Qwen offers paid assistant subscriptions through its mobile app. If you want to try paying with a Coinepay virtual card, first check which Qwen plan you are buying and which store will bill you. This guide covers the Qwen assistant subscription—not the separate QwenCloud Token Plan for developer tools.
Before you subscribe
The Qwen app lists four assistant tiers: Free, Qwen Go, Qwen Plus, and Qwen Pro. Its description assigns Go 400 monthly credits, Plus 2,000 monthly credits, and Pro 10,500 monthly credits. Check the plan details displayed in your app before buying, including what the credits cover, the charge interval, the price in your region, and any renewal terms. Do not assume a price shown for another country applies to you.
To use Coinepay card services, you must register and complete identity verification. Coinepay then provides a virtual card number, expiry date, and CVV through its app or self-service dashboard. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions. Check the Coinepay app for your available balance and any card settings relevant to the purchase. Availability of Coinepay services varies by jurisdiction.
- Use your real details. Keep your Qwen account, app-store account, and payment information accurate. Enter your actual billing details where requested.
- Know who is charging you. An iPhone purchase is billed through Apple; an Android purchase made through Google Play is billed through Google Play. Their payment screens and subscription controls are different.
- Check the final screen. Review the amount, currency, billing interval, trial terms if any, and renewal date before confirming. A virtual card is not a way around a store’s regional or payment rules.
How to sign up for Qwen and choose a plan
- Install or open the official Qwen assistant app on your iPhone or Android device. Make sure you are using the app and store account you intend to keep for subscription management.
- Sign in or follow the app’s sign-up prompts if you do not yet have a Qwen account. Qwen Studio also offers a Log in / Sign up screen if you need to create an account before using its web experience.
- In the app, open the available subscription or upgrade options. Compare Qwen Go, Qwen Plus, and Qwen Pro against the Free tier. The paid tiers have different monthly credit allowances, so select the one that fits your intended assistant use.
- Read the purchase information supplied by Apple or Google Play. Confirm that the plan, displayed price, billing interval, and store account are correct before attempting payment.
App menus can change. If an upgrade option is not visible, check that your app is current and review the options actually offered to your account and region. Do not buy a QwenCloud Token Plan expecting it to upgrade your Qwen assistant subscription.
How to try paying with your Coinepay virtual card
- Register with Coinepay and complete the required identity verification if you have not already done so.
- Open the Coinepay iOS app, Coinepay Android app, or Coinepay dashboard. Locate your virtual card and check its card number, expiry date, CVV, and available funds.
- Return to the Qwen app, select your assistant tier, and proceed to the Apple or Google Play purchase screen.
- If the store offers a way to add a payment card to your account, enter your Coinepay card details as displayed. Use your genuine billing information and complete any verification requested by the store or payment provider. Available payment methods and card eligibility depend on the store and your region.
- Review the store’s final purchase screen before authorizing the charge. Keep the purchase confirmation so you can identify the billing provider and manage the subscription later.
Entering a card does not establish that a store will accept it. If the payment screen states that a particular card type or issuing country is required, treat that as a firm requirement. Contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before you buy; do not change your account region or billing address to get around the rule.
What to do if the card is declined
A decline at the Apple or Google Play checkout does not necessarily mean there is a problem with your Qwen account. Read the exact message shown, then work through the relevant checks below. Store messages differ, so do not rely on an error description from a different purchase flow.
Insufficient balance or an amount you did not expect
Check your card’s available funds in Coinepay against the total shown at checkout, not just a price you saw advertised. The store may display taxes, a different local price, or a renewal amount. If the available funds are insufficient, add funds using the options offered in your Coinepay account and retry only after confirming the balance. If the amount itself looks wrong, stop and review the plan and store account before paying.
Billing details do not match
Re-enter the card number, expiry date, and CVV carefully. Check the billing name and address recorded with the store against your real payment details, and correct any mistakes. Use your actual country and address; a fabricated address or changed store region can create further verification problems and may breach store rules.
Verification or 3-D Secure does not complete
If checkout presents a security challenge, finish it through the method shown and return to the purchase screen. An interrupted challenge, closed prompt, or expired session can leave the payment incomplete. If you cannot complete the requested verification, check the Coinepay app for relevant notices and contact Coinepay support with the time and wording of the failure. Do not assume the subscription is active until the store confirms the purchase.
Store or merchant region checks
Apple, Google Play, and Qwen may apply location, account, and payment-method rules. Check the store’s message and the plan availability displayed for your actual region. If a payment-method or country restriction is stated, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets the requirement before trying again. If the plan is unavailable in your region, use only the options legitimately offered to your account.
If you have checked these points and still cannot pay, save the exact on-screen error, the store used, and the attempted purchase amount. Share that information with the appropriate store’s support team and Coinepay support. Do not send anyone your full card number or CVV in a support message.
Manage or cancel your Qwen subscription
Manage the subscription through the store that billed you. For an Apple-billed purchase, open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Qwen subscription → Cancel Subscription. For a Google Play-billed purchase, open Google Play → Subscriptions → Qwen subscription → Cancel subscription. Check the subscription entry for its current renewal information. Uninstalling the Android app does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
For an eligible Apple refund request, use Apple’s Report a Problem process. Google Play refund eligibility follows Google Play’s policy. Review the billing provider shown on your receipt rather than assuming the same cancellation or refund process applies to every Qwen purchase.
Do you mean the QwenCloud Token Plan instead?
QwenCloud Token Plans are separate purchases intended for supported developer tools; they are not a confirmed way to upgrade Qwen Studio or the Qwen assistant app. The international Personal Edition lists Lite, Essential, Standard, and Pro tiers. If that is what you need, sign up for QwenCloud using GitHub or email verification, select a plan and subscription period, then follow its checkout to obtain the plan-specific API key.
QwenCloud places payment management under avatar → Billing → Billing Overview → Manage Payments, and subscription management under Token Plan → My Subscriptions. Its card-linking guidance calls for sufficient funds for a US$1 pre-authorization, online and international payments to be enabled, and 3-D Secure where required. It also says a card expiring in the current month cannot be added. These are QwenCloud rules, not instructions for Apple or Google Play checkout. QwenCloud says registration country or region cannot later be changed, so choose your real location when registering. Check its current documentation and checkout for the plan terms that apply to you.

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for Qwen Go, Plus, or Pro?
You can try adding the card at the Apple or Google Play checkout if that store offers card payment. Acceptance depends on the store’s requirements and your region; review the result before assuming the subscription is active.
Where do I cancel a Qwen subscription bought on my phone?
For Apple billing, use iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. For Google Play billing, use Google Play → Subscriptions. Select the Qwen subscription and follow the cancellation prompts.
Why was my card declined when buying Qwen?
Check the available balance, card entries, real billing details, any security-verification prompt, and the store’s region or card requirements. Keep the exact error message if you need support.
Will a QwenCloud Token Plan upgrade my Qwen assistant account?
Do not assume so. A QwenCloud Token Plan is a separate purchase for supported developer tools, not a confirmed assistant-app or Qwen Studio upgrade.
