Facetune is free to download, but its paid features require Facetune VIP, also called a premium subscription. You can start a subscription on Facetune’s website or in the mobile app. The payment steps—and who handles a declined charge—depend on which route you choose. This guide explains how to prepare a Coinepay virtual card, review the offer and complete checkout without losing track of your renewal.
What you need before subscribing
- A Coinepay account and virtual card: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Coinepay issues virtual cards with a card number, expiry date and CVV, which you can view in the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
- Enough available funds: Check the amount shown at Facetune checkout, including any applicable tax. Leave room for a charge in a different currency if conversion applies. Check the Coinepay app for your card’s applicable details and limits rather than assuming a particular amount will go through.
- Your real account and billing details: Use your actual residence and billing address. Facetune’s terms require the country of your declared residence to match the country of your billing address.
- Access to the account used for payment: Website subscriptions are managed through Facetune’s My Account area; app purchases are managed through Apple or Google Play. Keep track of which route you use.
Availability can depend on your location and the checkout presented to you. Facetune excludes residents of countries embargoed by the US from its services. Coinepay services also vary by jurisdiction; check the app or contact Coinepay support if you need to confirm availability before starting.
Choose a Facetune VIP offer
Facetune’s website lists Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly subscription plans and advertises a seven-day trial with full premium access. Its subscription policy also allows a Weekly option on web or in-app, while Quarterly is web-only. The options you actually see can vary by user and platform, so select from the offers displayed in your own checkout.
At the time of writing (October 2026), the US-dollar offers displayed on Facetune’s website were $25 per month for Monthly, $40 every three months for Quarterly and $77.99 per year for Yearly. These are displayed website offers, not guaranteed checkout totals. Check Facetune’s official pricing page and your final checkout for the current price, currency, tax, trial terms and first billing date. In particular, Quarterly’s $40 is billed every three months; a monthly equivalent shown in marketing is not a monthly charge.
Subscriptions renew automatically. If you begin a trial, note when it ends: Facetune’s policy says to cancel at least 48 hours before the trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge. Its website also says to cancel at least 48 hours before a renewal to avoid the next charge.
How to subscribe on the Facetune website
- Prepare your card. Sign in to the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app and locate your virtual card’s number, expiry date and CVV. Check that you have sufficient available funds for the checkout amount.
- Open Facetune’s official pricing page. Review the available Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly offers. Select the plan you want and choose Start free trial if that is the button shown for your offer. Read the on-screen terms before continuing; do not assume every account receives the same trial.
- Sign in or create your Facetune account. Facetune’s account page offers Google, email and Facebook sign-in, as well as Apple sign-in on iOS. Use an account you will be able to access later to manage the subscription.
- Complete the payment step shown to you. Website payment options depend on the checkout presented. If it offers card entry, enter your Coinepay card details and your genuine billing information. Check the displayed currency, total, any trial end date and recurring charge before confirming. If a verification prompt appears, follow its on-screen instructions.
- Keep the confirmation. After checkout, check your Facetune account for the subscription and retain any receipt. If you intend to use both the browser-based editor and the app, sign in to the same Facetune account; Facetune says an existing subscription covers both, although the web editor has a narrower toolset.
Facetune’s website can present payment methods supported by its checkout providers, which include Stripe, Adyen or PayPal. A card-entry option should be used only if it is offered to you; no particular merchant acceptance outcome can be assumed in advance.
What if you subscribe inside the Facetune app?
Download Facetune through the Apple App Store or Google Play, open the app and follow the premium subscription offer shown there. Review the plan, trial terms and total before approving the purchase. Apple or Google Play handles an in-app purchase, rather than Facetune’s website payment processor. If your store account permits you to add your Coinepay card as a payment method, follow that store’s payment setup and approval steps. A card that can be entered at a website checkout is not automatically accepted by either store.
Store offers can differ from website offers, and Quarterly is a web-only plan under Facetune’s policy. Keep the store receipt: the relevant Apple or Google subscription settings, not Facetune’s website billing controls, are where you manage an app-purchased subscription.
How to fix a declined Facetune payment
A decline does not, by itself, identify the cause. Check where the purchase was attempted—Facetune’s website, the App Store or Google Play—then work through these possibilities without repeatedly submitting unchanged details:
- Insufficient available funds: Compare the available card balance with the full charge shown at checkout, including applicable tax and any currency conversion. Facetune’s terms describe limited partial-charging circumstances for eligible Adyen-processed website subscriptions, but do not rely on a partial payment: the terms say a weekly purchase is declined if the full amount is unavailable.
- Billing details do not match: Re-enter your actual name and billing address carefully. Check the country as well as the street and postal details. Facetune requires your declared residence and billing-address country to match; changing an address to appear eligible is not a solution.
- Authentication was not completed: An initial purchase may require additional bank authentication, particularly in the EEA. If checkout requests a password, one-time code or biometric approval, complete the prompt before it expires. If you never receive a required prompt, contact Coinepay support with the time and amount of the attempt, but do not send your CVV or full card number in a message.
- Merchant or store region checks: Confirm that Facetune offers the selected subscription in your actual location and that your account country and billing details are accurate. For an in-app purchase, check the payment-method requirements shown by Apple or Google for your store account. Do not use a false address or another person’s account to work around a restriction.
If a website payment fails, Facetune’s policy says it may retry another payment method on the account and may suspend the subscription if no payment succeeds. Check My Account before making a new purchase so you do not overlook a pending or active subscription. For a store decline, review the store’s payment settings and seek help from the store as appropriate; Coinepay support can help you investigate a card-side issue. Share only the information needed to locate the attempt.
Manage cancellation and refunds
For a website purchase, sign in to Facetune and look under My Account → plan details/payment information → Manage subscription or Cancel Subscription. Facetune says you cannot switch a website plan mid-cycle through its pricing-page process: cancel, then subscribe to the desired available plan after the current period. For an app purchase, use your Apple or Google Play subscription settings instead. Deleting Facetune does not cancel billing.
Cancellation normally stops the next renewal while leaving paid access through the current billing period; it does not automatically produce a refund. Facetune’s policy offers a 14-day refund window for an eligible first website subscription purchase, not renewals: cancel and then contact Lightricks support. For Apple or Google Play purchases, request a refund from the respective store under its policy; the website’s 14-day provision does not apply.
