To send money from abroad to a Vodafone Cash wallet in Egypt, start a Coinepay Global Remittance transfer and look for Vodafone Cash as a mobile-wallet payout option. You will need the recipient’s registered Egyptian mobile number and full name exactly as registered on the wallet. Before confirming, check the recipient details, the exchange rate, fees and estimated arrival time shown in the Coinepay app.

Confirm that Vodafone Cash is the right wallet

Vodafone Cash, also called VF Cash, is an Egyptian mobile wallet. The recipient receives wallet funds in Egyptian pounds (EGP). Ask the recipient to confirm that they have an active Vodafone Cash wallet registered to their Egyptian mobile number. A bank-account number or IBAN is not the identifier for this wallet payout.

Country and provider names matter. If your recipient is in Ghana, the service is now called Telecel Cash, not Vodafone Cash. Do not select Egypt or its Vodafone Cash option for a Ghanaian recipient. Check the destination and the provider displayed in Coinepay’s live transfer flow; if you cannot identify the correct payout option, contact Coinepay support before sending.

Mobile-wallet options can depend on the destination and the transfer shown in your account. The steps below apply when the Coinepay app offers Vodafone Cash for an Egypt transfer. If it is not listed, do not substitute a different wallet or a bank deposit without first agreeing on that payout method with the recipient.

Get the recipient details before you start

Ask the recipient for the following information directly, rather than copying it from an old transfer or an informal contact listing:

  • Registered mobile number: the Egyptian phone number linked to the active Vodafone Cash wallet. Enter it in the format requested by Coinepay’s number field; do not guess whether to add or remove a country code or leading digit.
  • Full registered name: the recipient’s real name exactly as recorded for the wallet. Ask them to check spelling and name order if there is any doubt.
  • Wallet readiness: confirmation that the wallet is active and able to receive the intended amount under its current transaction and balance limits.

The recipient does not need to give you their wallet PIN. Vodafone Cash customers use a PIN to access wallet functions; a sender should never request it. Use your real identity and accurate recipient information throughout the transfer. A wrong phone number could send money to another wallet holder, and recovering a completed payout may be difficult.

Send to Vodafone Cash with Coinepay

  1. Sign in or register. Open the Coinepay mobile app or 24/7 self-service dashboard. If you are new to Coinepay, register and complete any identity verification requested for the transfer.
  2. Start a Global Remittance transfer. Choose the option to send money internationally, then select Egypt as the destination. Follow the on-screen prompts for the amount and any other required transfer information.
  3. Choose the payout method. Select mobile wallet and choose Vodafone Cash if it appears among the available options. Check that the destination remains Egypt; do not assume a similarly named option in another country reaches the same wallet.
  4. Enter the recipient details. Provide the registered Egyptian mobile number and the recipient’s full name exactly as registered. Follow the number field’s formatting instructions. Recheck every digit with the recipient before proceeding.
  5. Review the transfer. Coinepay shows the exchange rate and fees before you confirm. Check the amount the recipient is expected to receive in EGP, the selected wallet, the recipient’s name and number, and the estimated arrival time. If the details or quote are not what you intended, go back and correct them rather than confirming.
  6. Confirm and track. Confirm the transfer in Coinepay, then use its status tracking to follow progress. Keep the transfer ID or reference available in case you need help.

Transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may ask for documents explaining the transfer’s purpose or source of funds. Complete any such request through the appropriate Coinepay channel; do not send money through someone else or split a transfer to avoid a review.

How the recipient receives the money

When a Vodafone Cash payout is completed, the money is credited to the recipient’s registered wallet in EGP. Ask the recipient to check their Vodafone Cash balance or wallet activity using their usual Vodafone Cash access method. They can then use the wallet balance or ask Vodafone Cash about authorised ways to withdraw it. A withdrawal, if they choose one, is a separate wallet action and may have its own conditions.

A sender-side confirmation and a visible wallet credit are not always the same event. If Coinepay shows the transfer as pending, continue to follow its status. If it shows the transfer as delivered but the recipient cannot see the funds, ask them to verify the registered number and check their wallet activity before contacting support with the transfer reference. Transfers can arrive in as little as 10 minutes, but the actual delivery time depends on the payout method and destination country. Use the estimated arrival time shown in the app before confirmation rather than assuming an immediate credit.

Check the recipient’s wallet limits and registration

Vodafone Cash has transaction and wallet-balance limits that may affect whether a payment can be received. The recipient’s remaining capacity matters as well as the amount you intend to send: earlier transactions or money already held in the wallet can leave less room for another credit. Ask the recipient to check their current limits and wallet balance with Vodafone Cash before a substantial transfer. Do not rely on a limit quoted for another provider or for Ghana’s Telecel Cash.

Wallet registration matters, too. Vodafone describes registration using a national ID at a Vodafone store or exclusive dealer, followed by activation with a six-digit PIN. The wallet must be associated with the recipient’s own registered mobile number. If the recipient has not completed registration or activation, ask them to resolve that with Vodafone Cash before you initiate a wallet payout. Do not assume that a domestic Vodafone Cash feature for sending to a number without a registered wallet applies to an international remittance.

Troubleshoot a delayed or unsuccessful payout

  • Wrong phone number: If you notice an error before confirmation, correct it immediately. If you have already confirmed, check the transfer status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer ID. A transfer already delivered to the wrong number may be difficult to recover.
  • Name mismatch: Compare the name you entered with the recipient’s registered wallet name, including spelling and order. If Coinepay requests a correction or review, follow its instructions; do not enter a different person’s details to force a match.
  • Wallet limit reached: Ask the recipient to check their remaining transaction allowance and available wallet-balance capacity with Vodafone Cash. If the wallet cannot receive the transfer, check its status and ask Coinepay support what happens next rather than assuming it will be credited later.
  • Unverified or inactive wallet: Have the recipient confirm that the number is registered to an active Vodafone Cash wallet and complete any required steps directly with Vodafone Cash. Vodafone lists 7001 for its Cash support.
  • Compliance review or provider delay: Check Coinepay’s status tracking and respond to any legitimate request for identity or supporting documents. If the displayed status or estimated arrival time calls for follow-up, give Coinepay support the transfer reference and a clear description of the issue.

Before trying again after a failed or uncertain payout, confirm what happened to the original transfer. Sending a second payment while the first remains in progress could result in two payments. For app access, you can use Coinepay on iOS or Android.

FAQ

Which country and currency should I choose for Vodafone Cash?

Choose Egypt. Vodafone Cash is an Egyptian wallet, and the recipient receives wallet funds in Egyptian pounds (EGP). Ghana’s service is called Telecel Cash.

Do I need the recipient’s bank account number?

No. For a Vodafone Cash wallet payout, use the Egyptian mobile number registered to the active wallet and the recipient’s full name exactly as registered. Follow Coinepay’s phone-number field instructions.

What if Vodafone Cash is not available as a payout option?

Do not choose a different provider just because its name looks similar. Check that Egypt is selected and contact Coinepay support if Vodafone Cash is not listed.

What should I do if I entered the wrong wallet number?

Correct it before confirming. If the transfer has already been confirmed, check its status and contact Coinepay support immediately with the transfer ID; a completed payout may be difficult to recover.

Why has the recipient not received the transfer?

Check Coinepay’s transfer status and ask the recipient to confirm the registered number, active wallet and available wallet capacity. A name mismatch, compliance review or provider delay may also require follow-up with Coinepay support.
