You can start using Lucidchart on its Free plan, then choose a paid plan if you need more. This guide walks through preparing a Coinepay virtual card, paying through Lucidchart’s checkout, and handling common declines. Check the final price and billing terms before you confirm a purchase.

What you need before you start

  • A Coinepay account and virtual card. Register for Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) before using card services. Coinepay provides the virtual card number, expiry date, and CVV in its app and 24/7 self-service dashboard.
  • A Lucid account. You can start free or sign in with Google or Microsoft from Lucidchart’s trial page. Use your own account and accurate personal or business details.
  • Your real billing information. Have the name and billing address associated with your payment details ready. Do not substitute an address from another country to try to pass a payment check.
  • A plan choice. Lucid lists Free, Individual, Team, and Lucid Suite Enterprise as standard plan levels. It lists Lucid GovSuite (FedRAMP) separately. Individual and Team upgrades are available through Lucidchart’s pricing flow; contact Lucid’s sales team about Enterprise or GovSuite.

Check the available balance or funding options for your card in Coinepay before checkout. Leave enough room for the full amount Lucid displays, including any applicable tax. If you need help understanding the card’s available balance or a card transaction, contact Coinepay support.

Choose the right Lucidchart purchase route

For a personal subscription, compare Individual with the Free plan on Lucidchart’s official pricing page. If you are buying for colleagues, review Team and confirm who in your organization should own billing. Lucid’s published automatic-payment options for Individual and small Team accounts include most major credit cards, PayPal, SEPA, and GoCardless. Payment options presented to you may depend on the account and checkout.

Lucidchart’s trial page also offers a seven-day trial. Read its terms and the price shown for your account before starting: a trial may lead to a paid subscription unless you cancel as required by Lucid’s terms. At the time of writing (October 2026), Lucid’s diagram-maker page advertised Individual from $7.95/month and Team from $9.00/user/month, while its Lucidchart trial page advertised Individual at $9.00/month plus tax after the trial. Those are different advertised starting points, not a promise of your checkout price. Check Lucidchart’s official pricing page and your order details for the billing period, taxes, and amount you will authorize.

For a large Team or Enterprise purchase, ask Lucid’s sales or accounts-receivable team about bank transfer or purchase-order arrangements rather than assuming a card checkout is available. Follow the purchase route Lucid provides for your account.

How to subscribe with your Coinepay virtual card

  1. Prepare your card. Sign in to the Coinepay app or dashboard and locate your virtual card’s number, expiry date, and CVV. Check that the card is ready to use and has sufficient available funds for the total shown at checkout.
  2. Sign in to Lucidchart. Start with a Free account, or use the sign-up or Google or Microsoft sign-in option presented on Lucidchart’s trial page. If you already have an account, sign in to that account so the subscription attaches to the right workspace.
  3. Select a paid option. From Lucidchart’s pricing page, choose the Individual or Team upgrade that fits your needs. If you start from a trial offer, read when the trial ends and what paid plan follows it. Review any choice of billing period presented rather than assuming the advertised monthly starting rate is charged monthly.
  4. Review the order. Check the plan, number of users if relevant, billing period, currency, taxes, and total on Lucid’s checkout page. Confirm that the account and billing details are yours and are entered accurately.
  5. Enter your card details. If card payment is offered, type the Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date, and CVV into Lucid’s payment fields. Enter your real billing details. If your checkout requests a security verification, complete it through the method shown rather than repeatedly restarting payment.
  6. Confirm and verify. Submit the order only after reviewing the amount and renewal terms. Wait for Lucid’s confirmation, then check the plan shown in your Lucid account and the transaction shown in Coinepay. If the result is unclear, check both accounts before trying again to avoid unintended duplicate attempts.

Lucid’s billing area is under profile icon → Account Settings → Plans & Billing. On Team and Enterprise accounts, access to billing settings requires the account-owner or billing-admin role. If you cannot see the relevant controls, ask the person with that role rather than creating another subscription.

