verification, open the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app. Find your virtual card details and check that the available balance is sufficient for the checkout total, including any tax that applies. For questions about funding services, check the app or contact support.
  2. Open Dropbox Sign’s plans page. Choose the eSignature tier you want and select Purchase now or Start free trial, if that option is offered for your selection. Follow the prompt to log in or create an account. If you only want to evaluate the free account first, go to app.sign.dropbox.com, sign up and verify your email.
  3. Review the order. At paid-plan checkout, select monthly or annual billing. For Standard or Premium, review the license count. A trial also follows checkout steps; its billing cycle begins when the trial ends, so note the trial end date and the terms shown before proceeding.
  4. Enter genuine billing information. Use your real name and billing address, and copy the card number, expiry date and CVV from your Coinepay card carefully. Do not change your address or location to try to bypass a regional rule or payment check.
  5. Confirm deliberately. Read the displayed plan, billing cycle, license quantity, tax and total. Agree to the Dropbox Sign terms if you accept them, then select Purchase to submit a paid order. If you selected a trial, complete the on-screen trial checkout and keep a record of when billing is due to begin.
  6. Check the result. Confirm the subscription or trial status in Dropbox Sign rather than assuming a submitted form means payment succeeded. To find Sign invoices after a charge, open Settings → Billing → Receipts and Invoices.

If checkout offers a different payment method, do not assume it works with a Coinepay virtual card. This guide addresses card payment only.

What to do if your card is declined

A decline does not necessarily identify its cause. Review any message shown by Dropbox Sign and check whether Coinepay shows a corresponding card transaction before retrying. Dropbox’s general card guidance cites incorrect card numbers or billing addresses, expired cards used for renewal, and card-provider processing errors as possible causes; it does not provide a Sign-specific list of decline codes.

Insufficient available balance

Compare the available card balance with the full amount shown at checkout, not just a plan’s advertised monthly figure. Annual billing, multiple licenses and applicable tax can change what is due. If the balance is too low, review funding options in the Coinepay app or ask support for help, then retry only after confirming funds are available. Do not repeatedly submit the same payment without checking its status.

Billing address or card-detail mismatch

Re-enter the card number, expiry date and CVV directly from your current card details. Check that your billing name and address are accurate and consistently formatted. If a renewal is failing, also check whether the card details saved in Dropbox Sign are out of date. To replace a saved Sign card, log in, open the email-address menu → My Settings → Billing, then choose Update beside billing information. Only a team admin can change team billing information.

Authentication or 3-D Secure prompt

If checkout presents an authentication step, follow the instructions shown and allow it to finish before trying again. A closed, timed-out or unsuccessful verification can prevent a payment from completing. If you cannot complete a 3-D Secure prompt or are unsure whether your card can satisfy it, contact Coinepay support with the time of the attempt and the message displayed. Do not share your CVV or any one-time verification code in a support message.

Merchant region or card-eligibility checks

Dropbox Sign’s terms restrict access or use that would violate applicable US export embargoes, prohibitions or restrictions. Its published card-payment guidance also specifies debit or credit cards on the listed networks. If Sign reports that your card or location is ineligible, use your real account and billing details and ask Dropbox Sign about the merchant restriction. Contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets the stated card requirements; neither provider can be assumed to override a merchant or legal restriction.

If the charge still fails, record the exact error text, the attempted amount and time, and whether this was a first purchase or a renewal. Share that information with the relevant support team without sending your full card number, CVV or verification codes. For a failed Sign renewal, Dropbox says it retries payment for three days, then provides a 14-day grace period while retries continue; access becomes limited after the resulting 17 days. Update the billing details promptly rather than waiting for the end of that period.

Manage or cancel the subscription

Review charges and download documents under Settings → Billing → Receipts and Invoices. To cancel a Dropbox Sign subscription or trial online, go to Settings → Billing → Cancel plan and complete the cancellation steps. Cancellation leaves paid access in place until the current billing term ends, after which the account downgrades to free. Cancelling a trial before its 30 days end avoids the subscription charge.

Check the cancellation confirmation and any upcoming billing date. Dropbox Sign’s terms say subscription and associated fees are generally non-refundable and non-creditable, except where law requires otherwise. If a payment or cancellation appears incorrect, contact Dropbox Sign about the account and Coinepay support about the card transaction.
