Lark bundles chat, docs, meetings, calendar and an admin console into one workspace, and many teams move from the free plan to a paid one as they grow. If you manage billing for your organization, this guide walks through what you need, how the checkout works, and how to pay for Lark using a Coinepay virtual card. It also covers the most common reasons a card is declined at checkout and what to do about each one.

What you need before you start

  • Administrator access to Lark. Only the primary administrator or an administrator with Billing permission can create and pay for an order.
  • A Coinepay account with a verified identity. Register and complete KYC first, then open a virtual card. Coinepay issues the card number, expiry date and CVV instantly in the dashboard or app, so you can use it as soon as it is created. Create your Coinepay account if you do not have one.
  • Enough balance on the card. Lark lists prices excluding tax, and most paid plans are billed annually for the full seat count, so fund the card to cover the whole order plus any tax before you check out.
  • Your real billing details. Use the name, address and country that match your Coinepay account and your organization. Accurate billing information reduces the chance of a decline.

Lark plans and what they cost

Lark offers four workspace plans: Starter, Basic, Pro and Enterprise. Starter is activated automatically for a new organization and requires no card. Basic and Pro are self-service paid plans, while Enterprise is quote-based through Lark sales.

At the time of writing (October 2026), the US and Singapore pricing pages list Basic at $6 per user/month and Pro at $12 per user/month, both shown as billed annually and in USD excluding tax. The Japan site lists Pro at ¥1,420 per user/month, billed annually, excluding tax. Note that Basic is not offered in mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Japan or South Korea. Prices and availability vary by region and change over time, so confirm the current figure on Lark's official plans page before you buy.

Self-service purchasing depends on the country or region you entered when the organization was created. Lark says online transactions cover more than 100 countries and regions, but not every region, and the checkout may show USD, SGD or JPY depending on that country.

Step-by-step: paying for Lark with your Coinepay card

  1. Create or open your Coinepay virtual card. In the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app, create a card and note its number, expiry and CVV. Make sure the balance covers the full annual seat cost plus tax.
  2. Start the purchase in Lark. As an administrator, choose Buy now on Lark's pricing page, or go to the Admin Console and select Upgrade.
  3. Configure the order. Checkout asks you to set the subscription duration, start date and time zone, seat count, and invoice information. Decide between monthly automatic renewal or a fixed term; fixed-term orders may offer a single payment or installments. Remember that installments do not remove your obligation to pay for the full committed term.
  4. Review the order summary. Check the plan, seat count, currency and total before continuing, then select Create Order.
  5. Add your payment method. At online checkout Lark documents credit and debit cards and a PayPal option. Choose the card option and enter your Coinepay card number, expiry date, CVV and billing details exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account.
  6. Complete 3-D Secure if prompted. Approve any verification step in your Coinepay app, then confirm the payment.
  7. Assign the seats. After payment, the purchased seats must be assigned to members in the Admin Console so they can use the paid features.

Lark does not publish which specific card networks or card types its workspace checkout accepts. If you are unsure whether your card will be accepted, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before you buy.

Where to manage billing later

Your subscription controls, including seats and renewal, live in Admin Console → Billing → My Product. Order and invoice records are under Resource Management → Billing → My Order. Primary administrators and administrators with Billing permission can manage these orders.

Troubleshooting a declined card

Lark's help center lists several possible automatic-payment failure reasons, including issuer decline, an account anomaly, a security-risk flag, insufficient funds or exceeded credit limit, an unsupported payment method, too many attempts, an unknown error, or an expired transaction. Its advice is to change the payment method or contact your issuer, or to restart an expired payment. Here is how those map to common causes:

Insufficient funds

Because paid plans are typically charged for the full annual seat count at once, a card with just one month's worth of balance will be declined. Top up your Coinepay card to cover the entire order plus tax, then retry.

Billing address mismatch

If the billing name, address or country you entered does not match what is on file for your Coinepay card, the payment can fail. Re-enter the details exactly as they appear in your Coinepay account.

3-D Secure not completed

If a verification prompt appears and is not approved in time, the transaction may show as expired or declined. Keep the Coinepay app open during checkout, approve the request, and restart the payment if it expired.

Merchant region checks

Self-service purchasing depends on the country set when your organization was created, and the available currency depends on that country. If checkout blocks the purchase in your region, or if your plan is not offered there (for example Basic in Japan or South Korea), Lark advises asking its sales team about available plans.

Too many attempts or an unknown error

Repeated failed tries can trigger a temporary block. Wait a short while, confirm your card balance and details, and try again. If it still fails, check your card status in Coinepay or contact Coinepay support.

Cancellations and refunds

For a self-service monthly subscription, cancel via Admin Console → Billing → My Product → ··· → Cancel Renewal → Confirm. Lark's help article says to do this at least 24 hours before expiration, but its customer terms (last updated January 22, 2026) generally require cancellation at least 30 days before the next period, or another period shown or notified at checkout. Check the terms that apply to your specific order rather than assuming one cutoff.

Lark's general terms state that subscription payments are nonrefundable, including unused time, except where the terms or applicable law provide otherwise, and terminating the agreement typically requires at least 30 days' email notice with no prorated refund. Separate rules apply in some cases, such as the specified cancellation refunds for automatic-payment subscriptions in South Korea, and app-store purchases may follow different refund rules. Review the current Lark terms before you commit.

Get the Coinepay app

You can create cards, add funds and approve payments from the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app, available on iOS and Google Play. For help with your card, reach the team through support or Telegram. Note that some Coinepay services are not available in every jurisdiction, and virtual-asset-related services are not available to residents of mainland China.
