Roblox sells its subscriptions as Roblox Plus tiers, and paying for them from the web requires a payment method such as a credit or debit card. If you manage your spending with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks through what you need, how the Roblox checkout works, and what to do when a payment is declined. It is written for individual buyers who want a clear, accurate process rather than guesswork.
What you need before you start
Gather these first so checkout does not stall:
- A registered Roblox account that you can sign into on the web at roblox.com.
- A Coinepay virtual card. If you do not have one yet, create a Coinepay account and complete identity verification (KYC) before you try to pay. Card services require KYC first.
- The card number, expiry date and CVV, which appear in your Coinepay dashboard or the Coinepay app for iOS and Android.
- The exact billing address associated with your card details, so it matches what you enter at checkout.
- Enough available balance on the card to cover the subscription plus any applicable tax and any card-verification hold.
Roblox also sets its own rules: subscription buyers must meet their country's age-of-majority requirement (or have a parent or guardian purchase on their behalf), and Roblox's terms prohibit using a VPN to hide your location when buying. Use your real identity and real billing details.
Choosing a Roblox Plus plan
Since the April 30, 2026 change, new Roblox Premium purchases have stopped and the subscriptions offered to new buyers are Roblox Plus, Plus 500, Plus 1000 and Plus 2000. Standalone Plus includes no monthly Robux, while the three bundles include Plus plus 500, 1,000 or 2,000 Robux each month respectively.
At the time of writing (October 2026), the United States web prices shown were Roblox Plus US$4.99/month, Plus 500 US$8.99/month, Plus 1000 US$12.99/month and Plus 2000 US$21.99/month. These are listed subscription prices, not a confirmed final checkout total. Prices and currency vary by country, taxes may be added, and the amount you actually pay is determined at purchase, so always confirm the figure on the official Roblox upgrades page before you subscribe. Roblox offers native pricing in some countries and otherwise displays USD; your card issuer may add currency-conversion costs.
Step-by-step: subscribe and pay
- Open a web browser and sign into your account at roblox.com. The web/desktop flow is where card payment is available; Roblox's mobile app cannot update saved payment methods, and in-app purchases are handled by the relevant app store.
- Go to roblox.com/plus, or select the Roblox Plus icon from your account.
- Choose the plan you want (Plus, Plus 500, Plus 1000 or Plus 2000) and select Subscribe.
- When asked to select a payment method, choose to add a card. If a card is already saved but you want to use your Coinepay card instead, use the "Pay another way" option to add or select a different card.
- Enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, then enter the billing address exactly as it is associated with the card.
- Review the total shown, including any tax, and confirm the purchase.
- If prompted, complete any card-verification or 3-D Secure step (see troubleshooting below), then finish.
After purchase, the subscription renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. Note that Plus cannot be purchased through the Samsung Galaxy Store version of the app, PCGDK, Microsoft Handheld, Quest or other consoles, and is unavailable to users on the Roblox-VNG app in Vietnam.
A note on card acceptance
For Plus specifically, Roblox lists credit/debit cards, PayPal and redeemed gift-card credit on web/desktop, plus Apple App Store and Google Play for in-app purchases. Its general browser-purchase list includes major credit and debit cards and prepaid credit cards, and says each purchase must be paid in full with one method. Roblox's help pages say "major" cards without naming specific networks, and whether every generally accepted prepaid card works for a recurring Plus subscription is not stated by Roblox.
Because of that, do not assume in advance that a given card will be accepted for recurring billing. If you want to confirm your Coinepay card meets Roblox's payment requirements before you buy, contact Coinepay support.
Troubleshooting a declined card
Roblox documents several categories of card problems. Work through these in order.
Insufficient balance
Each purchase must be paid in full with one method, and a card-verification hold may apply on top of the subscription price. Open your Coinepay app or dashboard, confirm you have enough available balance for the plan plus tax and any temporary hold, top up if needed, and retry.
