Infomaniak sells domains, hosting, email, storage and productivity services separately, so your checkout depends on what you order. This guide explains how to prepare a Coinepay virtual card, complete an Infomaniak purchase and investigate a declined payment without assuming that every Infomaniak product uses the same checkout rules.
What you need before ordering
- An Infomaniak product choice. Decide whether you need a domain, hosting, Mail Service, kDrive or a kSuite plan. Check the relevant page on Infomaniak’s official site for current features, prices, billing terms and availability.
- An Infomaniak account and Organization. For a paid order, new customers create an account and an Organization, then provide organization and billing details. Use your real identity and accurate billing information.
- A Coinepay account ready for card use. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. You can manage your account through the self-service dashboard or the iOS and Android apps.
- Card details and sufficient funds. Coinepay issues virtual cards with a card number, expiry date and CVV available instantly after issuance. Check your available balance and any applicable card settings in the Coinepay app before paying. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions.
Infomaniak lists several payment methods for ordinary orders, renewals and plan changes, including Visa, Mastercard, CB Carte Bleue, PayPal, Twint, IBAN transfer and prepaid-account balance. Options vary by product and situation. Check the card choices displayed at your checkout and contact Coinepay support if you need to confirm whether your card meets a stated requirement before you buy. Do not assume a card will be accepted merely because card payment appears as an option.
Choose the right Infomaniak product
Infomaniak does not have one subscription ladder covering all its services. For personal use, my kSuite is a free offer and my kSuite+ is a paid option. Business-suite choices include kSuite Pro: Free, kSuite Standard, kSuite Business and kSuite Enterprise. Standalone storage uses the kDrive Solo, kDrive Team and kDrive Pro names. Email options include Mail Service Starter, which includes one address with a paid domain, and Mail Service Premium.
If you are building a website, compare the Starter hosting solution, available with a domain purchase, with paid options such as Web Hosting, Web + Mail and Managed Cloud Server. A domain registration is its own purchase decision; check its term and renewal price alongside any hosting or mail you add. Prices, promotions, tax and the final billing currency can differ from a public product listing, so rely on Infomaniak’s official pricing page and your order summary rather than treating a displayed starting price as your final charge.
The free my kSuite offer follows a different registration path: it starts with an address choice and phone verification. Infomaniak restricts this free-offer registration to listed countries and requires a matching-country phone number. That restriction is not a stated blanket restriction on purchasing all its other services. If the free offer is unavailable where you live, do not change your location or phone details to bypass its rules; check the eligibility list and consider an available product instead.
How to pay at Infomaniak checkout
- Prepare your Coinepay card. Sign in to Coinepay and retrieve the virtual card number, expiry date and CVV. Confirm that the card has enough available funds for the complete order, including any tax or other charges shown at checkout. If you need to check a spending setting or card eligibility, use the app or ask Coinepay support.
- Start on the relevant Infomaniak product page. Select your domain, hosting package or named plan and choose Order. Review configuration choices such as the domain, service term, storage tier or number of users where applicable. Do not add a service you do not intend to purchase.
- Create or sign in to your Infomaniak account. If you are new, complete the account and Organization setup requested by the shop. Enter your actual organization and billing details. An existing customer should verify that the correct Organization is selected before proceeding.
- Review the order summary. Check the products, billing period, renewal terms, currency, tax and total. Infomaniak documents CHF and EUR billing according to the Organization’s registered country; do not assume that a CHF figure displayed on a public page will be your checkout total.
- Choose an available card option and enter your details. Where the checkout offers a compatible card payment option, enter the Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV. Supply accurate billing details consistent with your account and card records. Complete any authentication prompt that appears, then submit the payment once.
- Verify the result. Wait for Infomaniak’s confirmation rather than interpreting a spinning page or an attempted charge as a completed order. Check the product and invoice or order status in Manager at manager.infomaniak.com. Also review the card transaction in Coinepay. If the order remains outstanding, investigate its status before trying again to avoid an unintended duplicate purchase.
Manage a renewal or an outstanding order
Infomaniak manages billing in Manager. With the appropriate Organization rights, you can review payment profiles, products due for renewal, outstanding orders and invoice history. For an outstanding order, look for its ⋮ → Pay action and review the amount and available payment methods before submitting payment. If you cannot see the billing controls, confirm that you are in the intended Organization and have the necessary rights.
Automatic renewal is generally enabled when ordering or renewing with a supported card. Infomaniak says its first automatic debit attempt is 14 days before expiry. Check the product’s renewal settings and your card’s available funds ahead of that date. Manager’s payment and renewal controls allow automatic renewal to be disabled per product or across products. Disabling automatic renewal is not the same as cancelling the product.
Cancellation is product-specific in Manager. For most products, Infomaniak requires email confirmation; outstanding charges remain payable, and cancelling deletes backups. Review the consequences and preserve any data you need first. If you are considering a refund, check the policy for the specific service: Infomaniak’s first-order 30-day satisfaction guarantee names products including web hosting, Mail Service and kDrive, and requires both cancellation and a refund request within 30 days of activation. Domain names are nonrefundable, and early termination or a renewal not cancelled in time generally does not qualify for a prorated refund.
What to do if your card is declined
A failed checkout does not, by itself, identify the cause. Work through the checks below, then ask Infomaniak about the order status or Coinepay support about a card-side rejection. Share the time, amount and any message shown, but do not send your full card number or CVV in a support message.
- Insufficient available balance: Compare the checkout total with the balance shown in Coinepay, taking account of any tax and the checkout currency. If funds are insufficient, add funds using the options available to you in the app and retry only after confirming the first attempt did not complete.
- Billing-detail mismatch: Check your name, Organization details and billing address for typing errors. Use your real billing information; do not substitute an address in another country to get past a check.
- Authentication did not complete: If a 3-D Secure challenge appears, complete it as instructed and return to the checkout. A blank authentication window or failed challenge can interrupt a payment. Infomaniak documents those examples in its ticketing-specific card guide, not as universal messages for hosting, domains or kDrive. If the prompt fails, check your browser and ask Coinepay support whether the attempt reached the card issuer.
- Merchant or regional checks: Confirm that the product is available for your real location and that the card satisfies any requirements stated at checkout. The free my kSuite country and phone rules apply specifically to that offer. If Infomaniak rejects a card or a region, contact its support for the applicable rule and Coinepay support to confirm your card’s eligibility; do not try to bypass either check.
- Unclear error or pending order: A generic failure screen is not proof of a particular cause. Check Manager for an outstanding order and use ⋮ → Pay if appropriate. Infomaniak may offer another payment method for the product. If you choose IBAN transfer instead, use the bank details and reference shown with the current invoice in Manager: Infomaniak updated its CHF and EUR transfer details in October 2026, and CHF payments require the invoice’s QR reference.
Payment rules can differ for specialized products. For example, Infomaniak documents Public Cloud invoices as credit-card-only and a CHF/EUR 20 card pre-authorization when creating that product. Check its specific payment conditions before assuming that an alternative method available for hosting or mail will work there.
Before you finish
Keep your Infomaniak order confirmation and review its invoice and renewal settings in Manager. If the payment status in Infomaniak and the transaction shown in Coinepay do not agree, contact the relevant support team with the order reference and transaction details. Check the Coinepay app or support for card-specific questions, and use Infomaniak’s own order summary as the authority on the service, amount and terms you are agreeing to.
