Apple TV is Apple's streaming subscription, home to Apple Originals and live sport. This guide explains how to pay for it with a Coinepay virtual card: what you need before you start, how the sign-up and checkout works, and what to do if your card is declined. Prices below were the amounts shown on Apple's public pages on 23 October 2026 and are included only as reference points — always check Apple's own pages, because checkout depends on your account region and offer eligibility.

What you need before you start

To pay for Apple TV with a Coinepay virtual card, make sure you have:

  • A Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed. You cannot use card services until KYC is done. Start at the Coinepay registration page if you have not signed up yet.
  • An active Coinepay virtual card. When you create one, the app shows the card number, expiry date and CVV instantly — you'll need all three at checkout.
  • Enough available balance on the card to cover the monthly charge plus any applicable taxes Apple adds.
  • An Apple Account, and the real billing details (name and billing address) that match your card. Apple checks these.

Apple lists "most credit and debit cards" as accepted, but it does not guarantee that every prepaid, virtual or internationally issued card works, and acceptance can depend on your Apple Account region. If you want to confirm your Coinepay card meets Apple's requirements before you buy, contact Coinepay support.

Apple TV plans and prices

The standalone streaming subscription is officially called Apple TV (Apple says it was formerly Apple TV+). It is a monthly subscription with a seven-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, and one subscription can be shared with up to five family members. Note that the Apple TV app and the Apple TV 4K device are separate things from the subscription itself.

At the time of writing (October 2026), the standalone monthly price was shown as US$14.99 in the United States, CA$14.99 in Canada, £9.99 in the UK, A$15.99 in Australia, €9.99 in Germany and France, and ¥1,200 in Japan. Apple TV is also included in Apple One (US tiers shown as Individual US$21.95, Family US$27.95 and Premier US$39.95) and, in the US only, in bundles such as Apple TV and Peacock Premium (US$17.99/month) and Apple TV and Peacock Premium Plus (US$22.99/month). Prices vary by region and change over time, so check the official Apple pricing page for your country before you subscribe.

Step by step: subscribe and pay

  1. Create your Coinepay virtual card. Open the Coinepay app (iOS or Android) or the dashboard, issue a card and top it up so it has enough balance for the plan you want.
  2. Go to Apple TV. Open tv.apple.com in a browser or the Apple TV app on a supported device.
  3. Start the subscription. Select Apple TV and choose the trial button or the Sign In / Sign Up option.
  4. Sign in or create an Apple Account. Use your real details. Your Apple Account region should match where you can legally pay.
  5. Add your card as the payment method. On iPhone or iPad, card and billing-address controls live under Settings → your name → Payment & Shipping. Enter the Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV, and a billing address that matches your card details.
  6. Confirm billing details and terms. Review the plan, agree to Apple's terms and complete the purchase.
  7. Complete any verification. If a 3-D Secure or confirmation step appears, approve it so the charge can go through.

Apple charges the selected Apple Account payment method and may try other eligible methods in your account order if the primary one fails. Applicable taxes may be added on top of the listed price.

Which payment methods Apple accepts

Accepted methods differ by country. In the US, Apple lists Apple Account balance, Apple Card, Apple Cash, Apple Pay, most credit and debit cards, and PayPal. Canada and Australia list account balance, Apple Pay, most credit and debit cards, and PayPal. The UK additionally allows billing through specified mobile carriers, and India's list names Apple Account balance, UPI, Visa and Mastercard (with net banking for adding funds only). Because Apple specifies "most" cards rather than every card type, it is worth confirming your card works in your region before relying on it.

Troubleshooting: card declined or charge failed

If your card is declined, Apple says your financial institution — not Apple — can give the specific reason. Work through these common causes:

Insufficient balance

Make sure your Coinepay card has enough to cover the monthly price plus any tax Apple adds. Top up in the Coinepay app and try again. Remember renewals: Apple may charge the next period up to 24 hours before it starts, so keep a balance available if you intend to continue.

Billing address mismatch

One of the most frequent causes is billing details that don't match. Check that the name and billing address under Settings → your name → Payment & Shipping match the details registered to your Coinepay card exactly.

3-D Secure or verification

If a security confirmation appears and isn't completed, the charge can fail. Complete any 3-D Secure prompt. Apple also documents messages such as "verification required" and "billing problem with previous purchase", which are linked to an unpaid balance that can interrupt a subscription — clear any outstanding balance in your Apple Account. A "Purchase Not Completed" message can appear when suspicious activity needs review.

Region mismatch and international restrictions

Apple lists a mismatch between your Apple Account region and your payment-method region, international-purchase restrictions and failed bank verification among possible decline reasons. Your Apple Account region and your card need to line up, and you must use your real details — do not try to work around regional checks. If everything matches and the card still won't go through, reach out to Coinepay support or ask through the Coinepay Telegram channel.

Managing, cancelling and refunds

Subscriptions renew until you cancel. On iPhone or iPad, manage billing at Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On the web, go to tv.apple.com → account icon → Settings → Subscriptions → Manage; on Apple TV 4K, use Settings → Profiles and Accounts → [profile] → Subscriptions. If you took the trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid the first charge.

Cancelling does not by itself guarantee a refund — Apple's US terms treat transactions as final, but you can request a potentially eligible refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple reviews it. If you were billed through Google Play or Amazon rather than Apple directly, cancel through that service instead of Apple's web controls.

Regional availability notes

Apple lists Apple TV subscription availability by country, and its list does not include mainland China. App, sport and content availability can differ from subscription availability and can change while travelling. Apple also notes that in some countries (including India) Apple One is available only to customers who subscribed before 14 September 2026, and cancelling an existing plan removes the ability to resubscribe. Check Apple's availability page for your country before you subscribe. Coinepay services related to virtual assets are not available to residents of mainland China, and some services aren't offered in every jurisdiction.

FAQ

Can I pay for Apple TV with a Coinepay virtual card?

You can enter a Coinepay virtual card number, expiry and CVV as your Apple Account payment method. Apple accepts "most" credit and debit cards but doesn't guarantee every card type works in every region, so confirm your details match and contact Coinepay support if you're unsure before subscribing.

How much does Apple TV cost?

At the time of writing (October 2026), the standalone monthly subscription was shown as US$14.99 in the US, £9.99 in the UK, A$15.99 in Australia and €9.99 in Germany and France, among others. Prices vary by region and can change, so check Apple's official pricing page for your country.

Why was my card declined at Apple TV checkout?

Common causes include insufficient balance, a billing address that doesn't match your card, an incomplete 3-D Secure step, an unpaid previous balance, or a mismatch between your Apple Account region and card region. Apple says your bank can give the exact reason.

Do I need to complete Coinepay verification first?

Yes. You must register and complete identity verification (KYC) before using Coinepay card services. Once verified, you can issue a virtual card instantly and top it up for the Apple TV charge.

How do I cancel Apple TV after subscribing?

On iPhone or iPad go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On the web use tv.apple.com → account icon → Settings → Subscriptions → Manage. If you're on a trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid the first charge. Cancelling doesn't automatically grant a refund.
