GoDaddy offers more than one way to build an online store, so first identify which product you are buying. This guide explains how to pay for a GoDaddy store subscription with a Coinepay virtual card. It also covers what to check if GoDaddy declines the payment. Paying GoDaddy for your subscription is separate from setting up the payment methods your own customers will use.

Choose the right GoDaddy store product

GoDaddy documents both a Websites + Marketing Commerce store and a newer Airo AI Builder store. Their setup steps and regional availability differ. In Airo AI Builder, the tiers are Free, Starter, Professional and Ultimate; GoDaddy identifies Professional as the tier for a full online store. The older Websites + Marketing lineup includes Basic, Premium and Commerce, but its Commerce plan is available only in certain regions. Check the product name and store features shown on GoDaddy’s official pricing page for your location before buying.

At the time of writing (October 2026), GoDaddy’s US Airo pricing page listed Starter at $9.99 per month, Professional at $24.99 per month and Ultimate at $99.99 per month as monthly equivalents billed annually. Those figures are not month-to-month quotes. Prices and available terms can change or differ by region, so rely on GoDaddy’s current pricing page and the total displayed at checkout.

There is also an important selling-region distinction: GoDaddy says Airo’s native store setup, including its catalog and order management, is currently available with GoDaddy Payments in the US and Canada. Elsewhere, sellers can build and preview; GoDaddy says Stripe may be connectable, but Stripe users do not currently get that native catalog and order management. GoDaddy Payments is limited to businesses based in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico. These are store-processing restrictions, not a rule that every GoDaddy website-building product is limited to those places. Confirm the features available to your business before paying for a plan.

What you need before paying

  • A GoDaddy account and a suitable plan: Choose the Airo or Websites + Marketing purchase flow that offers the store features you need in your region.
  • A Coinepay account: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions.
  • Your virtual card details: Coinepay provides a card number, expiry date and CVV. Find the card in the Coinepay app or 24/7 self-service dashboard, and check its available funds before checkout.
  • Accurate account and billing information: Use your real identity and real billing details. Check that the billing address you enter at GoDaddy matches the details associated with your payment method.

GoDaddy lists several ways to pay for subscriptions, but the methods presented depend on country and checkout flow. A listed payment method does not establish that a particular card will be accepted. If GoDaddy shows a restriction on card type or issuing country during your purchase, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before you buy.

Pay for an Airo AI Builder store

  1. Start with GoDaddy Airo AI Builder. Sign in or create a GoDaddy account, then begin the free builder flow. GoDaddy says you can start building without entering a card.
  2. Describe and prepare your store. Follow GoDaddy’s prompts to describe the business and build the site. For a store, add your products and review the available payment, tax and shipping setup. The editor’s Commerce tab is where GoDaddy places products, orders, transactions, payouts and store settings.
  3. Preview the customer experience. Test the store’s checkout in preview before taking real orders. A preview is not a substitute for connecting an eligible customer-payment processor or publishing on the required paid plan.
  4. Select the paid store plan. Review the Professional offer, or another plan only if GoDaddy’s current feature list shows that it meets your needs. Check the billing term, renewal terms and full checkout total.
  5. Enter your Coinepay card. If a card-entry option is offered, enter the card number, expiry date, CVV and your real billing information. Complete any payment verification GoDaddy presents, then submit the purchase once.
  6. Confirm the result. Look for GoDaddy’s order confirmation and check the plan shown in your account before attempting another payment. Return to the store setup to finish the steps required to publish and take real orders.

If you already have a Websites + Marketing store, do not assume buying Airo will move it. GoDaddy says an existing Online Store cannot be migrated directly into Airo AI Builder; you would need to build a new store and add its products again.

Pay for a Websites + Marketing Commerce store

If GoDaddy offers Websites + Marketing Commerce in your region, sign in to GoDaddy, choose the Websites + Marketing product and compare the available plans. Select Commerce only after checking that its displayed features and terms fit your store. At checkout, review the billing period and total, select the offered card-payment option, enter your Coinepay card and accurate billing details, and complete any verification prompt. Keep the GoDaddy confirmation for your records.

Do not confuse this subscription purchase with accepting payments from shoppers. In a Websites + Marketing store, the merchant configures customer-payment options under My Products → Websites + Marketing → Manage → Store → Settings → Payment Methods. Shoppers then choose from the options that merchant has enabled. Depending on region and setup, GoDaddy documents options such as GoDaddy Payments, Stripe, PayPal, Square and offline payment. These settings do not change the card GoDaddy charges for your own subscription.

If GoDaddy declines your Coinepay card

First check whether GoDaddy recorded a successful order or an outstanding payment. Avoid repeatedly submitting a declined card. The wording below includes examples from GoDaddy Payments customer transactions; they are not a confirmed list of messages you will see when buying a GoDaddy subscription.

  • Insufficient funds or amount limits: GoDaddy Payments documents messages including “Insufficient funds” and “Amount limit exceeded.” Compare the full subscription charge, including the selected billing term, with the funds available to your card. Check any applicable card spending controls in Coinepay; for details you cannot see, ask Coinepay support.
  • Billing details: Recheck your name, billing address, card number, expiry date and CVV for mistakes. Use your genuine address rather than trying a different region. GoDaddy’s customer-transaction examples include “Expired card” and “Invalid credit card number,” though subscription checkout may use different wording.
  • Payment verification: If checkout requests 3-D Secure or another authentication step, complete the prompt through the channel presented. If it times out or never appears, check for an outstanding verification request in your Coinepay account and contact support rather than making repeated attempts.
  • Merchant or regional checks: GoDaddy Payments documents customer-transaction errors such as “Type of card not accepted,” “Transaction not allowed,” “Processor declined” and “International card restriction (Geographic location).” A subscription decline may be worded differently. Check the methods and purchase region shown at GoDaddy checkout. If a card-type or issuing-country rule applies, ask Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it; do not assume it does.

If the problem remains, record the exact error, purchase amount, time and GoDaddy product name, then contact Coinepay support. Do not send your full card number or CVV in a support message.

Manage the subscription after purchase

To change the card GoDaddy charges for the subscription, open Renewals and Billing → Manage Subscriptions, select the product, choose its payment method and select Save Payment Method. This is separate from the store’s customer-payment settings. To stop renewal, use Renewals and Billing → Manage Subscriptions → select product → Cancel Plan and confirm; GoDaddy says the product generally remains usable until the displayed subscription end date.

Check GoDaddy’s terms before relying on a refund. For customers who received its September 15, 2026 policy notice, the policy change effective October 15 sets a 7-day window for Websites + Marketing annual-plan purchases and a 48-hour window for shorter terms; renewals are generally not refundable unless an express exception or applicable law applies. Other customers or earlier transactions may be governed by different terms. The refund classification of an Airo AI Builder store plan is not established by that Websites + Marketing rule, so check the terms at checkout and ask GoDaddy before purchasing if a refund window matters to you.
