You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at QuillBot’s website checkout when subscribing to Premium, but payment approval depends on QuillBot’s checks and the card transaction. This guide covers what to prepare, how to complete the purchase, and what to check if the payment is declined.
Before you start
QuillBot offers Free, Premium, and a Team Plan for multiple people. For an individual Premium purchase on the website, QuillBot lists Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual billing. Quarterly is billed every three months; an advertised monthly equivalent is not necessarily the amount charged at checkout. Prices vary by location and can change at checkout, so check QuillBot’s official pricing page and the final amount before paying.
- A QuillBot account: Use your existing account or sign up with an email address and password, or with Google, Facebook, or Apple sign-in. QuillBot’s Free sign-up does not require a card.
- A Coinepay account and card: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Coinepay issues a virtual card with a card number, expiry date, and CVV, which you can access through its dashboard or mobile app.
- Enough available funds: Check the checkout total and your available card funds before submitting payment. If you need details about funding, applicable charges, or card controls, check the Coinepay app or contact Coinepay support.
- Your real billing details: Enter your own name and accurate billing information. If you are unsure which billing address is associated with your card, confirm it in Coinepay before attempting checkout.
QuillBot lists credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal for website payments, but that list alone does not confirm acceptance of every virtual card. If QuillBot’s checkout shows a card-type or country requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before buying. Availability and payment checks may also depend on your location; do not enter a different address or location to try to bypass them.
How to subscribe on QuillBot’s website
- Sign in to QuillBot. On QuillBot’s website, use the profile icon at the top right to sign up or log in. Check that you are using the account on which you want Premium activated.
- Open Upgrade. Go to QuillBot’s Upgrade page and choose the individual Premium option. If you need subscriptions for several people, review the separate Team Plan instead.
- Choose a billing cycle. Select Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual. Read the displayed billing frequency and total rather than relying only on a per-month comparison.
- Select card payment. At checkout, choose the card option. Retrieve your virtual card number, expiry date, and CVV from your Coinepay dashboard or app, and enter them in the corresponding fields.
- Review the billing details. Use your real name and the billing details associated with your card. Check the currency, payable total, and renewal terms shown by QuillBot. Where a local currency is not supported, QuillBot says a card payment may be processed in USD; a conversion or international-transaction charge may also apply. The checkout screen is the place to verify what you are being asked to pay.
- Complete any required verification. Submit the payment and follow any security prompt that appears. Do not close a verification window before it finishes. Then wait for QuillBot’s confirmation and check that Premium appears on the account you used to purchase it.
If you are buying a Team Plan rather than individual Premium, QuillBot’s flow asks you to sign in, select seats, enter the requested details, and choose Review & Pay before paying by card or PayPal. Review the seat count and total carefully: the individual steps above are for a single Premium subscription.
What to do if the card is declined
A decline does not, by itself, identify the cause. Avoid repeatedly submitting the same payment without checking the details first. QuillBot identifies insufficient funds, issuer security restrictions, fraud filters, and restrictions on international or recurring payments as possible reasons a payment may fail. Work through the checks below in order.
Check the available funds and checkout total
Compare the amount QuillBot is attempting to charge with the funds available for the card. For Quarterly or Annual billing, check the amount due for the whole billing period, not the monthly equivalent displayed on a pricing page. The final total may differ from an earlier price display because prices depend on location. If you see a charge or hold but do not have Premium access, do not assume the subscription activated: QuillBot notes that a temporary bank hold can appear after a failed purchase. Check QuillBot’s account status and payment history before trying again.
Check the card and billing information
Re-enter the card number, expiry date, and CVV carefully. Make sure your name and billing address are accurate and consistent with the details associated with the card. If you cannot confirm the correct billing address in Coinepay, ask Coinepay support rather than guessing. A merchant’s billing checks may reject a mismatch even when the card has sufficient funds.
Complete any security verification
If a 3-D Secure or similar card-verification prompt appears, follow its instructions and wait for a result. A prompt that is closed, expires, or cannot be completed can interrupt checkout. If no prompt appears, do not assume verification was unnecessary or successful. Check the Coinepay app for relevant card activity and contact support if you need help understanding a verification failure. QuillBot also recommends checking with the card provider about security restrictions or blocked recurring and international payments.
Check merchant region or card requirements
A payment may fail if QuillBot’s checkout applies a location or card-eligibility check. Use your actual country and billing details; changing them to another location is not a solution. If QuillBot displays a requirement about accepted card types or card countries, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets that requirement before you buy. You can also ask QuillBot support whether your location and selected purchase are eligible. QuillBot’s listed PayPal option is a separate checkout route; its guidance says an existing PayPal balance alone cannot fund the recurring subscription payment.
If the problem remains, note the time, attempted amount, and any message displayed at checkout. Share only the information each support team needs to investigate; never send your full card number or CVV in a support message. Ask QuillBot about the subscription or checkout result and Coinepay support about the card transaction.
Check your plan and manage renewal
After payment, open QuillBot’s profile icon → Account Details → Your Plan. This section shows your plan type and next billing or end date. Under Your Plan, the pencil icon beside payment information lets you update the payment method; Payment History is where you can view and download invoices. If you paid but Premium does not appear, first confirm you are signed in to the purchasing account, then check your plan and payment status before submitting another order.
QuillBot website subscriptions renew automatically unless you disable renewal. To cancel a website subscription, go to Account Details → Your Plan → Cancel subscription; QuillBot says Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. Review QuillBot’s current refund policy before purchasing: it says refunds are issued only where required by law and notes a 14-day withdrawal right for EEA and UK consumers.
These website steps do not manage a subscription bought through QuillBot’s iOS or Android app. In-app purchases use the app’s Subscription section, with payment, cancellation, and mobile refunds handled through the relevant Apple or Google store. If your goal is to enter your Coinepay virtual card directly at QuillBot checkout, use the website purchase flow described above.
