You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at MasterClass’s website checkout when buying a membership. This guide covers what to prepare, how the annual checkout works, and what to check if your payment is declined. A card payment remains subject to MasterClass’s checkout checks and your card’s eligibility.
What to know before you subscribe
MasterClass offers three website membership tiers: Standard, Plus, and Premium. They are annual memberships; MasterClass says it does not offer a monthly subscription. If a plan page displays a monthly equivalent, check the annual amount due at checkout rather than treating that figure as a monthly charge. Prices, taxes, and available offers can vary by location, so review MasterClass’s official pricing page and final checkout total before paying.
The tiers also differ in how you can watch. Standard allows one simultaneous device and does not include offline viewing. Plus allows two simultaneous devices and includes offline viewing; Premium allows six and includes offline viewing. Pick the tier that fits your viewing needs before entering payment details.
- A Coinepay account: Register and complete identity verification before using card services. Coinepay provides the virtual card number, expiry date, and CVV in its self-service dashboard and mobile app.
- Enough available funds: Plan for the full annual checkout amount, including any applicable tax, not just an advertised monthly equivalent. Check your available funds and any applicable card settings in Coinepay before submitting payment.
- Your real account and billing details: Use an email address you can access and enter your genuine billing name, address, and ZIP or postal code as requested. Billing information should match the details associated with your payment method.
- Time to review the renewal terms: A direct website membership renews annually unless you turn off auto-renewal before the next charge.
MasterClass lists Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, PayPal, and Apple Pay as payment options. That list does not establish that every virtual card or card issued in every region will pass checkout. Check the payment options shown for your purchase. If you need to confirm whether your particular Coinepay card is eligible, contact Coinepay support before buying.
How to pay for MasterClass on its website
- Set up your Coinepay card. After registration and identity verification, open your Coinepay dashboard or mobile app. Find your virtual card’s number, expiry date, and CVV, and check that the funds available can cover the annual total shown by MasterClass.
- Start at MasterClass. Go to MasterClass’s official website and choose a membership. Its website checkout follows Membership → Account → Payment. Select Standard, Plus, or Premium on the Membership step, then continue.
- Create your MasterClass account. At the Account step, enter your email address and create a password when prompted. Use an address you can access for purchase and renewal messages.
- Review the Payment step. Check the selected tier, annual charge, any taxes, and the renewal terms. Enter the Coinepay virtual card details in the card fields, along with your real billing details. Do not substitute an invented address to try to pass a payment check.
- Complete any requested verification. If the checkout or payment provider presents an authentication prompt, follow the instructions displayed for your card. Then submit the payment once and wait for the result before trying again.
- Check your membership. Keep the purchase confirmation. When signed in on the MasterClass website, you can find your current plan under Profile → Settings → Membership.
This flow is for a purchase billed directly through the MasterClass website. A purchase made through an app store is billed and managed through that store instead. In-app product names and prices may also differ from the current website tiers, so check which checkout you are using before confirming.
What to do if your card is declined
A decline does not, by itself, identify the cause. Avoid repeated submissions while a payment is still processing. Check the message on the MasterClass checkout, then work through the relevant checks below.
Insufficient available funds
MasterClass bills its website memberships annually. Compare your available funds with the full amount due now, including any tax shown at checkout. If your Coinepay account has card spending settings, check them in the dashboard or app. For questions about available funds or applicable limits, contact Coinepay support rather than assuming a displayed monthly equivalent is the amount being charged.
Card details or billing address do not match
MasterClass identifies incorrect card numbers, expiry dates, billing details, and ZIP codes as common payment-error causes. Re-enter the number, expiry date, and CVV from your Coinepay card carefully. Check that your billing name and address are your real details and that the ZIP or postal code is accurate. If you have recently changed an address, confirm which billing details apply to the card before retrying.
An authentication or 3-D Secure step is not completed
Some online payments require an additional cardholder-authentication step. If a verification window appears, complete it promptly and return to checkout. If the prompt fails, closes, or never arrives, do not assume that repeated attempts will resolve it. Check for instructions in the Coinepay app and contact Coinepay support with the time of the attempt and any on-screen message. Do not share your CVV, password, or verification code in a support message.
Merchant or regional payment checks
MasterClass may apply checkout checks that depend on the purchase location and payment details. An available payment-option list is not a promise that a specific card will be accepted. Use your actual location and billing information, and make sure the membership is offered to you under MasterClass’s terms and applicable law. If checkout rejects your card despite accurate details and sufficient funds, ask MasterClass support what its message means and contact Coinepay support to check the card-side decline. Neither service’s response should be replaced with a guessed diagnosis.
If a checkout page appears stuck, MasterClass suggests clearing browser data before retrying. Save a screenshot of the error for its support team, but cover card details and other sensitive information. If a charge appears in Coinepay even though MasterClass shows no membership, check your email and account first, then ask both support teams to investigate before making another purchase.
Manage renewal, payment details, and refunds
For a membership purchased directly on the MasterClass website, you can review your plan at Profile → Settings → Membership and edit a saved payment method at Profile → Settings → Payment. MasterClass says it emails a renewal reminder 30 days beforehand and charges the payment method on file unless auto-renewal is turned off. Keep enough funds available if you intend to renew, or cancel renewal before the charge if you do not.
To stop a direct website membership from renewing, sign in using a web browser and go to Profile → Settings → Membership → Cancel Membership → Cancel Now. MasterClass says access continues until the current term ends and sends a confirmation email. A subscription bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play must instead be cancelled through that store; direct PayPal billing changes must be made in PayPal.
MasterClass’s 30-day full-refund guarantee applies to an initial membership bought directly on its website, measured from the original transaction. It does not cover renewals, redeemed gifts, or MasterClass at Work accounts. Request an eligible direct-purchase refund through MasterClass account support; approved refunds typically take 5–10 business days to process. Third-party marketplaces apply their own refund policies, and mandatory rights under local law may still apply.
Coinepay card services require identity verification and may not be available in every jurisdiction. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions. If you are unsure whether a Coinepay service or a particular card setting is available to you, check the app or ask Coinepay support before starting checkout.
