Ooredoo m-Faisaa is a mobile wallet used in the Maldives. If you want to send money to someone’s m-Faisaa account from abroad, first check whether Coinepay offers it as a payout option for the Maldives. Ooredoo’s published international-transfer instructions describe sending money from m-Faisaa to other countries; they do not establish that ordinary overseas transfers can be received into m-Faisaa. Do not confirm a transfer unless the Coinepay app explicitly offers the intended payout method and shows the correct recipient details.
Check the destination and wallet before you start
The destination country for an m-Faisaa wallet is the Maldives, where the local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa (MVR). Do not assume that an inbound transfer will be paid into the wallet in MVR, or that a particular m-Faisaa pocket can receive it. Check the payout currency and amount shown in Coinepay before confirming, and ask the recipient to verify which wallet balance they expect to use.
There is an important distinction between two similarly named services. Ooredoo’s “Receiver Country’s Mobile Wallets” option is a way for an m-Faisaa user in the Maldives to send an international transfer to a wallet in another country. It is not evidence that m-Faisaa is available as a receiving wallet for someone sending to the Maldives. A transfer between two m-Faisaa holders within the Maldives is also a different transaction. Ooredoo has described a separate PayPal-to-m-Faisaa receiving service, but that does not establish support for general inbound mobile-wallet remittances.
If m-Faisaa does not appear among Coinepay’s available Maldives payout options, do not choose another wallet provider and assume the money will reach m-Faisaa. Ask the recipient whether another payout method shown in the app, such as bank deposit or cash pickup, would work for them. You can also contact Coinepay support to check the available route before sending.
Get the recipient’s details
Ask the recipient for the phone number registered to their m-Faisaa wallet, including the international dialing code, and their full name exactly as registered on the wallet and identification document. If the Coinepay transfer form requests a wallet account ID instead of, or in addition to, a phone number, have the recipient confirm that ID in their own account. Enter only the fields the selected payout method requests; do not substitute an Ooredoo contact number or an ordinary phone number that is not linked to the intended wallet.
Confirm the spelling and order of the recipient’s name directly with them. A nickname, abbreviated surname or number belonging to someone else can lead to a mismatch or misdirected payment. The recipient should also check that their m-Faisaa account is active and able to receive the type of payment you intend to send. Do not ask them to share a password, mPIN or verification code with you.
Ooredoo says opening an m-Faisaa wallet requires valid identification and that the holder must be at least 18; it also says tourists cannot open a wallet. Ooredoo publishes Silver and Gold wallet levels with different sending allowances, and its materials refer to wallet limits. Those published sending allowances should not be treated as confirmed inbound limits for a Coinepay payout. Ask the recipient to check their current verification status and applicable receiving capacity with m-Faisaa before you send a large payment.
Send the transfer in Coinepay, if m-Faisaa is offered
- Open Coinepay. Register if you are new, then complete the identity verification requested for your transfer. You can manage transfers through the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
- Choose the destination. Start a cross-border transfer and select the Maldives as the recipient’s country. Review the payout methods actually displayed for that destination.
- Select the wallet. Choose Ooredoo m-Faisaa only if it is explicitly listed as an available mobile-wallet payout method. Do not choose a generic wallet option unless the transfer flow identifies m-Faisaa as the receiving provider.
- Enter the recipient details. Provide the registered mobile number with its international dialing code, or the account ID if requested, and the recipient’s full registered name. Complete any other fields the app requires, using accurate information.
- Review the quote. Check the payout method, recipient, destination, amount the recipient is shown to receive, exchange rate and fees displayed in the app. The rate and fees are shown before you confirm. If the payout currency or recipient details are not what you expected, stop and resolve the discrepancy first.
- Confirm and track. Confirm only when everything matches. Keep the transfer reference and follow its status in Coinepay. If Coinepay requests further information, respond through its official support or app channels.
Coinepay transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may request documents about the purpose or source of funds. Availability depends on the destination and payout method shown in the app; Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions.
How the recipient checks for the money
Once Coinepay marks a supported wallet payout as delivered, the recipient should open their m-Faisaa app and check the relevant wallet balance and transaction history. They can also check for any notification associated with the incoming payment. A sender-side confirmation alone is not a substitute for the recipient checking their account: ask them to verify the amount actually credited before treating the payment as received.
If the transfer is still processing, use Coinepay’s status tracking rather than asking the recipient to make repeated account changes. Transfers can arrive in as little as 10 minutes; the actual time depends on the payout method and destination country. Check the estimated arrival time shown in the Coinepay app before confirmation. If the transfer is marked delivered but the recipient cannot find it, retain the reference and contact Coinepay support. The recipient may also need to contact m-Faisaa Customer Care to check their wallet.
Troubleshoot a rejected or missing payout
Wrong phone number or account ID
Compare the number or ID in the transfer record with the recipient’s registered wallet details, including the international dialing code. If you have not confirmed the transfer, correct it before proceeding. If you have confirmed it, contact Coinepay support promptly with the reference. Do not assume you can edit the destination after submission or recover a payment that has already been delivered.
Name mismatch
Ask the recipient to confirm their full name as registered with m-Faisaa and on their identification. If the transfer is pending or rejected, give the accurate details to Coinepay support and follow its instructions. Do not alter someone’s identity details simply to make a transfer pass a check.
Wallet limit reached or wallet not verified
The recipient should check their current wallet level, verification status and any applicable receiving restrictions with m-Faisaa. An inactive or insufficiently verified wallet may not be able to accept a payment, and capacity can depend on the provider’s rules. Do not split a transfer to work around a limit. Ask Coinepay support whether the transfer can be resolved or whether a different, available payout method is needed.
Compliance review or delayed status
Check the transfer status and any requests in Coinepay. Be ready to provide accurate identification or documents explaining the purpose or source of funds if requested. Screening and local requirements can delay or prevent a payout. If the recipient’s wallet appears suspended or inaccessible, they should contact m-Faisaa Customer Care directly; Ooredoo’s terms note that expired identification or repeated incorrect mPIN entries can affect account access.
For a transfer that cannot be completed, ask Coinepay support about its status and available next steps rather than sending a duplicate. Keep the transfer reference, the quoted recipient details and any messages from the app so the issue can be investigated.

FAQ
Can I send directly from Coinepay to an Ooredoo m-Faisaa wallet?
Only proceed if Ooredoo m-Faisaa is explicitly offered as a Maldives mobile-wallet payout option in the Coinepay app. Ooredoo’s published outbound transfer instructions do not confirm general inbound wallet support.
What information do I need from the m-Faisaa recipient?
Get their full name exactly as registered and their registered phone number with the international dialing code. If the transfer form requests a wallet account ID or other details, confirm those directly with the recipient.
What currency does m-Faisaa use?
m-Faisaa is used in the Maldives, where the local currency is MVR. Check the payout currency and amount displayed for the specific transfer; do not assume which wallet pocket an inbound payment would reach.
What should I do if the recipient does not see the payment?
Check the transfer status in Coinepay and ask the recipient to check their m-Faisaa balance and transaction history. If the payout is marked delivered but is missing, contact Coinepay support with the transfer reference.
