pCloud is a cloud storage and backup service with free and paid plans. If you want to pay for a paid tier without reaching for your everyday bank card, a Coinepay virtual card gives you an instant card number, expiry date and CVV you can use at the pCloud checkout. This guide walks through what you need, how to subscribe step by step, and what to do if a payment is declined.
Before you start: what you need
- A verified Coinepay account. You must register and complete identity verification (KYC) before you can use card services. You can manage everything from the Coinepay dashboard or the mobile app for iOS and Android.
- A Coinepay virtual card with enough available balance to cover the plan you choose, plus any currency conversion your card issuer may apply.
- Your real billing details. pCloud, like most merchants, may run address and 3-D Secure checks, so use the name and billing address that match your Coinepay account.
- A pCloud account (free Basic is fine to start with).
Services related to virtual assets are not available to residents of mainland China, and some services are not available in every jurisdiction. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions.
pCloud plans and prices
pCloud offers a free Basic tier that starts at 2 GB and can unlock up to 10 GB through account activities. Paid individual tiers are Premium 500 GB, Premium Plus 2 TB and Ultra 10 TB, each available monthly, annually or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. There are also Family plans (up to five accounts) and team tiers, Business (1 TB per user) and Business Pro (2 TB per user).
At the time of writing (October 2026), USD prices shown on the pCloud pricing page in Premium / Premium Plus / Ultra order were monthly $4.99 / $9.99 / $29.99, annual $49.99 / $99.99 / $299.99 (paid yearly), and Lifetime $219 / $499 / $1,499 one-time. Prices vary by region and currency and can change, so always confirm the current amount on the official pCloud pricing page before you buy.
pCloud charges EUR for European users, GBP for UK users and USD for users outside Europe. If your Coinepay card is billed in a different currency, your card issuer may apply a conversion. A September 2026 change gave new paid individual plans monthly shared-link traffic equal to twice their storage; Lifetime plans bought before September 2026 do not get that increase unless topped up.
Step 1: Create or sign in to your pCloud account
Register on the pCloud website or app. Registration creates a Basic account and sends a verification email. pCloud says unverified Basic accounts are scheduled for deletion after 30 days, so confirm your email before you continue.
Step 2: Pick your plan and billing period
Open the pCloud pricing page, switch between the monthly, annual and Lifetime tabs, and choose the tier you want. Check that the currency and total shown are what you expect for your region before moving on. When you are ready, select Get Now on your chosen plan.
Step 3: Create your Coinepay virtual card
- Open the Coinepay app or dashboard and create a virtual card.
- Note the card number, expiry date and CVV shown instantly after issuance.
- Make sure the card has enough balance for the plan total, including any possible conversion. A recurring plan will try to charge again at renewal, so keep the card funded if you want it to auto-renew.
Step 4: Enter card details at pCloud checkout
pCloud lists major credit and debit cards, PayPal (with a linked card) and, in selected regions, Alipay as website payment methods; mobile purchases go through Google Play or Apple's App Store. To pay directly with your Coinepay card, choose the card option and enter:
- The 16-digit card number from Coinepay.
- The expiry date and CVV.
- Your billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account.
If a 3-D Secure prompt appears, approve it through the method tied to your Coinepay card. After the charge succeeds, pCloud activates your plan. pCloud's terms state that subscribing authorizes a charge to your selected payment method.
pCloud does not publish a complete, guaranteed list of accepted card brands, and no merchant can promise in advance that a specific card will be accepted. If you want to confirm your Coinepay card meets a requirement before you buy, contact Coinepay support.
Step 5: Keep your receipt and manage the subscription
For individual subscriptions and card updates, use Manage Subscriptions. For invoice details, sign in and open My profile → Settings → Payment History → Update My Invoice Information. Business customers manage invoices and subscription settings under Business → Billing; switching between PayPal and a card for Business requires cancelling, waiting for the paid period to end, and re-subscribing.
Troubleshooting: common card-declined causes
Insufficient balance
A virtual card only works if it holds enough to cover the full charge plus any conversion. Top up in the Coinepay app and retry. For annual or Lifetime plans the amount is larger than monthly, so check the total first.
Billing address or name mismatch
If the name or address you typed does not match your Coinepay account details, the payment may be refused. Re-enter them to match exactly and try again.
3-D Secure not completed
If the verification step is cancelled or times out, the charge fails. Start again and complete the prompt promptly.
Currency and region checks
pCloud bills in EUR, GBP or USD depending on your region, and its terms prohibit use contrary to applicable export controls or sanctions, explicitly naming Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria as examples. A full country-by-country payment availability list is not published. Storage-region choice (EU or US data region) is separate from billing-country availability, and region selection is not available in every country.
Communication or temporary errors
Some users have reported a "Communication Error" at checkout and a temporary halt after repeated attempts. If you hit this, avoid retrying many times in a row; wait, confirm your card details, and if it persists contact pCloud support. You can also check your Coinepay transaction history to see whether an authorization was placed.
If it still won't go through
Confirm the charge was not actually completed, then try a fresh Coinepay card or reach out to Coinepay support or via Telegram. pCloud support can confirm merchant-side issues.
Cancellation and refunds
Card and PayPal subscribers can cancel through my.pcloud.com → account avatar → Manage Subscription → Cancel; Apple and Google subscribers cancel through their stores. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps access through the paid period, but it is not itself a refund request. pCloud's terms provide a 14-calendar-day money-back period from payment that requires an explicit written refund request; it says eligible full refunds are processed within 30 calendar days after confirmation. Unused days are not otherwise refunded, and pCloud reserves the right to decline refunds on promotional or discounted purchases. If you paid with a Coinepay card, any approved refund is returned to that card.

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card to pay for pCloud?
You can enter a Coinepay virtual card's number, expiry and CVV at the pCloud card checkout. pCloud does not publish a guaranteed accepted-card list and no merchant can promise acceptance in advance, so make sure your card is funded and your billing details match. To confirm your card meets any requirement, contact Coinepay support before you buy.
Which pCloud plans can I pay for this way?
You can pay for individual tiers Premium 500 GB, Premium Plus 2 TB and Ultra 10 TB on monthly, annual or one-time Lifetime billing, as well as Family and Business plans. Prices vary by region and currency, so check pCloud's official pricing page for the current amount.
Why was my pCloud card payment declined?
Common causes are insufficient card balance, a billing name or address that does not match your card account, an incomplete 3-D Secure step, or a temporary checkout error. Fix the detail in question and retry; if a 'Communication Error' appears, wait rather than retrying many times, and contact support if it continues.
What currency will pCloud charge my card in?
pCloud charges EUR for European users, GBP for UK users and USD for everyone else. If your Coinepay card is denominated in a different currency, your card issuer may apply a conversion, so check your Coinepay app for the final amount.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my pCloud subscription?
Cancelling stops the next renewal but is not itself a refund. pCloud's terms offer a 14-calendar-day money-back period from payment that requires a written refund request; eligible full refunds are processed within 30 days. Promotional or discounted purchases may be excluded. Approved refunds go back to the Coinepay card you paid with.
