Coinepay Global Remittance supports transfers to Tajikistan. Before you start, ask your recipient how they want to receive the money: in a bank account, an eligible mobile wallet or as cash for pickup. The details you enter depend on that choice. This guide explains what to collect, how to review the transfer before sending it and what to do if a payout needs attention.

What you need before sending

You need a Coinepay account and must complete identity verification before using the service. You can manage the transfer in the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app. Have your recipient’s full legal name as it appears on their account or identification document, along with the details for their chosen payout method. Use your own real identity and accurate transfer information.

Tajikistan’s local currency is the somoni (TJS). Select the available destination and payout currency in Coinepay rather than assuming that every method pays out in the same currency. Confirm with the recipient what currency their account or payout location can receive. Coinepay shows the exchange rate and fees before you confirm; check the amount the recipient is expected to receive at that stage.

Transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may ask for documents or information about the purpose of a payment or the source of funds. Be ready to provide accurate answers if requested. Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions.

Choose a payout method for Tajikistan

Coinepay supports bank deposit, mobile-wallet payout and cash pickup as remittance methods. Check the choices displayed for your Tajikistan transfer in the app: the available route and the information requested can differ by transaction. Ask your recipient which method they can actually use before entering their details.

Bank account deposit

For a bank deposit, ask for the recipient’s full legal name, their bank’s name, their account number and the bank’s receiving instructions. Their bank may also provide a branch name and full bank address. Enter any additional bank fields shown in Coinepay using the details supplied by the recipient’s bank; do not substitute a code from another payment system.

Tajikistan does not have a national IBAN format. Ask for the actual account number rather than trying to construct an IBAN. If the selected route asks for a SWIFT/BIC, obtain the receiving bank’s SWIFT/BIC and its instructions for the payout currency. Some international wires can also require correspondent-bank details. Tajik banks may publish a domestic numeric bank identifier, such as a nine-digit BIC or MFO. Whether you need to enter one separately depends on the route and the fields Coinepay displays. Ask the recipient to request their bank’s current incoming-transfer instructions if any field is unclear.

The recipient should check that their account can accept the selected currency and that their bank has the correct name and account information on file. A bank may perform its own checks before crediting an incoming payment.

Mobile wallet

If mobile-wallet payout appears among the available choices for your transfer, select an eligible wallet from the options shown in Coinepay. Ask the recipient to confirm that they have an active account with that wallet and obtain the wallet-linked phone number or other identifier requested in the transfer form. Enter the recipient’s legal name as required and check the phone number carefully, including its country code where requested.

Do not assume that a wallet used for domestic payments can receive a cross-border transfer. Wallet eligibility and the information needed to collect or use the funds depend on the specific option shown and the wallet provider’s rules. Have the recipient check their wallet account and its receiving requirements before you confirm.

Cash pickup

Cash pickup lets an eligible recipient collect funds at a participating location instead of receiving a bank or wallet credit. If Coinepay offers this option for your transfer, enter the recipient’s legal name exactly as it appears on their valid government-issued ID. Confirm the available pickup instructions and payout currency before sending.

Tell the recipient to bring their valid government-issued ID and any transfer reference or collection information provided for the selected payout route. Cash-pickup systems may require a tracking number; the recipient should follow the instructions attached to the actual transfer rather than assuming another provider’s reference will work. They should check the pickup location’s requirements before visiting. A mismatch between the transfer name and their ID, or missing collection information, can prevent payout.

How to send money to Tajikistan step by step

  1. Sign in and start a transfer. Open your Coinepay account in the dashboard or mobile app. If you are new, register and complete the required identity verification first.
  2. Choose Tajikistan and the payout details. Select Tajikistan as the destination, then choose the available payout method and currency. Enter the amount you intend to send and check the recipient amount displayed.
  3. Add the recipient. Enter their full legal name and the details requested for the selected method: bank and account information, eligible wallet details or cash-pickup identification details. Compare everything against information supplied directly by the recipient or their bank.
  4. Review before confirming. Read the exchange rate, fees and transfer summary shown in Coinepay. Recheck the destination, currency, payout method, recipient name and every account number or code. If information is missing or inconsistent, stop and verify it before proceeding.
  5. Confirm and track. Confirm only when the summary is correct. Keep the transfer reference and follow its status in Coinepay’s transfer tracking. If the recipient needs pickup instructions, share only the information relevant to their collection method through a secure channel.

If you need to send or manage a transfer away from your computer, the Coinepay mobile app is available for iOS and Android.

Recipient-side checks in Tajikistan

Before sending, ask the recipient to confirm that their chosen bank account, wallet or pickup option is available to them. For a bank payout, they should request the bank’s current receiving instructions for the selected currency, including any SWIFT/BIC or correspondent-bank information the bank says is needed. For a wallet payout, they should confirm that the wallet displayed in Coinepay accepts the transfer and that their account details match. For cash pickup, they should have acceptable ID and follow the collection instructions for that specific transfer.

Local providers can apply identification and transaction checks. Tajikistan also has rules for payment systems and cross-border transfers, so requirements may differ between a deposit into an account and a transfer collected without opening one. The recipient may be asked to provide information to their bank, wallet provider or pickup operator. Neither the sender nor the recipient should alter names or payment details to bypass those checks.

Troubleshooting a Tajikistan transfer

  • Wrong recipient or bank details: If you notice a mistake after confirming, check the transfer status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the reference and the correct information. Do not assume a confirmed transfer can be edited or recalled. A wrong account number or SWIFT field can delay a bank payment, cause it to fail or lead to a return by the receiving bank.
  • Compliance review: If Coinepay requests identification, the payment purpose or source-of-funds documents, follow the request and submit accurate materials through the designated channel. Screening and local requirements can affect processing. Do not send a replacement transfer to try to avoid a review.
  • Transfer still pending: Check status tracking first. For a bank transfer, confirm the recipient’s bank details and ask the recipient whether their bank has requested anything. Intermediary-bank processing, time-zone differences and receiving-side checks can affect progress. For cash pickup, verify that the recipient has the required ID and collection information.
  • Returned transfer: Check the status and any reason provided before starting again. Ask the recipient’s bank or payout provider to verify its receiving instructions, then contact Coinepay support if the reason or next step is unclear. Do not reuse details that may have caused the return without checking them.

For a case-specific question, contact Coinepay support and include the transfer reference, destination and payout method. Avoid sharing a recipient’s full account credentials in an unsecured message.

FAQ

Does Tajikistan use IBAN for bank transfers?

No. Tajikistan has no national IBAN format. Ask the recipient for their bank account number and the bank’s current receiving instructions.

Do I need a SWIFT/BIC to send money to a Tajik bank?

It depends on the selected transfer route. If Coinepay requests a SWIFT/BIC, get it from the recipient’s bank along with any currency-specific receiving instructions.

Can my recipient collect cash instead of using a bank account?

Choose cash pickup if it is offered for your transfer. The recipient should have a valid government-issued ID and follow the collection instructions and reference requirements shown for that route.

What should I do if I entered the wrong account number?

Check the transfer status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer reference. A bank payout with incorrect details may be delayed, fail or be returned.
