You can try paying for Avast Premium Security on Avast’s website with a Coinepay virtual card. The key is to choose the right device option, check the amount and renewal terms at checkout, and use your real billing details. Card acceptance depends on the checkout and its payment checks, so review the options shown before placing your order.

What you need before you start

  • A Coinepay account with completed identity verification. Register and complete KYC before using card services. You can manage your account through the Coinepay dashboard or the Coinepay mobile app.
  • Your virtual card details. Coinepay issues a card number, expiry date and CVV instantly. Have them ready for Avast’s checkout, and keep them private.
  • Enough available funds. Check the final amount displayed at checkout rather than relying on an advertised first-year price. Allow for any applicable tax or currency conversion reflected in the amount you will pay, and consider the later renewal amount separately.
  • Your real contact and billing information. Use an email address you can access and enter billing details accurately. Do not substitute an address from another country to try to pass a payment check.

If you have not registered, create a Coinepay account first. Availability of Coinepay services varies by jurisdiction; check your account or contact Coinepay support if you need to confirm a card-service requirement.

Choose the Avast Premium Security option you need

Avast lists Single-Device and Multi-Device options for Premium Security. Its current advertised Single-Device 1+1 offer covers one Windows PC or Mac plus one mobile device. Multi-Device covers up to 10 devices across Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. Check the entitlement displayed for your particular offer before paying: older Avast material and existing subscriptions may describe device coverage differently.

Avast Free Antivirus and Avast Ultimate are separate offerings, not tiers of Premium Security. Make sure the order summary names Avast Premium Security and shows the device coverage you intended to buy. Avast currently presents Premium Security in the Avast One app, so the installer or account screens may use the Avast One name.

Prices and promotions vary by region and can differ between Avast pages. Check Avast’s official Premium Security pricing page and, most importantly, the checkout total and renewal terms for your location. A first-year offer is not necessarily the amount charged on renewal. Avast also advertises trials for some platforms and offers, but trial length and whether a payment method is required vary. Read the terms of the specific trial rather than assuming it is a card-free purchase.

Pay for Avast Premium Security step by step

  1. Open Avast’s official Premium Security product page. Select the Single-Device or Multi-Device option that matches your devices. For a desktop purchase, choose Buy now to proceed to Avast’s purchase checkout.
  2. Review the order before entering payment details. Confirm the product, device entitlement, subscription period, amount due now and renewal amount or terms shown. Check any applicable taxes and the billing currency in the final summary. If an offer differs from what you expected, pause rather than assuming the advertised price will be applied later.
  3. Use your real details. Enter an email address you control and your accurate billing information in the fields checkout requests. Avast uses the purchase email to create an Avast Account, which you can later use to find and manage the subscription.
  4. Choose a card option if one is offered. Enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV exactly as displayed in your account. Available payment methods can vary by region and payment processor; use only a method actually presented at your checkout.
  5. Complete any payment verification. If the checkout or payment provider asks you to approve a security challenge, follow the legitimate instructions on that page and any instructions associated with your card. Do not share a one-time code or card details with someone who contacts you unexpectedly.
  6. Save the confirmation. Once payment is accepted, keep the receipt or confirmation email. If the page does not confirm the order, check your email and Avast Account before trying again so you do not accidentally place a second order.

For a mobile-only purchase, Avast directs Android users to upgrade inside its Google Play app and iPhone or iPad users to upgrade inside its App Store app. Those store purchases follow the store’s payment, subscription and refund processes rather than the desktop website checkout. Check the payment options presented by the relevant store; a card available to you does not establish that a particular store transaction will accept it.

Activate the subscription after payment

Avast says the purchase email is used for your Avast Account. An installer obtained from that account or from the confirmation email will usually activate Premium Security automatically. If it does not, sign in with the purchase email or use the activation code in the email, if provided. Check the product and device entitlement in your account or order confirmation before setting it up on additional devices.

If you cannot find the purchase, first check that you are signing in with the same email address used at checkout and look for the order confirmation in your inbox and spam folder. Keep the order details available if you need to contact Avast about activation; contact Coinepay support for questions about your card or a card transaction.

Troubleshoot a declined card or incomplete checkout

A declined payment does not, by itself, identify the cause. One user-reported failed Avast renewal displayed: “Sorry, we were unable to bill you - please try again in a few moments, or use another payment method”. That wording is not a diagnosis, and a new-purchase checkout may show something different. Work through these checks without repeatedly submitting an order whose status is unclear:

  • Insufficient available balance: Compare your available card funds with the full checkout total, not just the advertised plan price. If the funds are insufficient, add funds through the options available in your Coinepay account and try again after they appear. Do not assume a displayed promotion includes every charge in the final total.
  • Card-entry or billing mismatch: Re-enter the card number, expiry and CVV carefully. Check that your billing name and address are your real details and match what the payment flow expects. Correct mistakes; do not invent a local address to make a regional checkout work.
  • 3-D Secure or another verification step: If a security prompt appears, complete it promptly using the legitimate checkout flow. If it times out or cannot be completed, check your Coinepay app for relevant card information and ask Coinepay support to help identify the next step. Do not assume every transaction uses the same verification method.
  • Merchant or region checks: Avast may present different offers or payment options by location. Avast says its products and services are unavailable for purchase or use in Russia and Belarus. Do not try to bypass a location restriction. If checkout states a card-type or issuance-country requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets it before you buy; do not assume it qualifies.

If the charge appears in your card activity but Avast has not confirmed an order, retain the transaction and checkout details and contact Avast about the purchase before making another attempt. For a card-side decline or verification question, contact Coinepay support. Neither a failed page nor a pending transaction alone proves that a subscription is active.

Manage renewal, cancellation and refunds

Website and desktop-app subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel renewal before the next billing date. Avast says an annual subscription may be billed up to 35 days before the next term starts, so check the date shown in your account rather than waiting until the current term ends. In Avast’s newer portal, go to Avast Account → My subscriptions → Manage renewal → Payment center → Manage for billing controls. Alternative Avast instructions show My subscriptions → Update payment card; account screens can differ.

To stop renewal in the newer portal, use My subscriptions → Manage renewal → Unsubscribe. Google Play and App Store subscriptions must instead be cancelled through their respective stores, and some partner-processed purchases have a different route. Stopping renewal does not itself issue a refund; paid access continues for the current subscription period.

Avast’s consumer policy offers a full refund within 30 days of an eligible annual purchase or subsequent annual charge. A monthly subscription has a 14-day window after its initial purchase, but later monthly charges are generally treated differently. Additional prorated-refund provisions apply in some places, including Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Quebec. Check Avast’s current policy for your purchase route: App Store and retail or reseller purchases do not use the same Avast refund route. For an eligible Avast-billed order, look in your Avast Account order history or contact Avast Support to request a refund.

FAQ

Which Avast Premium Security option should I choose?

Single-Device is currently advertised as a 1+1 desktop-and-mobile offer; Multi-Device covers up to 10 supported devices. Confirm the entitlement in your checkout summary.

Why was my Coinepay card declined at Avast checkout?

Check the full checkout total against your available funds, correct any card or real billing-detail errors, and complete any security prompt. Contact support if a card or region requirement remains unclear.

Where can I update the card used for Avast renewal?

For an Avast-processed subscription, look under Avast Account → My subscriptions → Manage renewal → Payment center → Manage. Some accounts instead show My subscriptions → Update payment card.

Does cancelling Avast Premium Security automatically refund my payment?

No. Cancelling renewal keeps access through the current paid period but does not itself request a refund. Check Avast’s refund policy and use the refund route for your purchase.
