LastPass Families gives up to six people separate Premium accounts, plus shared folders and a family manager dashboard. If you want to pay for a subscription bought directly from LastPass with a Coinepay virtual card, prepare your account and billing details first, then review the annual charge at checkout. Card acceptance depends on LastPass and its payment checks, so a successful payment cannot be assumed.
What you need before you start
- A Coinepay account with identity verification completed. You must register and complete KYC before using Coinepay card services. Once your virtual card is issued, its card number, expiry date and CVV are available instantly in Coinepay.
- Enough available funds for the checkout total. LastPass Families is sold as an annual subscription. Review the amount and any applicable taxes shown at checkout rather than relying on a monthly-equivalent price displayed on a pricing page. Check the Coinepay app for your available balance and any card-specific details you need.
- Your real account and billing information. Use your own identity and enter the billing details associated with your payment method accurately. Do not use an invented address or change your stated location to get around a regional payment check.
- Access to your email and payment verification prompts. You may need to confirm account registration or respond to a card-authentication request during checkout. Keep the Coinepay app or dashboard available while you pay.
Check the LastPass pricing page for the offer in your region before subscribing. Its personal plans include LastPass Free, LastPass Premium, LastPass Families and LastPass Plus. Families is its own plan, not a Premium add-on; Plus is an individual plan, not a Families tier. Prices can vary by region, and applicable taxes are added at checkout. LastPass says its direct checkout accepts major credit and debit/bank cards, but that does not establish whether it will accept a particular virtual card.
How to subscribe to LastPass Families
- Get your Coinepay card ready. Register with Coinepay if you have not already, complete identity verification, and open your issued virtual card in the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard. Check the displayed card details and available funds. If you need to confirm a card requirement or troubleshoot an account issue, contact Coinepay support.
- Choose Families on the LastPass pricing page. Visit the official LastPass pricing page by name and select LastPass Families, not Premium, Plus or a business plan. The Families offer has both Try for free and Subscribe now options.
- Decide whether to start with the trial. LastPass lists a 30-day personal-plan trial that does not require a credit card to begin. If you choose Try for free, follow the account-creation prompts using your real details. You can decide whether to buy the paid annual subscription afterward or continue on LastPass Free without the paid features. If you want to purchase now, choose Subscribe now and follow the sign-in or sign-up prompts.
- Review the order before entering your card. Confirm that the selected product is Families, inspect the annual amount and applicable taxes, and read any renewal information presented. If the displayed region, price or account is not yours, stop and resolve that issue rather than trying different billing identities.
- Enter and verify your payment details. At the direct LastPass card checkout, enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, along with your accurate billing details. If an authentication prompt appears, complete it through the available verification flow. Do not repeatedly submit the same payment while a verification request is pending.
- Confirm the result. Look for a LastPass purchase confirmation and check that Families is active on the intended account. Save the receipt. For a direct LastPass subscription, the receipt can be found through My Account → Payment History → View Receipt → Full Receipt.
If you previously subscribed through a mobile app store, check which provider bills your existing subscription before starting another purchase on LastPass’s website. App-store purchases may use a different payment-management route, and an existing app-store subscription can create an account-level purchase conflict.
What to do if LastPass declines the payment
A failed checkout does not always mean the card issuer declined the transaction. LastPass buyers have reported messages such as “We cannot process your payment” and “We’re unable to process your purchase at this time.” Use the steps below to narrow down the cause; avoid assuming that an error message identifies it.
Check the balance and billing amount
Compare the available funds shown in Coinepay with the full annual total at LastPass checkout, including any applicable taxes. A monthly-equivalent figure is not the amount charged for an annual purchase. If funds are insufficient, address the shortfall before making another attempt. Check the Coinepay app or contact support if you cannot tell why the available amount differs from what you expected.
Check your billing details
Re-enter the card number, expiry date and CVV carefully, and check the name, address and other billing fields for typing mistakes. Use your real billing information. A mismatch may interrupt a payment, but changing your address to another country is not an appropriate fix. If the details are correct and the checkout still fails, ask Coinepay support whether it can identify a card-side issue and ask LastPass support whether its checkout can identify a merchant-side issue.
Complete any authentication request
If checkout calls for 3-D Secure or another card verification step, follow the prompt and wait for its result. A timed-out, cancelled or unavailable challenge can prevent completion even when the card details are correct. Check your Coinepay app or dashboard for relevant instructions; if you cannot complete the challenge, contact Coinepay support. Do not assume every LastPass transaction will display the same verification flow.
Check region and account restrictions
LastPass may apply regional payment checks and its own terms of service. Check that you are using the correct country and truthful billing details, and ask LastPass support about any restriction affecting your purchase. Its terms prohibit use from certain sanctioned or significantly trade-restricted locations. Coinepay also does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. A virtual card does not bypass either service’s eligibility rules.
If the message is “You cannot purchase this product with your account,” investigate the LastPass account and any former app-store subscription rather than treating it as proof of a card decline. LastPass support has associated that message with account or app-store purchase conflicts. For other unexplained failures, you can try a fresh browser session after checking your details; LastPass support has also suggested clearing browser cache or cookies in response to a reported Families checkout error. If the problem persists, provide support with the exact message and the time of the attempt, but never send your full card number or CVV in a support message.
Manage your card, renewal and receipts
For a Families subscription purchased directly from LastPass, the family owner can change its stored card under Vault → Account settings → Account Information → My Account → Update Payment Method. If Update Payment Method is missing, LastPass says auto-renewal is not enabled. Safari users who cannot see My Account can try another browser or ask LastPass support for help navigating to that page. A subscription bought through an app store should be managed through the billing route for that purchase instead.
LastPass personal subscriptions are generally charged in advance for a year and renew automatically by default. Its terms call for cancellation at least 30 days before the term ends. Premium and Families users can turn off renewal through Account settings → My Account → Cancel, or give non-renewal notice to LastPass support. Simply stopping use or closing an account does not erase charges for the current term.
Review the applicable terms before you buy: LastPass states that payments are final and non-refundable. You may ask LastPass support about a recent renewal, but a refund is not assured. Keep your receipt and renewal date so you can manage the subscription before the next billing period.
