You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at Cdiscount checkout when paying for an eligible purchase or signing up for Cdiscount à volonté. Whether a particular payment is accepted depends on Cdiscount’s checkout requirements and payment checks. This guide covers the consumer shopping and subscription flows, including what to check before a trial or renewal charge.

What you need before paying

  • A Coinepay account and card: Register and complete identity verification before using card services. Coinepay provides a virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, which you can access through its self-service dashboard or mobile app.
  • Enough available funds: Allow for the full purchase amount or applicable subscription charge. A Cdiscount à volonté trial also involves a card authorization for the subscription price at sign-up, even though the trial charge comes later.
  • Your real account details: Use your own identity, delivery address and billing information. Check that the details you enter at checkout match those associated with your payment method.
  • An eligible order or subscription: Review the delivery destination, item conditions and payment options shown at Cdiscount checkout. Subscription benefits and available payment methods are not necessarily the same as those for a one-time purchase.

If you have not set up a card, register with Coinepay and complete the required verification first. Check the Coinepay app or contact Coinepay support if you need to confirm any card details or service availability before placing an order.

How to pay for a Cdiscount purchase

  1. Sign in or create a Cdiscount customer account. On Cdiscount.com, select the products you want, add them to your basket and proceed to checkout. Use an address where the order can legitimately be delivered.
  2. Review the basket. Check the seller, item price, delivery cost, delivery address and final payable amount. If Cdiscount à volonté is offered alongside the purchase, decide whether you want the separate annual subscription before proceeding.
  3. Choose an appropriate card-payment option. Cdiscount lists bank-card payments among its shopping methods, alongside other options such as PayPal and Apple Pay. The options offered for your order may differ. Do not select an instalment or financing option unless you have checked its separate eligibility terms.
  4. Enter your Coinepay card details. Retrieve the card number, expiry date and CVV from Coinepay. Enter your real billing information as requested, then check the total again before submitting.
  5. Complete any payment verification. If checkout prompts you to authenticate the transaction, follow the instructions presented. Wait for Cdiscount’s order confirmation rather than assuming that submitting the card details completed the purchase.

If the order does not complete, first check its status in your Cdiscount account. Avoid submitting the same order repeatedly while an earlier payment or order remains pending. If a card transaction is shown in Coinepay but Cdiscount has not confirmed the order, keep the transaction and order details available when contacting support.

How to sign up for Cdiscount à volonté

Cdiscount à volonté, also called CDAV, is Cdiscount’s annual consumer subscription, not a required tier for ordinary shopping. At the time of writing (October 2026), the public offer in France shows a six-day free trial followed by €29.00 per year. Check the official Cdiscount à volonté page and the price displayed when you order: the applicable subscription price is the one shown at checkout. The “Famille” sharing benefit is a feature of the subscription, not a separate paid tier.

  1. Check trial eligibility. To qualify for the displayed six-day trial as a new subscriber, you must order another product at the same time and must not have used a CDAV trial during the preceding 12 months. Read the offer shown in your basket if either condition may affect you.
  2. Select “Devenir membre.” On the Cdiscount à volonté page, use that control to add the subscription to your basket, then validate checkout with your product order if you are seeking the trial.
  3. Review the subscription terms and card charge. The CDAV terms provide for an authorization hold for the subscription price at sign-up. If that authorization fails, the subscription does not take effect. For an eligible trial, the terms provide for the subscription charge on the sixth day after sign-up unless you end the trial in time.
  4. Enter your card and complete checkout. Use your Coinepay virtual card details where Cdiscount requests a bank card. Check the subscription price, any product-order total and the payment information before confirming. Keep the resulting Cdiscount confirmation for your records.

CDAV renews annually unless you stop it. Cdiscount says it emails a renewal reminder no later than 31 days before renewal and charges an authorized card saved in the customer account. Keep that card’s status and available funds in mind if you intend to remain subscribed. Card-payment terms for CDAV should not be inferred from the wider list of payment methods offered for shopping orders.

