Tencent Video VIP unlocks ad-light streaming and early access to Asian dramas, anime and variety shows. Outside mainland China the service is usually branded WeTV / Tencent Video, and its membership tier is simply called VIP. This guide shows how to pay for that VIP plan with a Coinepay virtual card, where the billing settings live, and what to try when a card is declined.

Before you start

A few things make checkout smoother:

  • A verified Coinepay account. Register at Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) before you try to pay. Card services require KYC, and card issuance is handled by Coinepay's licensed partner financial institutions.
  • A Coinepay virtual card. Create one in the Coinepay app or dashboard. You get the card number, expiry date and CVV instantly, which you'll need at checkout or when saving a card to your store account.
  • Enough balance on the card. Top up to cover the plan plus any currency conversion. Check your balance in the Coinepay app before you subscribe.
  • Your real billing details. Use the name and billing address tied to your Coinepay account. These must match what you enter at checkout.

Note: Coinepay's virtual-asset-related services are not available to residents of mainland China, and some services are not available in every jurisdiction. The mainland 腾讯视频 app and the international WeTV/Tencent Video app have different plan listings, prices and checkout methods, so follow the flow that matches the app you actually use.

Which plan and price?

Prices and plan names differ by country and by the billing channel (direct app, Apple App Store or Google Play), so always confirm the live offer on the official page before you pay. As a reference, at the time of writing (October 2026) the WeTV/Tencent Video listings showed:

Market (observed Oct 2026)VIP prices seen in the listing
United States$8.99 monthly, $24.99 quarterly, $85.99 yearly
Philippines₱129 monthly, ₱349 quarterly, ₱1,250 yearly
IndonesiaRp39,000 monthly, Rp109,000 quarterly, Rp369,000 yearly
MalaysiaRM13.90 monthly, RM35.90 quarterly, RM119.90 yearly
Thailand฿129 monthly, ฿339 quarterly

These are observed listing prices, not a single worldwide price or a guaranteed quote for your checkout. WeTV offers monthly, quarterly and annual VIP subscriptions, and its subscription notice also describes a one-time purchase that simply ends at expiry. Treat any "SVIP" or upgrade product with caution: availability of those tiers outside their home markets is not consistently confirmed, so only buy what the app shows you.

How to subscribe to WeTV / Tencent Video VIP

The in-app flow is the most direct route:

  1. Create or sign in to your account. Open the WeTV app and sign in. Your VIP belongs to the account you buy with, so remember which login you used.
  2. Open the membership area. Go to Account → My VIP / Join VIP.
  3. Select a plan. Choose monthly, quarterly or annual. Confirm the exact price shown for your region before continuing.
  4. Choose how to pay. If the app routes you through the App Store or Google Play, the charge goes to your Apple Account or Google Play payment method. If it offers a direct card entry at checkout, you can type in your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV.
  5. Enter card and billing details. Use your Coinepay card details and the billing address on your Coinepay profile.
  6. Confirm and verify. Approve any 3-D Secure or one-time passcode step, then complete the purchase. After the same account on another supported device, your VIP will be active.

If you are billed through Apple or Google

When the subscription is sold as an in-app purchase, the card isn't entered at the WeTV checkout at all — it's the payment method saved to your store account. To pay with your Coinepay card, add it as the funding source first:

  • Apple-billed: add or set your card under your Apple Account payment methods, then subscribe. Manage it later in iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
  • Google-billed: add your card in Google Play, then subscribe. Manage it in Google Play → Subscriptions → WeTV → Manage.

Store acceptance lists (for example the networks Google Play or Apple accept) are store-level lists, not proof that a specific card will clear at a WeTV direct checkout. If you're unsure whether your Coinepay card fits a given billing channel, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.

Troubleshooting: card declined

Decline wording varies by billing channel. Google, for example, documents messages such as "Unable to process payment: low card balance," "Unable to complete transaction: expired card," and "Correct this card info or try another card." Whatever the message, work through these causes:

  • Insufficient balance. The most common cause. Top up your Coinepay card so it covers the plan plus any conversion, then retry. Remember annual plans need a larger balance than monthly.
  • Billing address mismatch. The address on file must match what the checkout expects. Re-enter the billing details exactly as they appear on your Coinepay profile.
  • 3-D Secure / verification step not completed. If a confirmation prompt or one-time code appears, finish it. Keep the Coinepay app handy so you can approve the charge.
  • Expired or mistyped card details. Double-check the number, expiry and CVV. If the card has expired, issue a fresh virtual card in Coinepay.
  • Merchant or region checks. WeTV ties VIP activation to the country associated with your account, and a store's price/currency depends on the store region. If your store account region and your card don't line up, checkout can fail. Use your real account region rather than trying to work around a regional restriction.
  • Issuer or channel restriction. Some billing channels restrict certain card types. If a payment keeps failing cleanly after balance and details are confirmed, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the channel's requirement before you buy again.

Managing, renewing and cancelling

Recurring plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel or change the payment method in the store that bills you: Apple Account → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions → WeTV → Manage. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

On refunds, WeTV states that a successful renewal charge activates benefits immediately and is not refunded simply because you turned off auto-debit — your paid access runs to the end of the term and then billing stops. Apple and Google each have their own refund-request processes that may apply in some circumstances. Tencent's mainland user agreement separately states that an activated video membership cannot be transferred or refunded; that mainland agreement was last updated in August 2026 as a user-conduct change, not a confirmed price change.

Keeping your card topped up

Because VIP renews on a cycle, keep a little buffer on your Coinepay card so a renewal doesn't fail for low balance. You can check balance, review transactions and manage your virtual cards anytime from the 24/7 dashboard or the Coinepay iOS app or Android app. If a charge behaves unexpectedly, reach Coinepay support.

FAQ

Can I pay for Tencent Video VIP with a Coinepay virtual card?

Yes. Create and fund a virtual card in Coinepay, then use its number, expiry and CVV at the WeTV/Tencent Video checkout, or add it as the payment method on your Apple or Google account if the plan is billed in-app. Make sure your account is KYC-verified first.

Why was my card declined at checkout?

Common causes are insufficient balance, a billing address that doesn't match your Coinepay profile, an unfinished 3-D Secure step, mistyped card details, or a region mismatch between your store account and your card. Fix these and retry, or contact Coinepay support if it keeps failing.

How much does Tencent Video VIP cost?

Prices vary by country and billing channel. At the time of writing (October 2026) listings showed, for example, $8.99/month in the US and ₱129/month in the Philippines, but these are not a single worldwide price. Always confirm the live price on the official WeTV/Tencent Video page before paying.

How do I cancel or change my payment method?

If billed by Apple, use iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. If billed by Google, use Google Play → Subscriptions → WeTV → Manage. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

Will I get a refund if I cancel?

WeTV says a successful renewal charge is not refunded just because you turn off auto-debit; access continues to the end of the paid term. Apple and Google have separate refund-request processes that may apply in some cases.