What to do if Lucidchart declines the card

A decline does not, by itself, identify which service rejected the payment. Read the message Lucid displays and check the transaction status in Coinepay before changing anything. Lucid documents errors including a payment that cannot be processed, an invalid address, insufficient funds, and too many charge attempts.

Insufficient funds or a different final total

If Lucid reports insufficient funds, compare the available card balance with the full checkout total—not just the plan’s advertised starting rate. The amount may include tax or reflect a different billing period. Check funding options and transaction details in Coinepay, then retry only when the card has enough available funds. If the amounts do not make sense, contact Coinepay support before making more attempts.

Invalid address or billing-detail mismatch

For an invalid-address message, check for typing errors in the name, street address, postal code, and country you entered. Use your real billing details and make sure they match the details applicable to your payment method. If the information is correct but the error persists, ask Lucid’s Billing Support to review the checkout details and Coinepay support to help investigate the card-side result. Do not use someone else’s address or change countries solely to get past the check.

Security verification or 3-D Secure does not finish

If Lucid’s payment flow asks you to authenticate the card, follow the verification prompt and return to checkout to see whether payment completed. If a 3-D Secure challenge fails, times out, or never appears, check for a pending or completed transaction in Coinepay before retrying. Then contact Coinepay support with the time, amount, and error shown, without sharing your CVV. Ask Lucid’s Billing Support whether its checkout recorded a successful order. Do not assume every Lucidchart checkout uses the same security challenge.

Merchant region checks or issuer holds

Lucid notes that an issuer may flag an international charge, a foreign-currency charge, or an unfamiliar merchant. The merchant’s payment checks and the card-side decision are separate, so ask the appropriate support team what it can see. Lucid cannot remove an issuer’s hold. If a checkout indicates a region or payment-method restriction, use your actual country and contact Lucid about its purchase options; contact Coinepay support to check the card-side decline. Neither changing your stated location nor repeated attempts is a suitable fix.

If you see too many charge attempts, stop retrying and contact support. Also check whether an older saved card has expired: Lucid says an expired card can lead to a past-due notice. In Plans & Billing, card details can be updated through Payment method → three-dot menu → Edit payment method. Lucid directs customers to Billing Support to change PayPal, SEPA, or GoCardless details.

Manage renewal or cancel later

Keep track of the renewal date and the plan attached to your Lucid account. For Individual and Team subscriptions, Lucid’s cancellation path is Plans & Billing → Your plans → the product’s three-dot menu → Cancel this plan. Cancel each Lucid product subscription separately if you have more than one. Enterprise customers should contact their Lucid account manager or Billing Support.

Cancellation stops renewal, while paid access continues through the paid period. Lucid generally does not refund cancellations, subject to its terms and applicable-law exceptions. Its terms require cancellation or renewal changes at least 30 days before the end of a multi-user term, or before the end of the term for an individual or monthly paid account. Review your account’s terms and act early enough for the change to take effect.

FAQ

Can I start Lucidchart without paying?

Yes. Lucidchart has a Free plan. Its trial page also offers a seven-day trial; review the subsequent paid terms before starting one.

Where can I change the card used for Lucidchart?

Go to profile icon → Account Settings → Plans & Billing → Payment method → three-dot menu → Edit payment method. Team and Enterprise billing access requires the account-owner or billing-admin role.

Why does Lucidchart say my address is invalid?

Check your real billing name, address, postal code, and country for mistakes. If they are correct, contact Lucid’s Billing Support and Coinepay support to investigate.

What should I do if a security check fails during checkout?

Check Lucid for an order and Coinepay for a transaction before retrying. If verification still fails, contact Coinepay support and Lucid’s Billing Support with the error and transaction details; do not share your CVV.

Does canceling Lucidchart immediately end paid access?

Lucid says paid access continues through the paid period after cancellation. Check its cancellation deadlines and terms; cancellations generally are not refunded, subject to applicable exceptions.
