If you still think of "Eurosport Premium" as the way to stream cycling, tennis and winter sports, the setup has changed. This guide explains where Eurosport content lives in 2026, how to reach the right checkout, and how to pay for it with a Coinepay virtual card. It ends with a troubleshooting section for the most common card-declined causes.
What "Eurosport" means in 2026
Eurosport Premium as a standalone subscription tier ended in every country and region on 22 July 2024, so there is no current Eurosport Premium checkout to pay for. Eurosport's website and apps still carry sports news, highlights and results, but access to televised or streamed events now depends on your country and provider. Where you pay depends on where you live:
- Spain and several other European markets: Eurosport directs viewers to HBO Max (Max) with the Sports Add-On, which requires a base subscription.
- Austria, Germany and Italy: viewers are pointed to a discovery+ plan that includes sports content.
- UK and Ireland: the Eurosport brand and channels became TNT Sports, which is a separate product rather than a continuing Eurosport tier.
Because the exact plan names, availability and prices vary by country and provider, always confirm the current offer on the official HBO Max, discovery+ or TNT Sports pages for your region before you pay. Prices below are examples checked in October 2026 and can change.
Current plans and example prices
In the UK at the time of writing (October 2026), HBO Max lists Basic with Ads £4.99/month, Standard with Ads £5.99, Standard £9.99 and Premium £14.99, while TNT Sports is £30.99/month or £25.99/month for 12 months on the Saver plan (unpaid Saver instalments remain payable after cancellation). In Ireland, HBO Max lists Basic with Ads €5.99, Standard with Ads €6.99, Standard €10.99 and Premium €15.99; the UK TNT Sports plan is not sold in Ireland. In Spain, HBO Max DAZN (which bundles HBO Max Premium, HBO Max Sports and specified DAZN channels) was €44.99/month with no annual option. For Spain, France, the Netherlands and other Sports Add-On markets, a single numeric price for every tier could not be confirmed, so check the official pricing page for your country. HBO Max names its Spain base tiers Basic with Ads, Standard and Premium, with the Sports Add-On layered on top.
What you need before you start
- A Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed, and a virtual card issued in the Coinepay app or dashboard.
- Your card's number, expiry date and CVV, plus the billing address and name on your Coinepay profile.
- Enough available balance to cover the first charge and the recurring monthly renewal.
- An email address for your HBO Max / discovery+ / TNT Sports account, and access to your phone for any 3-D Secure confirmation.
If you don't have a card yet, register with Coinepay, finish verification, then create a virtual card. You'll see the card number, expiry and CVV straight away. The Coinepay apps are on the App Store and Google Play.
The European HBO Max direct checkout lists card networks Visa, Mastercard and American Express (American Express has country exclusions), plus PayPal and Apple Pay; some countries also offer Google Pay, Bancontact (Belgium), Cartes Bancaires (France), iDEAL (Netherlands) and Klarna (Austria, Germany, Sweden). Your card must support recurring payments. Check the network and details of your Coinepay card in the app, and contact Coinepay support if you want to confirm your card meets the checkout's requirements before you buy. Note that if you subscribe through an app store or a TV/mobile provider instead of directly, that biller sets its own accepted payment methods.
Step-by-step: subscribe and pay directly with HBO Max
- Go to the official HBO Max site for your country (or use discovery+ / TNT Sports if that is the route for your region).
- Choose a plan and billing period — for Eurosport content in an HBO Max market, pick a base tier and then the Sports Add-On.
- Enter your account email, then create an account or sign in.
- Add a payment method. Select the card option and enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV.
- Enter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Coinepay profile.
- Complete any 3-D Secure step your bank requests, then confirm to start the subscription.
App-store and other-provider checkouts differ from this direct flow. The Sports Add-On is billed monthly, and adding it on a different day from the base plan can produce a separate WBDSports charge on your statement, so don't be surprised to see two line items from the same subscription.
Managing billing after you subscribe
For direct-billed customers, HBO Max billing settings and the biller's identity are under profile → Subscription in the app, or at HBOMax.com/subscription on the web. That is where you update your Coinepay card if it changes. If your subscription is billed by a third party (an app store or TV provider), you manage the payment method with that provider instead.
Troubleshooting a declined card
HBO Max documents a generic payment error at checkout and notes that some payment methods do not support recurring subscriptions, and that a bank may require 3-D Secure verification. Its troubleshooting also lists incorrect card details and a billing address that doesn't match as possible causes. These are possible causes, not a diagnosis of any specific decline. Work through them in order:
- Insufficient balance: confirm your Coinepay card has enough to cover the first charge plus the monthly renewal. Top up in the app if needed and retry.
- Billing address mismatch: the name, address and postcode you type at checkout must match your Coinepay profile exactly. A wrong postcode or state is a common rejection trigger.
- 3-D Secure: if the bank prompts for extra verification, complete it promptly. Have your phone ready for the confirmation.
- Recurring payments not supported: HBO Max subscriptions renew automatically, so the card must allow recurring charges. If you're unsure whether your Coinepay card does, contact Coinepay support.
- Card details entered wrong: re-check the number, expiry and CVV from the Coinepay app.
- Merchant region checks: HBO Max availability and sports rights are regional. Plan changes and streaming may require you to be in the country where the subscription began. Use your real country and billing details — don't try to disguise your location, as that breaches the provider's terms.
If the charge still fails, check whether the decline came from your bank or the merchant. For card-side questions, reach Coinepay support or message the team on Telegram; for merchant-side errors, contact HBO Max, discovery+ or TNT Sports.
Cancelling and refunds
To stop renewal, cancel before the next billing date through whoever bills you — deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Direct-billed customers use HBOMax.com/subscription, and access normally continues to the end of the paid period. Removing the Sports Add-On keeps the base plan and leaves sports access until the add-on period ends; cancelling the base plan ends its add-on too. Refunds depend on the biller and circumstances: HBO Max's UK help describes a one-month minimum on direct monthly plans and a cooling-off limitation once immediate access begins, and 12-month Saver payments remain due after cancellation. Third-party customers follow their biller's policy. The old Eurosport Premium shutdown refunds are not the policy for a new HBO Max purchase.
Coinepay gives you the virtual card and lets you manage it 24/7 from the dashboard and mobile app; the streaming subscription, pricing and content rights are set by HBO Max, discovery+ or TNT Sports for your region.

FAQ
Is there still a Eurosport Premium subscription to pay for?
No. Eurosport Premium ended in every country on 22 July 2024. Eurosport content is now reached through HBO Max with the Sports Add-On in markets such as Spain, through discovery+ in Austria, Germany and Italy, and through TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland. Check the official route for your country.
Which card networks does HBO Max's European checkout accept?
The European direct checkout lists Visa, Mastercard and American Express (with country exclusions), plus PayPal and Apple Pay, and some local methods by country. Your card must support recurring payments. Check your Coinepay card details in the app and contact support to confirm it meets the requirement before you buy.
Why do I see a separate WBDSports charge?
The Sports Add-On is billed monthly. If you add it on a different day from your base plan, it can appear as a separate WBDSports charge on your statement alongside the base subscription.
My Coinepay card was declined at checkout. What should I check?
Confirm enough balance for the first charge and renewal, match your billing name, address and postcode exactly to your Coinepay profile, complete any 3-D Secure prompt, and make sure the card supports recurring payments. If it still fails, contact Coinepay support for card-side issues or HBO Max for merchant errors.
Can I use the subscription while travelling abroad?
HBO Max availability and sports rights are regional, and its help says streaming while travelling requires being in an available territory. Use your real country and billing details; do not try to mask your location, as that breaks the provider's terms.
