Yesim sells prepaid, data-only eSIM plans for individual countries, regions and worldwide travel, so you can get online abroad without swapping a physical SIM. If you manage your spending with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks through what you need, how to sign up and check out, and what to try if a payment is declined. Yesim handles the eSIM; Coinepay simply gives you a card number, expiry date and CVV to pay with.
Before you start
Get these ready so checkout goes smoothly:
- A verified Coinepay account. You must register and finish identity verification (KYC) before your virtual card can be used. If you have not yet, create your account and complete KYC, then open your card details in the Coinepay app or dashboard.
- Your card details and real billing address. Have the card number, expiry, CVV and the billing address on file. Always use your real identity and billing details — do not use fake addresses or try to work around any regional check.
- An eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked device. Yesim requires this, and data only works where your chosen plan covers. Check your device supports eSIM before buying.
- The right destination in mind. Yesim plans cover specific countries, regions or global zones, so decide where you are travelling first.
Note that Yesim adds a small €0.50 verification charge when you add a card, which it credits back to your account as Ycoins (its in-app balance). A first purchase paid with gift Ycoins also needs a valid card and a €0.50 security payment credited as Ycoins. Confirm your Coinepay card has enough balance to cover both the plan and that small charge.
Choosing a Yesim plan
Yesim offers Fixed plans (a set amount of data), Unlimited plans, and Pay & Fly pay-as-you-go. Its global offers are named Unlim Day Pass, Pay & Fly, Global Package and Global Plus Package, with coverage that varies by offer. Single-country plans are also available for destinations such as the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and Canada.
At the time of writing (October 2026), examples of displayed prices include the Unlim Day Pass at $40.80 for 7 days, the Global Package unlimited 7-day plan at $40.80, and a US 1-day unlimited plan at $3.48. These are displayed prices, not your final checkout quote, and Yesim has changed pricing and pack lengths during 2026. Always confirm the exact price, data amount and coverage on the Yesim offer page or in the app before you pay, since figures and country counts can differ between a page's pricing cards and its FAQ text.
Step-by-step: paying with your Coinepay card
- Create or sign in to your Yesim account. You can register on the Yesim website or in the Yesim app and confirm your email if prompted.
- Choose Buy new eSIM. Select your destination, then the duration and data amount, and pick when the eSIM should activate.
- Review the checkout summary. Yesim shows the price and, if you turn on Enable auto-renewal, the next charge date and amount before you pay. Leave auto-renewal off if you only want a one-time purchase.
- Select a card payment method. Yesim's payment-method help lists Visa and Mastercard debit/credit cards, Amex, and several wallets. Choose the card option and enter your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV.
- Enter your billing address. Type the billing address exactly as it appears in your Coinepay app so it matches.
- Complete any 3-D Secure step. If your card requires an additional confirmation, approve it in the Coinepay app or via the confirmation method you have set up.
- Pay and collect your eSIM. After payment, Yesim sends the QR code to install your eSIM. Follow the on-screen instructions to add it to your device.
Because Yesim shows the QR code only after a successful payment, make sure the charge completes before you expect to see it. Keep your purchase confirmation email in case you need support later.
If your card is declined
Yesim's own failure guide lists the common reasons a card payment does not go through. Work through these in order:
Insufficient balance
The plan price plus the €0.50 verification charge must fit within your available balance. Top up your Coinepay card or choose a lower-cost plan, then try again. Check your balance in the Coinepay app, not at Yesim.
Incorrect card number, expiry or billing address
A single wrong digit, an outdated expiry, or a billing address that does not match will cause a decline. Re-open your card in the Coinepay app, copy the details carefully, and make sure the billing address field matches exactly.
3-D Secure not completed
If a secure-authentication prompt appears and is not approved in time, the payment fails. Retry and complete the confirmation step promptly in the Coinepay app.
Bank or card restrictions
Yesim notes that some cards block recurring or online payments, and that issuing-bank fraud blocks, per-transaction limits, charge-count limits or location-based card restrictions can stop a charge. If you suspect a limit or block on the Coinepay side, review your card settings and spending limits in the app. Contact Coinepay support if you need help confirming your card settings.
Merchant region or card-type checks
Yesim's documentation mentions location-based card restrictions, and acceptance for a particular checkout or location is not guaranteed in its help articles. Yesim also warns that access to its app and website may be limited in Turkey and advises buying and installing before you travel. If a card type is not accepted at your checkout, do not try to disguise your location — instead, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before you buy, or pick another method Yesim offers you.
Browser interference
Yesim lists JavaScript being disabled or an ad-blocker as possible causes. If you are paying on the website, enable JavaScript, pause ad-blockers for the checkout page, or try the Yesim app instead.
Managing renewals and refunds
If you enabled auto-renewal, you can cancel it in the Yesim app under Data plans → active eSIM → Plan auto-renewal → Cancel auto-renewal; confirm before the next charge date, because cancelling does not reverse charges already processed. Virtual-number subscriptions are managed separately under Numbers → selected number → Settings. Yesim's terms also say you can revoke authorization for future charges in Account settings.
For refunds, Yesim generally requires a request within 30 calendar days while the eSIM remains unactivated and unused — installing the profile or connecting to a network can count as activation, and a Day Pass day is used once its 24-hour period starts. Approved refunds usually return to your original payment method, except approved amounts of €10 or less, which are issued as Ycoins. Yesim says it reviews refund requests within 15 business days, and you can reach it at [email protected] or through in-app support. Purchases made through an app store follow that store's rules instead.

FAQ
Which card details do I enter at Yesim checkout?
Enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, shown in the Coinepay app or dashboard, along with the billing address exactly as it appears on your Coinepay account. Yesim sends your eSIM QR code after the payment succeeds.
Why was my Coinepay card declined on Yesim?
Common causes are insufficient balance, a mistyped card number or expiry, a billing-address mismatch, an unfinished 3-D Secure step, card limits or online-payment restrictions, and browser ad-blockers. Check each in the Coinepay app and retry.
Is there an extra charge when I add my card to Yesim?
Yes. Yesim applies a €0.50 verification charge when you add a card and credits it back to your account as Ycoins. Make sure your Coinepay card balance covers both the plan price and this small charge.
How much does a Yesim plan cost?
Prices vary by destination, duration and data amount, and Yesim changed some prices during 2026. Displayed prices are not your final quote, so always confirm the exact price and coverage on the Yesim offer page or app before you pay.
Can I get a refund if I paid with my Coinepay card?
Yesim generally allows refund requests within 30 days while the eSIM is unactivated and unused. Approved refunds usually go back to your original method, but approved amounts of €10 or less are issued as Ycoins. Contact Yesim at [email protected].