"Invalid Card" or "Unsuccessful Payment"
Roblox identifies these as prepaid-card errors, commonly linked to an unregistered prepaid card or mismatched billing details. Re-enter the card number, expiry and CVV carefully from your Coinepay app, and make sure the billing address matches exactly.
Billing address mismatch
An incorrect billing address is a documented decline reason. Copy the address precisely as it is associated with your Coinepay card, including format and postal code, and try again.
3-D Secure and card verification
Roblox's payment processor Xsolla may request a small card-verification transaction and ask you to enter its amount as a code. If you cannot verify, the purchase is refused. Verification charges and declined-payment holds generally reverse within 1\u201310 business days. Check your Coinepay transaction history for the small amount and complete any confirmation step shown.
Fraud-control triggers and region checks
A bank fraud-control trigger or a Roblox fraud-control trigger can block a payment, and Roblox says some cards may be rejected by its fraud controls even when the details are correct. Make sure Roblox is available and supported in your country, that your details are genuine, and that you are not using tools to mask your location. If it still fails, wait a short time and retry, or use a different accepted method.
Saving a card is a separate restriction from buying Plus: Roblox limits saved cards to users 18+ and does not offer card-saving in Argentina, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, the UAE, Ukraine or Vietnam. You may still be able to buy without saving a card, depending on your location.
If a payment keeps failing and you have ruled out the above, check in the Coinepay app that the charge was not taken, then reach Coinepay support or our Telegram for help reviewing the transaction from the card side.
Managing, cancelling and refunds
Go to Settings \u2192 Subscriptions to see your Plus renewal and expiration dates and to manage the subscription's payment method. Saved cards are managed under Settings \u2192 Payment Methods. To stop renewal, select the subscription and choose Cancel Renewal before the next billing date; your paid benefits remain until the current period ends.
Roblox states that Plus purchases are final and non-refundable, while its subscription terms preserve withdrawal rights where the law does not permit waiving them. For an unauthorized charge, contact Roblox, or contact Xsolla if your statement shows "Xsolla*Roblox," before filing a payment dispute; purchases made through Apple or other storefronts are handled by those platforms. This is an unauthorized-charge procedure, not a general refund promise.
Keep your Coinepay card funded ahead of each renewal date so an automatic payment does not fail. You can monitor every charge in the Coinepay dashboard or app, 24/7.

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card to pay for Roblox Plus?
Roblox accepts credit/debit cards and prepaid credit cards for web purchases but names only "major" cards, and does not confirm that every prepaid card works for recurring Plus billing. Enter your Coinepay card details and real billing address at checkout, and contact Coinepay support if you want to confirm your card meets the requirement before buying.
Which Roblox subscriptions can I buy, and how much do they cost?
New buyers can choose Roblox Plus, Plus 500, Plus 1000 or Plus 2000. At the time of writing (October 2026) US web prices were US$4.99, US$8.99, US$12.99 and US$21.99 per month respectively, but prices, currency and tax vary by country. Always check the official Roblox upgrades page for your final price.
Why was my card declined at Roblox checkout?
Common causes Roblox lists are insufficient balance, an unregistered prepaid card, a billing address mismatch, a failed Xsolla card-verification step, or a bank or Roblox fraud-control trigger. Check your details and Coinepay balance, complete any verification code, and retry; verification holds usually reverse within 1\u201310 business days.
What is the Xsolla verification charge on my card?
Xsolla, Roblox's payment processor, may place a small card-verification transaction and ask you to enter its amount as a code. If you cannot verify, the purchase is refused. These verification charges and any declined-payment holds generally reverse within 1 to 10 business days; look for the small amount in your Coinepay transaction history.
How do I cancel a Roblox Plus subscription paid with my card?
Go to Settings then Subscriptions, select the subscription, and choose Cancel Renewal before your next billing date. Your benefits continue until the current period ends. Roblox states Plus purchases are final and non-refundable, except where local law preserves withdrawal rights.
