Want to watch Viu’s Asian dramas and anime without relying on a physical card? A Coinepay virtual card gives you a card number, expiry date and CVV to enter at a checkout that accepts it. Viu’s plans and payment routes differ by market, so first check what is offered in your territory. This guide covers choosing a plan, completing checkout and handling a declined payment.

What you need before subscribing

  • A Viu account and an available plan. Open Viu in your territory and sign in or register. Check the subscription screen for the plans, prices and payment methods offered to you.
  • A Coinepay account. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. You can manage your card in the Coinepay app or 24/7 self-service dashboard.
  • Your virtual card details and sufficient funds. Retrieve the card number, expiry date and CVV in Coinepay. Check that available funds cover the amount shown at checkout and any applicable charges shown by your payment provider.
  • Your real billing details. Enter your own name and billing information accurately. Use Viu only where your subscription and its content are available under Viu’s territorial rules; a different billing address or payment route does not change those rules.

Before proceeding, identify who will bill you. A purchase on Viu’s own checkout, an Apple or Google Play in-app purchase, and a partner offer can have different prices, payment options and cancellation paths. Seeing a card-entry form on one route does not mean every Viu checkout accepts the same card.

Choose the right Viu plan and checkout

Viu offers an ad-supported Viu Free Service alongside paid options. Its general terms refer to Viu Premium Lite and Viu Premium+, but that does not mean both are sold in your market. In Indonesia, Viu combined its former Premium and Premium Plus offerings into one plan called Premium for new subscriptions from May 28, 2025.

As one market-specific example, Viu’s published Indonesian Premium price was IDR 40,000 for a new subscriber’s first month and IDR 55,000 for subsequent monthly billing at the time of writing (October 2026), excluding data charges. Check Viu’s official pricing page and your checkout for the current amount before paying. Do not use that Indonesian price to estimate a subscription elsewhere.

App-store listings can show different durations and prices from a direct checkout. For example, the Philippine Apple listing includes weekly, monthly, three-month, six-month and 12-month Viu Premium subscriptions. Those are Apple in-app products, not a price list for Viu’s web checkout. Likewise, a bundle or partner promotion is not necessarily the price of standalone Viu Premium. Choose the seller and duration you actually intend to use, and read the renewal terms displayed for that purchase.

How to pay for Viu Premium with your Coinepay card

  1. Set up your card. After completing Coinepay registration and identity verification, open the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app to view your virtual card details. Check your available funds before starting checkout.
  2. Open Viu in your territory. Use Viu’s site or app, then register or sign in with your real account information. Find the subscription or upgrade area and review the plans currently offered. The wording of buttons may change by market and app version.
  3. Select your plan and duration. Confirm whether you are buying standalone Premium, another paid tier, a bundle or a partner offer. Read the displayed price, billing interval and any introductory-price terms. In Indonesia, for example, the published first-month Premium price differs from the subsequent monthly price.
  4. Choose a card-accepting payment route. If your checkout offers card payment, select it and enter the Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV. Use your accurate billing details. Viu also documents Apple, Google Play, partner-voucher and carrier-billing routes in some markets; card entry is not available on every route. If the purchase is billed through Apple or Google Play, follow that platform’s payment setup and on-screen instructions instead of assuming Viu will ask for card details directly.
  5. Review and authorize. Check the total, renewal terms, seller and billing details before confirming. Complete any payment authentication requested during checkout. Wait for a purchase confirmation, then check whether the paid service appears on the Viu account you used. Avoid repeatedly submitting the payment if its status is unclear.

Viu’s published instructions for an Indonesian app subscription describe signing in, choosing a subscription duration and payment method, reviewing the details and confirming the purchase. Its Thai HBO Max x Viu Premium Bundle instructions describe signing in after selecting an upgrade, choosing a payment channel, entering card details and purchasing. These illustrate why you should follow the checkout for your specific product rather than expect identical buttons everywhere.

If your Viu card payment is declined

A decline does not, by itself, identify the cause. Check the following before trying again:

  • Insufficient available funds: Compare the available card balance with the full amount displayed at checkout, especially if an introductory price changes at renewal. Check for other pending card activity in Coinepay. If you need help understanding the card transaction, contact Coinepay support.
  • Billing address mismatch: Recheck the name and billing details entered at checkout against your real details. Correct typing errors; do not invent an address or substitute an address from another region to try to pass a payment check.
  • Authentication or 3-D Secure issue: If checkout asks you to approve a card payment, complete the prompt without closing it or letting it expire. If authentication fails or no expected prompt arrives, check the transaction status in Coinepay and ask support for help. Do not assume every Viu payment uses the same authentication flow.
  • Merchant region or offer checks: Verify that you selected a plan available in your territory and that your account, billing details and chosen offer meet its stated terms. Viu’s terms restrict use of a paid service to the territory where it was subscribed to, and its content varies by region. If an offer has a card restriction, use an eligible payment method rather than trying to work around the restriction.
  • A promotion with specific eligible cards: The Singapore DBS web promotion, for example, specifies DBS/POSB credit and debit cards. Do not assume a Coinepay card qualifies for that promotional price. Contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets an offer’s card requirements before you buy, and check the offer’s own terms.

If the payment still fails, note which checkout you used, the plan and duration, the amount, the time and any message displayed. First check whether a charge or subscription already exists. Then contact the seller handling that checkout for the purchase issue, and Coinepay support for help with the card transaction. Avoid sharing your full card number or CVV in a support message.

Where to manage or cancel the subscription

Keep the confirmation so you know who billed you. For an Apple-billed purchase, open iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. For a Google Play-billed purchase, go to Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Manage subscriptions. Viu directs customers buying its Thai HBO Max x Viu Premium Bundle to the subscription-settings menu of their Viu account for renewal management and cancellation, and advises cancelling before the next billing cycle.

For any other Viu or partner purchase, check its confirmation and the applicable subscription terms for the correct cancellation route and deadline. Do not assume deleting the app cancels billing. Refund rules also depend on the seller and offer: the Singapore DBS web promotion, for instance, states that unused or partial periods are not refunded. Check your own purchase terms before subscribing or requesting a refund.

Before you confirm

Make one final check of the territory, plan, duration, price after any introductory period, payment seller and renewal terms. A Coinepay virtual card supplies details you can use when an eligible checkout accepts the card; it does not override Viu’s payment checks or regional terms. If you are unsure about your card’s suitability for a particular offer, ask Coinepay support before paying.

FAQ

Can I enter my Coinepay virtual card directly on Viu?

If the checkout offered to you has a card-entry option, you can try its card number, expiry date and CVV. Payment routes vary by market and seller, and acceptance is not assured.

Why is my Viu Premium payment being declined?

Check available funds, accurate billing details, any authentication prompt and the plan’s regional or promotional requirements. Check for an existing charge before retrying, then contact the checkout seller or Coinepay support as appropriate.

Where do I cancel a Viu subscription bought through an app store?

For Apple billing, use iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. For Google Play billing, use Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Manage subscriptions.

Is Viu Premium the same plan in every country?

No. Names, durations, prices and checkout methods vary by market. Check Viu’s current plans and pricing for your territory before subscribing.
