You can enter a Coinepay virtual card when signing up for a paid QuickBooks Online plan, but payment depends on Intuit’s checkout rules and whether your card meets them. This guide covers QuickBooks subscription billing—not QuickBooks Payments, the separate service for collecting payments from customers.

Before you subscribe

Register for Coinepay and complete identity verification before using its card services. You can manage your card through the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app. Once your virtual card is issued, its card number, expiry date and CVV are available immediately. Check your available funds and any applicable card settings in Coinepay before starting checkout.

Use the QuickBooks regional site that matches where your business is genuinely based. Intuit says a QuickBooks Online account’s country is tied to the regional site used at sign-up; changing countries later may require a new account. In particular, US subscription billing requires a US billing address, excluding US territories. Enter your real identity and billing details rather than an address from a different region.

Check the US card restriction before you buy: Intuit’s US card-verification guidance says it does not accept prepaid cards for subscription payments. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets this requirement before you buy. Acceptance of a specific card is ultimately determined at checkout; do not assume that payment options listed for the US apply in another country.

Choose the right QuickBooks Online plan

Plan names and offers vary by country. On the US pricing page, the lineup at the time of writing (October 2026) is Free, Simple Start, Essentials, Plus and Advanced. The listed monthly prices are $0, $38, $85, $140 and $340, respectively. Intuit also displays a three-month, 50%-off offer on the paid plans. Check the official QuickBooks pricing page and your checkout total for current prices, promotional eligibility and the amount due now. The Free tier does not require a paid-plan subscription checkout.

In Canada, the accounting tiers are EasyStart, Essentials, Plus and Advanced, with a separate Lite option for freelancers. The UK page lists Sole Trader Plus, Simple Start, Essentials, Plus and Advanced; Australia lists Simple Start, Essentials, Plus and Advanced. For current prices in those regions, consult the appropriate official QuickBooks pricing page. Compare the features you need rather than choosing solely by the introductory offer.

How to sign up and pay with your virtual card

  1. Prepare your card. Register for Coinepay if needed, complete KYC, and open your issued virtual card in the dashboard or app. Confirm you have enough available funds for the checkout amount and any later recurring charge. Check applicable funding details in Coinepay rather than assuming a particular limit or fee.
  2. Open the official QuickBooks pricing page for your region. Select the paid QuickBooks Online plan that fits your business. Review whether you are choosing an introductory offer, a trial or immediate paid access. The US and Canadian purchase flow offers a plan selection followed by an optional payroll choice and checkout. Canada also presents buy-now and 30-day-trial selections; the UK page presents monthly, annual and trial choices.
  3. Review optional additions. If checkout offers payroll, add it only if you intend to purchase it. Review the resulting order summary, billing interval, trial terms if applicable, and the amount shown before proceeding.
  4. Create or sign in to your Intuit account. Follow the on-screen prompts for your business and account information. Use accurate details that match your business and the region in which you are subscribing.
  5. Enter the payment details. If your checkout offers card payment, enter the Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV. Supply your real billing name and address, ensuring they match the information associated with the card. Available payment methods can differ by region and checkout.
  6. Complete any required verification and review the result. If a card-authentication prompt appears, follow the instructions shown by the payment flow. Confirm the order only after checking the final amount and terms. Look for a subscription confirmation in your Intuit account; do not treat an attempted charge alone as proof that sign-up succeeded.

Intuit lists several US subscription payment methods, including cards and non-card options, but their availability at a particular checkout is not assured. Its Australian pricing information specifies major Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit and debit cards for plans. Neither statement establishes whether a particular Coinepay card will be accepted.

How to update a card or review billing

For a US QuickBooks Online subscription, open Settings ⚙ → Subscriptions and billing → Payment method → Edit to add, switch or update a payment method. Payment history and invoices are available under Subscriptions and billing as well. If your subscription is managed through another purchase channel or by an accountant, check who controls its billing before trying to change the card.

Keep enough funds available for a recurring payment if you want the subscription to continue. If a US subscription payment is declined, Intuit says it does not automatically rerun that card. Check the account’s billing status, correct the issue and follow Intuit’s prompts to update or retry payment rather than waiting for an automatic second attempt.

Troubleshoot a declined QuickBooks payment

  • Insufficient available funds or a card spending setting: Compare the available balance and any applicable card limit shown in Coinepay with the amount at QuickBooks checkout. Remember that an introductory price may differ from the later recurring charge. If you need help understanding a card restriction, contact Coinepay support.
  • Incorrect card details or billing-address mismatch: Recheck the number, expiry and CVV for typing errors. Enter your genuine billing address exactly as appropriate for the card and your QuickBooks account. US subscription billing requires a US billing address outside US territories; a different address entered solely to pass checkout is not a solution.
  • 3-D Secure or another authentication step: If checkout requests verification, complete the prompt through the method it provides. If it expires or does not appear, restart the payment flow and check for an instruction in your card account. Ask Coinepay support for help with a card-authentication issue; do not assume every QuickBooks checkout uses the same verification flow.
  • Merchant region or card-type checks: Confirm that you selected the correct regional QuickBooks site and that your real billing details satisfy its requirements. For US subscriptions, Intuit’s guidance excludes prepaid cards. Ask Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets that requirement before another attempt; if it does not, choose an eligible payment method offered by Intuit.
  • Error 81624: In US QuickBooks Online billing, this means the bank declined or blocked the subscription payment. Intuit advises checking card and address details, contacting the issuer, or trying another card. Coinepay support can help you investigate your card’s side of the transaction; Intuit support can help with the QuickBooks order.

Intuit also identifies expired or invalid card details, issuer refusals and general processor declines among possible US failure causes. Avoid submitting the same incorrect details repeatedly. First verify what the checkout says, then use Coinepay support for a card issue or Intuit’s support channels for a subscription or account issue.

If you need to cancel later

For a US subscription purchased directly from Intuit, go to Intuit Account Manager → Products & billing → company → Cancel. If you bought through Apple or Google, cancel through that store instead. Intuit says a cancelled single US subscription retains read-only data access for one year. Its US 60-day satisfaction guarantee generally applies to eligible annual QuickBooks Online subscriptions, not monthly subscriptions; cancellation alone does not establish refund eligibility. Check the terms presented for your region and purchase channel before committing.
