You can sign up for Synthesia for free, then choose a paid plan if you need one. This guide walks through preparing a Coinepay virtual card, completing Synthesia’s checkout, and checking common causes of a declined payment. Card acceptance depends on Synthesia’s checkout and payment checks; having a virtual card does not guarantee a successful purchase.
What you need before subscribing
- A Synthesia account: You can create one with an email address or a Google account. Use your real identity and accurate billing information.
- A Coinepay account and virtual card: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Coinepay provides the card number, expiry date, and CVV through its dashboard or mobile app.
- Enough available funds: Check your card’s available balance and any applicable card terms in Coinepay before checkout. Leave room for the full amount Synthesia displays, particularly if you select yearly billing.
- Your actual billing details: Have the billing address associated with your payment details ready. If you are unsure which details to enter, ask Coinepay support before submitting the payment.
Synthesia says its self-serve Starter and Pro plans accept major debit and credit cards and PayPal; its payment help also lists major prepaid cards. That does not establish whether a particular Coinepay card will meet Synthesia’s requirements. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the relevant card requirements before you buy. Enterprise payment arrangements differ: Synthesia lists credit cards and bank or wire transfers for that plan.
Choose the right Synthesia plan and billing period
Synthesia’s current plan names are Basic, Starter, Pro, and Enterprise, with higher-volume self-serve options called Pro 2×, Pro 4×, Pro 6×, and Pro 8×. If you see an older article referring to Creator, Synthesia renamed that tier Pro in October 2026. Basic is the free option; Enterprise requires a custom quote and a demo rather than the usual self-serve purchase.
| Plan | Public US-dollar price at the time of writing (October 2026) |
|---|---|
| Basic | $0 |
| Starter | $29 per month billed monthly, or $216 per year ($18 per month equivalent) |
| Pro | $89 per month billed monthly, or $768 per year ($64 per month equivalent) |
| Pro 2× / 4× / 6× / 8× | $176 / $347 / $514 / $676 per month, respectively, on monthly billing |
| Enterprise | Custom quote |
These figures describe the public pricing page, not a promise about your checkout total. Yearly-billing figures expressed as a monthly equivalent are not monthly installments. Check Synthesia’s official pricing page and the amount shown at checkout before paying. In the app, Billing also shows the pricing available to your account.
How to sign up and pay with your Coinepay card
- Prepare your card. Sign in to the Coinepay dashboard or Coinepay mobile app. Complete identity verification if you have not already, obtain your virtual card details, and check its available balance. You can get the app through iOS or Google Play.
- Open Synthesia’s official pricing page. Review Basic, Starter, Pro, the higher-volume Pro tiers, and the monthly-versus-yearly billing choice. Select Get started for a self-serve plan; Synthesia directs Enterprise inquiries to a demo instead.
- Create or access your Synthesia account. Follow the prompts to use your email address or Google account. If you start with Basic, you can later change plans from the app rather than opening another account.
- Confirm the plan in Billing or checkout. Within the Synthesia app, the documented route for changing plans is profile icon → Account info → Billing. Synthesia also describes the billing area as Settings → Billing. Review the selected tier, billing period, and fee presented for your purchase.
- Enter your card and billing information. Choose the available card-payment option, then enter the Coinepay card number, expiry date, and CVV as requested. Enter your real billing address and any applicable VAT information accurately. Complete any authentication request presented during payment; do not close it before it finishes.
- Check the result. Look for confirmation in Synthesia before assuming the subscription is active. You can return to Billing to review payment details and past invoices. Check your Coinepay account for the card transaction as well. If one side appears to show a charge but the subscription has not updated, seek support rather than repeatedly submitting the purchase.
Fees for a paid Synthesia purchase are shown at checkout or, where applicable, on an Order Form, and are generally payable in advance. Entering card details alone does not confirm a purchase: review the final amount and terms before you authorize it.
What to check if the card is declined
Synthesia’s payment guidance identifies several possible causes but does not specify a universal checkout error message. Start with what you can verify instead of assuming that every decline has the same cause.
- Insufficient balance: Compare the available card balance with the full amount shown at checkout. If you selected yearly billing, budget for the yearly charge rather than only the advertised monthly equivalent. Check the balance in Coinepay before retrying.
- Card details or billing-address mismatch: Re-enter the number, expiry date, and CVV carefully. Check that the card has not expired and that your billing address is accurate. Do not substitute an invented address to make a payment pass.
- Incomplete authentication or 3-D Secure: If checkout presents a bank authentication step, follow its instructions and wait for a result. If the request times out or cannot be completed, ask Coinepay support whether an authentication request reached the card and what you should do next. Do not assume a particular verification method will be available.
- Merchant card or region checks: Synthesia’s stated acceptance of major debit, credit, and prepaid cards does not mean every individual card or location will pass checkout. If a card-type or region-related restriction appears, do not change your identity, location, or billing details to get around it. Ask Coinepay support about your card’s eligibility and Synthesia support about the checkout restriction.
If the details are correct and payment still fails, contact Coinepay support with the time and amount of the attempt and the message you saw, if any. Do not send your CVV in a support message. For a Synthesia billing issue, including a double charge or difficulty changing a payment method, contact [email protected] or use Synthesia’s Help Center live chat.
Manage or cancel your subscription
To review a self-serve subscription, open profile icon → Account info → Billing. Synthesia’s billing documentation also uses Settings → Billing for the area where you can manage payment details, billing address, VAT information, and invoices. Check this area if you need to update an expiring card before the next charge.
For Starter or Pro, Synthesia’s cancellation route is profile icon → Account info → Billing → three-dot menu → Cancel your subscription → confirm. Cancel before the renewal date to prevent the next charge. Access continues through the paid billing period, but access to the account’s videos ends afterward; export videos you need before that period ends.
Fees already paid are generally non-refundable under Synthesia’s terms; simply forgetting to cancel or not using the subscription does not itself qualify for a refund. If you have a signed Enterprise Order Form, check its terms and contact your account team rather than relying on the self-serve cancellation steps. Standard Order Form terms specify automatic renewal and 30 days’ non-renewal notice unless the Order Form says otherwise.

FAQ
Can I pay for Synthesia Starter or Pro with a Coinepay virtual card?
Synthesia accepts major debit and credit cards and says it accepts major prepaid cards, but acceptance of a particular card is not guaranteed. Ask Coinepay support to confirm your card meets Synthesia’s requirements before buying.
Where do I change my Synthesia payment details?
Open your profile icon, then Account info → Billing. Synthesia also calls the billing area Settings → Billing.
Why was my Synthesia card payment declined?
Check your available balance, card number, expiry, CVV, billing address, and any authentication request. If those look correct, ask Coinepay support about the card attempt and Synthesia support about any checkout restriction.
Does Synthesia bill yearly plans one month at a time?
No. A per-month figure shown for yearly billing is a monthly equivalent, not a monthly-payment offer. Review the full charge at checkout before confirming.
How do I stop my Synthesia subscription from renewing?
For Starter or Pro, go to profile icon → Account info → Billing → three-dot menu → Cancel your subscription, then confirm before renewal. Enterprise customers with an Order Form should check its terms and contact their account team.
