Jira Service Management (JSM) is Atlassian's cloud IT service and help-desk product. It is now sold as part of Service Collection, which comes in Free, Standard, Premium and Enterprise tiers. If you want to pay for a Standard or Premium subscription without a US bank account, a Coinepay virtual card gives you an instant card number, expiry date and CVV you can enter at Atlassian checkout. This guide walks through what you need, the sign-up and billing steps, and how to troubleshoot a declined card.
What you need before you start
- A verified Coinepay account. Register at Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) before you try to create a card. Card and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions.
- A Coinepay virtual card issued in the Coinepay app (iOS or Google Play) or the 24/7 dashboard, with enough balance for your first charge plus any small temporary authorization.
- Your real billing details. Use the name, address and postal code tied to your Coinepay card. Atlassian will match these at checkout, so do not use fake or placeholder information.
- An Atlassian account and the email address you want to manage the subscription with.
Card network note: Atlassian's purchasing FAQ states it accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit or debit cards, and that Discover is not accepted. Before you buy, open your card details in the Coinepay app to confirm the network, and contact Coinepay support if you want to verify your card meets this requirement first.
Check the plan and price
Atlassian's Jira Service Management pricing page redirects to Service Collection, with plans named Free, Standard, Premium and Enterprise. Free covers up to three agents at no cost. Enterprise is annual-only and routed to Atlassian sales, so it is not a self-checkout path.
At the time of writing (October 2026), Atlassian's public pricing page displayed Standard at $21.50 and Premium at $55.28 per agent/month for its selected configuration, while a separate list-price table effective October 13, 2026 showed progressive monthly rates of $26.90 per Standard agent and $61.60 per Premium agent for the first 15 agents, plus annual tiers such as a three-agent year at $800 (Standard) or $1,850 (Premium). Because these figures differ and annual billing uses agent-count tiers rather than a flat monthly multiple, always confirm the exact amount on your own checkout screen before paying. Prices and local-currency availability vary by region; check the official Atlassian pricing page for your account quote.
Create a Coinepay virtual card
- Open the Coinepay app or dashboard and sign in.
- Create a new virtual card and note the card number, expiry date and CVV.
- Top up enough to cover the first billing amount shown at Atlassian checkout plus a possible small authorization hold.
- Keep the billing name and address you registered handy so they match what you enter at Atlassian.
If you run a team, Coinepay lets you issue a dedicated card per purpose and set custom spending limits, which is handy for keeping software subscriptions separate from other spend.
Sign up for Jira Service Management
- From Atlassian's products page, select Jira Service Management, enter your details and choose Agree and Sign up to create your site.
- Atlassian offers a trial on this path. The JSM help page describes a 7-day trial, while the Service Collection pricing page describes a 14-day Standard or Premium trial without payment information. The length depends on the path you take, so read the trial terms on the exact screen you are shown.
- Set up your project so your agents and customers can start using the service desk during the trial.
Note that Atlassian Government Cloud does not allow JSM self-sign-up \u2014 those buyers must contact Carahsoft or Atlassian sales.
Add your Coinepay card and pay
Atlassian has two billing experiences. Use the one that matches your account:
- Improved billing: go to admin.atlassian.com/billing, select the billing account, then open Subscriptions to pick or change your plan, and Payment method to add or edit a card.
- From a running site: go to Atlassian Administration → Billing → Manage subscriptions → Change plan, then choose Standard or Premium. Atlassian requests payment details on upgrade.
- Original billing: use Billing → Manage subscriptions → Billing details to manage the card.
- Enter your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV, plus the matching billing name, address and postal code, then confirm.
Atlassian may place a temporary small authorization on a new card. A saved card is then charged automatically at the start of each recurring cycle unless you cancel. If you left an undeactivated paid-plan trial running, it becomes a monthly subscription afterward, so decide before the trial ends.
For immediate payment, the improved billing system also lists PayPal and ACH debit from a valid US-based USD bank account, while eligible termed annual invoices can use ACH credit, wire transfer or check. A card is the simplest route with Coinepay.
Troubleshooting a declined card
One Atlassian community user reported a "payment declined" message even after re-entering details, without a confirmed cause. Declines usually come down to a few checks. Work through these before retrying:
Insufficient balance
Confirm your Coinepay card holds enough for the full amount shown at checkout plus any authorization hold. Annual tiers can be substantially larger than a single monthly charge, so re-read the total on the confirmation screen and top up if needed.
Billing address or name mismatch
Make sure the billing name, address and postal code exactly match what is registered to your Coinepay card. A mismatch is a common reason card forms reject an entry.
3-D Secure or verification prompt
If a verification step appears, approve it in the Coinepay app. Complete any one-time passcode or in-app confirmation promptly, as these requests can expire.
Foreign-currency or frequency blocks
Atlassian's guidance names blocked foreign-currency payments and expired linked cards as failure points, and one team reply (for a Bitbucket customer) mentioned a "repeated attempts too frequently or exceeding its amount limit" card error. Avoid rapid repeat attempts, check any per-card limit you set in Coinepay, and confirm your card can be used for a USD charge.
Merchant region checks
Service Collection is cloud-only and its sale remains subject to Atlassian's customer agreement, including restrictions on US-embargoed jurisdictions and restricted parties. A full country-by-country availability list is not published. If your purchase is blocked for region reasons, use your real details \u2014 do not attempt to disguise your location \u2014 and contact Atlassian about availability.
If the charge still fails, contact Coinepay support to confirm the card is active and the attempt reached the network, then retry once.
Cancellations and refunds
In improved billing, cancel at admin.atlassian.com/billing → Subscriptions → Manage → More actions → Deactivate; cancelling Service Collection deactivates its included apps, with access ending 15 days after the current subscription period. In original billing, cancel through my.atlassian.com → Cancel Subscription, which stops the next renewal with no credit for unused time in the current cycle.
Standard and Premium refunds are limited to the initial purchase: monthly cloud within its first paid month after the trial, or a new annual subscription within 30 days of first purchase. Renewals and upgrades are not refundable, and the refund help page excludes Enterprise. Plan your first charge accordingly.
Keep your subscription running
Because Atlassian charges a saved card automatically each cycle, keep enough balance on your Coinepay card ahead of renewal dates so the service desk is not interrupted. You can review and top up anytime from the Coinepay dashboard or app. For live help, reach the team via support or Telegram.
