Facebook Ads does not have a monthly subscription checkout. You create ads in Meta Ads Manager, set a budget and add a payment method to your ad account. This guide explains how to try a Coinepay virtual card, what to check before publishing and how to investigate a declined payment.
What you need before you start
- A Facebook account and a Facebook Page. You will use Meta Ads Manager to set up an ad account and create your campaign.
- Access to the right ad account. If a business manages several accounts, confirm which one will run the ads before adding a card.
- A verified Coinepay account. Register and complete identity verification before using Coinepay card services. Once issued, a Coinepay virtual card provides a card number, expiry date and CVV.
- Funds and a suitable spending limit. Check the available amount in Coinepay and allow for ad charges beyond any single amount you expect Meta to collect. Businesses can issue a dedicated virtual card for each ad account and set a custom spending limit per card.
- Accurate business and billing details. Use your real identity and real billing information. Check that the payment details you enter are consistent with the information associated with your card.
Before relying on a card for a campaign, check the payment options shown for your ad account. Available methods can depend on the account’s country and currency, and adding a card does not establish that Meta will accept it. If you are unsure whether your Coinepay card meets a requirement shown by Meta, contact Coinepay support before you buy.
How Facebook Ads budgeting and billing work
In Ads Manager, you choose a daily budget or a lifetime budget when setting up advertising. These are controls for ad spending, not Facebook Ads plan names. Ad costs depend on the campaign settings and auction; there is no fixed subscription price to pay at sign-up. Review Meta’s official ads pricing information and the estimates displayed during campaign setup before you publish.
For an ad account using automatic billing, Meta charges when spending reaches the account’s payment threshold and on its monthly bill date for any remaining balance. The monthly bill date is not a monthly plan renewal. Because charges can occur while a campaign is running, monitor the card’s available funds and any spending limit you have set. Check Ads Manager for the account’s amounts due rather than assuming that the campaign budget has already been charged in full.
Step by step: add your card and publish an ad
- Set up Coinepay. Register for Coinepay, complete the required identity verification and issue a virtual card. View its number, expiry date and CVV in the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard. Check the available funds and, if you use a card-level spending limit, make sure the limit suits the ad account’s expected charges.
- Open Meta Ads Manager. Sign in with your Facebook account. Set up or select the ad account you intend to use and make sure you have a Facebook Page for the ads. If your business has multiple ad accounts, double-check the selected account before entering payment details.
- Go to payment settings. In Ads Manager, open Billing & payments → Payment settings. This is where you manage the ad account’s payment methods and review amounts due. Choose the option to add a payment method if a card option is available for your account.
- Enter your card details. Copy the Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV accurately. Enter the real billing information requested by Meta. Review the details before saving, and complete any verification step Meta or the card issuer presents. If Meta does not offer a suitable card option or rejects the method, do not assume another ad account or a different address will fix it.
- Create your campaign. In Ads Manager, choose a campaign objective and work through the campaign, ad set and ad settings. Set a daily or lifetime budget as appropriate. Review targeting, schedule, creative and the account’s payment setup, then publish the ad for Meta’s review. Publishing an ad order is not subscribing to a monthly Facebook Ads plan.
- Watch billing after publication. Return to Billing & payments to check payment activity and amounts due. Business Manager also provides billing reports and invoices. In Coinepay, monitor the card’s available funds and spending limit so a later threshold or bill-date charge does not fail.
If you manage separate Facebook ad accounts for different businesses or campaigns, a dedicated Coinepay virtual card for each ad account can make it easier to identify spending. Set each card’s limit with the account’s expected billing in mind; a limit that is too low may prevent a charge even when the card otherwise has funds.
What to check when a payment is declined
Start with the exact notice in Ads Manager and the status of the attempted charge in Coinepay. Reported examples of ad-payment messages include “Payment method not supported,” “Charge is declined by your financial institution,” “Charge is declined due to insufficient funds” and “Your credit card address can’t be verified.” Wording can vary, and a message alone may not identify the final cause.
Insufficient balance or a card spending limit
If Meta reports insufficient funds, check the card’s available amount and any custom spending limit in Coinepay. Compare both with the amount Meta is attempting to collect, which may reflect spending up to a payment threshold or a remaining balance on the monthly bill date. Add funds through an option available in your Coinepay account or adjust a business card’s spending limit if appropriate, then retry through Meta’s billing flow. Check whether an amount is still due; changing a campaign budget does not itself settle an outstanding charge.
Billing address or card-detail mismatch
For an address-verification message, review the card number, expiry, CVV and billing details entered in Payment settings. Correct typing mistakes and use your genuine billing information. If you do not know which details should accompany your Coinepay card, ask Coinepay support rather than inventing an address or repeatedly testing variations.
3-D Secure or another verification step
If a card verification prompt appears, follow the instructions shown and complete it using the legitimate channel provided. An interrupted prompt, expired session or missed approval can leave the payment incomplete. Return to Ads Manager to check whether the method was saved or the amount is still due before trying again. If verification fails or you never receive an expected prompt, share the attempted payment time and any non-sensitive error details with Coinepay support. Never send your CVV or a one-time verification code to someone claiming they can fix the charge.
Payment-method or merchant region checks
If Ads Manager says “Payment method not supported,” review the payment choices available to the selected ad account and confirm its country and currency settings are accurate. Meta can apply account- and region-specific payment checks; a card that can be entered is not necessarily accepted for a charge. Do not use a false address, another person’s identity or a workaround for regional restrictions. If Meta states a card-type or country-of-issue requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before you buy. For an unresolved rejection, ask Meta about the ad account’s payment eligibility and Coinepay about the card-side decline.
Manage spending or stop running ads
To manage the payment method or an outstanding amount, return to Ads Manager → Billing & payments → Payment settings. Review billing activity and invoices regularly, especially when several campaigns share one ad account. Keep enough available on the card for charges that may occur at a payment threshold or on the monthly bill date.
There is no Facebook Ads subscription renewal to cancel. If you want to stop future ad delivery, turn off the relevant ad or campaign in Ads Manager and check its status. Then review Billing & payments for any charges or balance associated with delivery that has already occurred. If you believe a charge is incorrect, use Meta’s billing support process and retain the campaign and invoice details for your records.
Coinepay card services require identity verification, and availability can vary by jurisdiction. You can manage your Coinepay account through its 24/7 self-service dashboard or the iOS app and Android app. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions.
