Egnyte offers cloud file storage and collaboration plans for teams and businesses. If you want to pay with a Coinepay virtual card, first check the Egnyte plan and payment terms available to your account. You can start a trial without entering a card, then add your card if Egnyte offers card payment for your purchase or invoice.
Before you start
- Prepare your Coinepay account. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) before using card services. Your virtual card provides a card number, expiry date and CVV, which you can view in the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
- Use your real details. Have your genuine name or business information and billing address ready. The details you enter in Egnyte should accurately describe the person or organization responsible for the subscription.
- Choose who will manage billing. An Egnyte administrator should handle subscription and payment changes. If your organization purchases through an MSP partner, ask that partner about billing rather than expecting the same payment controls in Egnyte.
- Check the purchase terms. Egnyte supports online purchases and order forms. Your applicable order form determines payment method and billing frequency, so confirm that card payment is offered before relying on a virtual card.
Availability depends on applicable rules and the options shown for your account. Egnyte’s terms include sanctions and export restrictions, and Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. Do not use an inaccurate address or other details to bypass a regional or payment restriction.
Choose an Egnyte plan
Egnyte lists Team, Business, Enterprise Lite and Elite with a Start Free Trial option. Ultimate is offered by custom quote; contact Egnyte to discuss that plan. These published figures can help you compare plans, but they are not a promise of your checkout total:
| Plan | Published pricing at the time of writing (October 2026) | Purchase route shown |
|---|---|---|
| Team | $10 per user/month, paid annually; listed for 1–10 users | Start Free Trial |
| Business | $22 per user/month, paid annually | Start Free Trial |
| Enterprise Lite | $39 per user/month, paid annually | Start Free Trial |
| Elite | $48 per user/month, paid annually | Start Free Trial |
| Ultimate | Custom quote | Contact Egnyte |
Check Egnyte’s official pricing page and your actual order before purchasing. Published fees exclude applicable taxes, such as sales tax, VAT or GST. The amount and payment schedule may depend on your order form. If you need pricing for another market, use the details Egnyte presents to you rather than assuming that the dollar figures above apply locally.
Start a trial and pay for Egnyte
- Open Egnyte’s official pricing page. Compare the plans and select Start Free Trial for the plan you want to evaluate. For Ultimate, use Egnyte’s contact option instead of looking for a standard trial checkout.
- Complete the trial registration presented by Egnyte. Enter accurate account and organization information, and follow any prompts to set up your workspace. Egnyte says its free trial does not require a credit card, so you do not need to enter your Coinepay card merely to begin the trial.
- Review the paid offer before committing. When you are ready to buy, use the purchase or subscription option available in your Egnyte account, or review the order form Egnyte provides. Confirm the plan, number of users, billing frequency, taxes, renewal terms and available payment method. Do not assume every plan uses the same online checkout.
- Enter your Coinepay card if card payment is offered. Copy the card number, expiry date and CVV from the Coinepay app or dashboard into the Egnyte payment form. Enter your real billing information as requested. Review the amount before submitting, and complete any verification steps the payment flow requests.
- Confirm the result. Check Egnyte’s subscription or invoice area for the recorded purchase or payment, and check your Coinepay transaction activity. If Egnyte provides an order form or an invoice with payment terms instead of a card-entry option, follow those instructions or ask Egnyte’s billing team what methods your account can use.
An unpurchased Egnyte trial ends automatically after 15 days. If you decide not to proceed earlier, a trial administrator can use Cancel my Egnyte trial in the account menu; cancellation takes effect immediately.
Manage an existing Egnyte card or invoice
Egnyte is moving direct customers to a new billing experience, so the location of card controls depends on the account. In the new layout, go to Settings → Subscription and look for Payment Methods, Company Details and Invoices. Plan changes are under Current Plan. In the legacy layout, card changes and billing statements are under Settings → Subscription → Current Plan.
Egnyte documents saved cards for automatic payments, one-time card payments of invoices, and manual invoice payment for customers with payment terms. A card entered for a one-time invoice payment is not saved for future charges. If you intend to use the Coinepay card for renewals, check whether it is actually saved as the payment method rather than assuming a one-time payment changed your subscription settings. Accounts purchased through an MSP partner generally do not show Egnyte’s billing-management tabs; contact the partner for payment changes.
If billing trouble has locked your account, an administrator may see Update Billing Information and can use it to enter card details. If that option is not shown, contact Egnyte Customer Service. Avoid repeatedly submitting the same payment without first checking the billing information and the status of earlier attempts.
Troubleshoot a declined Egnyte payment
A declined payment does not, by itself, identify the cause. Check what Egnyte displays and whether the attempted charge appears in Coinepay, then work through these possibilities:
- Insufficient available balance: Compare your available card funds with the full amount Egnyte is attempting to charge, including any applicable tax. Annual billing can make the amount due different from the advertised per-user monthly figure. Check the amount and your card’s available funds in the relevant dashboards before trying again.
- Billing details do not match: Recheck the card number, expiry date, CVV and the real billing name and address entered for the payment. Correct a typo or outdated company detail in Egnyte; do not substitute an address that is not yours.
- Verification was not completed: If the checkout requests a 3-D Secure or other verification step, follow the prompt and wait for a final result before resubmitting. If no prompt appears, it times out, or the payment still fails, contact Coinepay support with the time and amount of the attempt. Support can help you check the card-side result without guessing why Egnyte rejected it.
- Merchant or regional checks: Egnyte or its payment provider may apply eligibility and payment checks. Check that your account and billing details accurately reflect where you or your business are based. If Egnyte says the card or region is ineligible, ask Egnyte about the requirement and contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before you buy. Do not try to route around a restriction.
If Egnyte offers only invoice or order-form payment for your account, the issue may be the agreed payment process rather than a card decline. Ask Egnyte which payment method applies. For a recorded card attempt, share the date, amount and any displayed notice with support, but never send your full card number or CVV in a message.
Understand renewals and cancellation
Egnyte’s July 2026 terms provide for automatic renewal and require at least 30 days’ written notice before the current term ends to prevent renewal. Fees are generally non-refundable, and early termination other than for cause does not refund prepaid fees. The terms describe a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the period after a qualifying termination for cause. Review the terms and your order form before purchasing an annual subscription.
For a direct paid account, an administrator can begin account closure from Current Plan → Close this account and/or email [email protected]. Egnyte says a representative assists with scheduling shutdown. A non-admin user cannot initiate that closure. If you bought through an MSP partner, ask the partner how cancellation and renewal notices work under your agreement.

FAQ
Do I need a card to start an Egnyte free trial?
No. Egnyte says its free trial does not require a credit card. An unpurchased trial ends automatically after 15 days.
Where do I change the card used for Egnyte billing?
For direct customers on the new billing layout, use Settings → Subscription → Payment Methods. On the legacy layout, use Settings → Subscription → Current Plan. MSP customers should ask their partner.
Will paying an Egnyte invoice with my card save it for renewals?
Not necessarily. Egnyte says a card used for a one-time invoice payment is not saved. Check the saved payment method separately if you want it used for automatic payments.
