You can enter a Coinepay virtual card’s number, expiry date and CVV when paying for eligible magicJack purchases online. Before you start, decide whether you need a magicJackHOME device, a renewal for an existing device, or the separate magicApp Paid App Subscription. They use different checkout flows. This guide covers what to check before paying, where to enter your card, and what to do if a payment fails.
Choose the magicJack purchase you need
magicJackHOME is the device sold through magicJack.com. Its service choices are magicIN for incoming calls, magicOUT for outgoing calls, or both for two-way service. The device includes 12 months when you choose both services, or 15 months when you choose either one-way service. The free magicApp Companion App follows the device’s service choice; it is not the same purchase as the app-only subscription.
For an existing device, magicJack lists two-way renewal offers called 1 YEAR PLAN and 3 YEAR PLAN. A one-way magicIN or magicOUT subscription has its own renewal terms. Premium-number renewals, such as those for a Canadian, vanity or custom number, are separate from renewing the device service. Check your account and the order summary to see which items you are paying for.
magicApp Paid App Subscription is a separate monthly, app-only offering, purchased through Apple or Google rather than magicJack.com. Its available service choices include incoming, outgoing or both. If that is what you want, follow the payment flow in your device’s app store; changing a card in your magicJack web account is not a substitute for changing an app-store payment method.
Check payment requirements before you begin
- Create and verify your Coinepay account. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Your card number, expiry date and CVV are available through the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
- Confirm the card requirements. magicJack says device and service checkout requires a valid credit or debit card on Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets those requirements before you buy. Do not assume that having card details alone establishes eligibility.
- Check the full amount. magicJack charges for device and service purchases in USD. Displayed prices may not be the checkout total: shipping, taxes and other fees may apply, and magicJack’s help center says it adds a 9% administrative fee to every purchase. Review the final amount and check your available card funds in Coinepay before confirming.
- Use your real details. Have your actual name and billing address ready, along with a shipping address where applicable. magicJack lists device shipping to the United States, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Canada. Do not enter a different location to get around shipping or payment restrictions.
At the time of writing (October 2026), magicJack displayed magicJackHOME at US$44.99 as a limited-time offer, and displayed the two-way 1 YEAR PLAN at US$43 and 3 YEAR PLAN at US$119. These are displayed prices, not final totals. Check magicJack’s official device and plans pages for current offers and terms before ordering.
How to order a new magicJackHOME device
- Prepare your Coinepay card. Sign in to Coinepay, confirm your identity verification is complete, and retrieve the virtual card’s number, expiry date and CVV. Check that you have enough available funds for the full order total, not just the displayed device price.
- Start at magicJack.com. Choose magicJackHOME and follow the site’s ordering prompts. If you already have a magicJack account, you can sign in at my.magicJack.com and go to Shop.
- Select your service. Choose magicIN, magicOUT or both, based on whether you need incoming calls, outgoing calls or two-way service. Check the included service period shown for your selection.
- Enter your real order details. Provide the requested account, shipping and billing information. Review the delivery destination and the complete checkout total, including any shipping charges, taxes and fees.
- Enter the card and review the terms. Type the Coinepay card details into magicJack’s card fields. Read the displayed subscriber agreement and any auto-renewal terms before submitting the order. Complete any verification prompt your payment flow presents; do not repeatedly submit while an authorization is pending.
- Keep the confirmation. Save your order confirmation and check your account for the resulting purchase. After the device arrives, follow magicJack’s setup directions to register it at mjreg.com.
magicJack does not accept cash, checks, PayPal or EFT for its device orders, so choose its card checkout rather than looking for one of those payment methods. A card addition can also produce a temporary US$1 authorization. If you see what looks like an extra order charge, check whether it is an authorization hold before placing another order.
How to renew an existing device with your card
- Sign in at my.magicJack.com and open Account → Device Status.
- Select Add Months or Click to Reactivate, as applicable to the device shown.
- Choose the renewal plan you want and add it to the cart. If you also need a premium-number renewal, review that separately so you know exactly what each payment covers.
- Enter the Coinepay card, or select it if you have already added it to your account. Review the final charge, auto-renewal information and subscriber agreement, then select Complete Order.
- Check Account → Device Status afterward to make sure the renewal completed. A payment attempt or authorization alone is not confirmation that service was renewed.
If you cannot sign in, magicJack’s Rapid Renew route lets you submit your magicJack number and use a single-use link sent to the account’s primary email. The link lasts one hour. A premium-number renewal still requires you to sign in.
Manage the saved card and auto-renewal
To add a card or update a saved card’s billing address or expiry date, sign in at my.magicJack.com and go to Account → Manage Payment Information. If an old card is tied to auto-renewals, move those renewals to the new card before deleting it. An invalid or failed payment method can interrupt an auto-renewed service, so review the card associated with each renewal before its due date.
Find renewal controls under Account → AutoRenew. magicJack’s agreement says auto-renewal defaults to on at registration or renewal unless you turn it off, and an enabled renewal is charged at the rate then in effect. Its help materials describe switching AutoRenew to OFF, while renewal guidance also refers customers to Customer Care for opting out. If the account control does not resolve your request, contact magicJack Customer Care directly. The agreement says to turn off auto-renewal at least one calendar day before the current term ends.
Turning off renewal lets the device subscription expire after its prepaid period; unused subscription time is not refundable. If you want immediate cancellation, contact magicJack customer service. Keep your cancellation confirmation and check the account’s renewal status rather than assuming that removing a saved card cancels service.
Troubleshoot a declined magicJack card payment
A message such as “Your payment was declined. Please try again” does not identify a specific cause. If checkout fails, work through these checks before trying again:
- Insufficient available funds: Compare the card’s available funds with magicJack’s final USD checkout total, including applicable shipping, taxes and fees. Remember that a temporary authorization may affect what appears available. Check the Coinepay app for your card’s current status and transaction activity.
- Billing address mismatch: Compare the name and real billing address entered at checkout with the details associated with your payment method. For a saved card, check Account → Manage Payment Information and correct an outdated address or expiry date. Do not use a made-up address to pass a check.
- Authentication or 3-D Secure prompt: If a verification step appears, follow its on-screen instructions and check whether the attempt was approved or declined in Coinepay. If authentication does not complete, contact Coinepay support with the time and amount of the attempt. Do not assume a prompt will appear for every purchase.
- Merchant card or region checks: Recheck magicJack’s credit-or-debit and accepted-network requirements, your real billing location, and device shipping availability. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the merchant’s stated card requirements; ask magicJack support about an order rejected by its checkout or location rules.
If a renewal does not complete, check your magicJack account before retrying so you do not mistake a pending authorization for a successful purchase. If you contact support, share the error text, attempted amount, time and whether this was a new device order or a renewal. Never send your full card number or CVV in a support message.

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for a magicJack renewal?
You can enter virtual card details in magicJack’s renewal card fields, but magicJack requires an eligible credit or debit card on an accepted network. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets those requirements before paying.
Where do I change the card saved in my magicJack account?
Sign in at my.magicJack.com and open Account → Manage Payment Information. Move affected auto-renewals to the new card before deleting an old one.
Is the magicApp Paid App Subscription billed through magicJack.com?
No. The separate monthly magicApp Paid App Subscription is purchased through Apple or Google. A magicJackHOME device and its service use the magicJack ordering and renewal flows.
What should I do if magicJack declines my payment?
Check the final USD total against your available funds, verify your real billing details, complete any authentication prompt, and confirm your card meets magicJack’s requirements. Check the account before retrying a renewal.