Card restrictions and regional eligibility

Cdiscount’s four-instalment purchase option has stricter conditions than an ordinary one-time purchase. Its terms require the cardholder’s Visa or Mastercard to remain valid beyond the final payment and exclude Electron, Maestro, e-cards, Indigo and American Express. Approval by Cnova Pay is also required. Because this restriction specifically includes e-cards, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets the four-instalment requirements before choosing that option. These exclusions should not be treated as a blanket rule for all Cdiscount checkouts or CDAV payments. Four-instalment eligibility is also restricted to adult individuals tax-resident in metropolitan France.

CDAV’s eligible free-delivery destinations include metropolitan France, Belgium and Luxembourg; that benefit is not stated for Italy, Germany or Spain. Benefits can differ by country. Check the terms shown for your real account and delivery location rather than changing your details to try to qualify for another region’s offer.

What to do if Cdiscount refuses your card

A refusal message does not, by itself, identify the cause. Customers have reported wording equivalent to “payment refused” or “the payment partner refused your payment request for the bank details submitted.” Use the checkout message, your Cdiscount order status and any information available in Coinepay to narrow down the issue:

  • Insufficient available funds: Compare your card’s available funds with the entire checkout amount, including delivery. For CDAV, account for the subscription-price authorization at sign-up, even if you expect an eligible trial. Check the balance again before a later subscription charge or annual renewal.
  • Billing-detail mismatch: Recheck the card number, expiry date and CVV for typing errors. Enter your genuine name and billing address consistently with your records; correct an outdated address through the relevant account or support process rather than supplying an invented one.
  • Authentication did not finish: If a 3-D Secure or other verification prompt appears, complete it as instructed. A closed, expired or unsuccessful prompt may require you to start the checkout again. If you cannot complete the prompt, ask Coinepay support what to check for that transaction.
  • Merchant, region or payment-option checks: Confirm that Cdiscount offers the selected method for your order and location. A financing refusal is different from a standard card-payment refusal: four-instalment purchases need Cnova Pay approval, while Floa-financed orders can be cancelled after a refusal or missing required documents. Choose only an option for which you genuinely qualify.

If the issue persists, contact Cdiscount about the order or subscription status and Coinepay support about the card transaction. Share the time, amount and exact error wording, but do not send your full card number or CVV in an ordinary support message. Neither service can confirm the cause solely from a generic refusal notice.

Manage renewal or cancel the trial

To end a CDAV trial, go to “Cdiscount à volonté” → “Se désabonner” in your Cdiscount customer account, or contact Cdiscount customer service by the day before the trial ends. The CDAV terms say an interrupted trial is not charged. If you want to avoid annual renewal, use your account or contact customer service by the day before the subscription anniversary. Stopping renewal outside the withdrawal right takes effect at the end of the paid period and does not refund that period.

The terms also allow withdrawal from CDAV within 14 days of sign-up through the account or in writing; they state that Cdiscount refunds the subscription price within up to 72 hours. Check the current terms for how to exercise that right. In account settings, “Mes informations personnelles” → “Mes cartes bancaires” contains a control to disable a saved card for CDAV renewal. Disabling a card is not the same as cancelling the subscription; use the cancellation process if you intend to stop it. Account navigation also lists “Mes paiements” and “Mon abonnement à volonté” for reviewing payment and subscription information.

FAQ

Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for Cdiscount à volonté?

You can enter its card details where Cdiscount requests a bank card, but acceptance of a particular payment is not assured. Cdiscount authorizes the subscription price at sign-up; if authorization fails, the subscription does not take effect.

Why do I see a card authorization during the CDAV free trial?

Cdiscount’s terms provide for an authorization hold for the subscription price at sign-up. For an eligible trial, they provide for the subscription charge on the sixth day after sign-up.

Can I use a virtual card for Cdiscount’s four-instalment option?

That option excludes e-cards and has other card and eligibility requirements. Contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets those requirements before choosing it; the restriction does not automatically apply to ordinary checkout.

How do I stop Cdiscount à volonté from renewing?

Use the cancellation option in your Cdiscount account or contact Cdiscount customer service by the day before your subscription anniversary. Disabling a saved card for renewal is not the same as cancelling.
