You can send money to Kazakhstan with Coinepay Global Remittance. Before you start, ask the recipient how they want to receive the money and collect their details exactly as recorded by their bank or payout provider. This guide covers Kazakhstan bank deposits, mobile-wallet payouts where offered in the transfer flow, and cash pickup.
What you need before sending
- A verified Coinepay account. Register and complete identity verification before using the transfer service. You can manage transfers in the Coinepay app or 24/7 self-service dashboard.
- The recipient’s full legal name. Use the name on their bank account, wallet registration or identity document, as appropriate for the payout method. Check the spelling and name order with the recipient.
- Payout details. For a bank deposit, ask for the account or IBAN and the receiving bank’s details. For a wallet payout, confirm the registered mobile number or other identifier requested in the transfer flow. For cash pickup, confirm the recipient’s name as it appears on their identification.
- The purpose of the transfer. Be ready to describe it accurately. Coinepay may request supporting documents, including information about the purpose or source of funds.
Kazakhstan’s local currency is the tenge (KZT). Choose from the destination currencies and payout methods displayed for your transfer. Before confirming, check what currency the recipient will receive and whether their account or wallet can accept it.
Choose a payout method for Kazakhstan
Bank-account deposit
Choose bank deposit when the recipient wants the funds sent to a Kazakhstan bank account. Ask them to obtain their receiving instructions from their bank, particularly if the transfer involves a currency other than tenge. The instructions may include the account-holder name, IBAN, bank name and address, and the bank’s SWIFT/BIC or local bank code (BIK). Some banks also provide currency-specific correspondent-bank instructions. Enter only the fields requested in Coinepay’s transfer flow, using the recipient bank’s current instructions rather than a code found in an old payment record.
A Kazakhstan IBAN has 20 characters: it begins with KZ, followed by two check digits, a three-digit bank identifier and 13 further account characters. Enter it without spaces when completing an electronic payment form. For example, the National Bank lists SWIFT/BIC codes CASPKZKA for Kaspi Bank, HSBKKZKX for Halyk Bank and KCJBKZKX for Bank CenterCredit. These are examples, not a substitute for checking the code supplied by your recipient’s bank.
Some receiving instructions ask for additional recipient information. Kaspi Bank’s published SWIFT instructions, for example, request the recipient’s IIN (individual identification number). If a required field or detail is unclear, ask the recipient to confirm it with their bank before you send. IFSC, CLABE and a US-style routing number are not Kazakhstan bank-account identifiers; do not put one in an IBAN or bank-code field.
Mobile-wallet payout
Coinepay supports mobile-wallet payouts as a remittance method. If a wallet option is offered when you set up your Kazakhstan transfer, select the provider shown in the live flow and ask the recipient for the exact wallet identifier it requests, such as the mobile number registered to that wallet. Confirm that the recipient’s wallet is active and can receive the selected currency. Do not substitute a bank-account number or an unrelated phone number for the wallet identifier. Wallet providers available for a particular transfer can vary, so use the options displayed in Coinepay rather than assuming a specific Kazakhstan wallet is available.
Cash pickup
Cash pickup is another Coinepay remittance payout method. If it appears as an option for your Kazakhstan transfer, check the pickup instructions shown before confirming, including any displayed collection location requirements. The recipient generally needs valid identification matching the name you entered and any transfer reference or collection details provided for that payout. Share collection information only with the intended recipient. They should follow the instructions for the specific pickup provider shown in the transfer details rather than assuming that any cash-pickup agent can release the funds.
How to send money to Kazakhstan step by step
- Sign in to your verified account. Open the Coinepay app or dashboard and start a Global Remittance transfer. If you have not registered, you can create a Coinepay account and complete identity verification first.
- Choose Kazakhstan as the destination. Enter the amount and select from the currencies and payout methods available in the transfer flow. Check the recipient’s preference before choosing the receiving currency.
- Enter the recipient’s details. Use their full legal name and complete the fields for the selected payout method. For a bank deposit, compare the IBAN and bank code against instructions provided directly by the recipient. For a wallet or cash pickup, verify the registered identifier or identification name.
- Review the transfer. Check the recipient details, destination, receiving currency, exchange rate and fees shown by Coinepay before you confirm. If something is wrong, go back and correct it rather than relying on a change after submission.
- Confirm and track. Submit the transfer only when the details are correct. Follow its status in the Coinepay app or dashboard, and keep the transfer reference handy if you need help.
You can manage transfers from the Coinepay iOS app or Coinepay Android app. Make sure the recipient understands whether they should watch their bank account or wallet, or follow cash-pickup instructions.
Recipient-side checks and transfer requirements
A recipient bank or payout provider may need to verify the recipient’s identity, confirm the purpose of the payment or request documents before releasing funds. A bank account may also have its own rules for incoming foreign-currency payments. Ask the recipient to confirm the appropriate receiving instructions with their bank, especially for a business payment or a transfer in a currency other than KZT.
For a business transfer, keep the invoice, contract and other relevant transaction records available. Requirements for trade payments can differ from those for personal transfers. Coinepay transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations; Coinepay may ask for documents about the purpose or source of funds. Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. Give accurate information and respond to any document request through the appropriate support channel.
Troubleshooting a Kazakhstan transfer
- Wrong recipient details: Check the transfer status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer reference. Explain exactly which field is wrong. A misspelled name or incorrect IBAN can cause a bank to reject and return a payment; a correction may not be possible after submission.
- Compliance review or a request for documents: Follow the request shown in your account or provided by support. Supply genuine, relevant information about the sender, recipient, purpose or source of funds. Do not send a replacement transfer to avoid a review.
- Transfer has not arrived: Check its tracked status first. Weekends, public holidays, the funding method, receiving-bank processing and requests for missing information can affect progress. Ask the recipient to check with their bank or payout provider using the available transfer details.
- Returned or rejected transfer: Review any reason shown in the status or provided by support before trying again. The receiving bank may reject a payment even if the entered details appear correct; the recipient may need to ask that bank why. Obtain corrected receiving instructions before starting a new transfer.
If you cannot identify the issue from the transfer status, contact Coinepay support with your transfer reference and the payout method you selected. Do not post the recipient’s IBAN, identity document or other sensitive information in a public message.
