McAfee+™ Premium is one of McAfee's individual security plans, sitting below the Advanced and Ultimate tiers. If you want to pay for it with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks through what you need, how the McAfee sign-up and checkout flow works, and what to check if your card is declined. Coinepay issues virtual cards with an instant card number, expiry date and CVV that you can use for online subscriptions like this one.
Before you start
A few things make checkout go more smoothly:
- Complete your Coinepay setup. Register and finish identity verification (KYC) first, then open the Coinepay app or dashboard to view your card number, expiry date and CVV. You must register and complete KYC before using card services.
- Fund the card. Make sure your Coinepay card has enough available balance to cover the first-term charge. McAfee charges the first-term price at purchase.
- Know your real billing address. Use the genuine billing details tied to your Coinepay account. McAfee asks that the billing address match the card issuer's record.
- Pick the right term. McAfee's U.S. page has shown both annual and two-year Premium options, so confirm the selected term before you pay.
Don't have a card yet? You can create a Coinepay account and manage everything from the iOS app or Android app.
Choose your McAfee+ Premium plan
On McAfee's official site, open the country-specific offer for your region, then look for McAfee+™ Premium - Individual. Note that McAfee® Total Protection Basic and Essential are separate products, not Premium tiers, and that the family option shown is McAfee+™ Advanced - Family, not a Premium plan.
At the time of writing (October 2026), McAfee's U.S. page showed Premium Individual at $49.99 for the first year, then $149.99/year, with a two-year option of one $99.99 payment followed by renewal at the annual rate. Indexed offers in other regions showed different figures — for example £49.99 (UK), C$49.99 (Canada) and A$94.95 (Australia) for the first term. These are introductory offers for new customers and are personalized by location, so always confirm the live price and renewal amount on McAfee's official pricing page before you pay.
One availability note: McAfee says identity-theft insurance, a Premium feature, is offered only to customers in the U.S., UK, Australia and Canada, and its U.S. offer says that coverage is unavailable in New York and Puerto Rico. Plan availability is not the same as feature availability, so review what's included for your region.
Step-by-step: pay with your Coinepay card
- Select the plan and term. On the McAfee offer page, choose McAfee+™ Premium - Individual and the term you want, then use the Buy button.
- Create or sign in to your McAfee account. You'll set up an account with your real name and email, which is where your subscription and renewal information lives.
- Enter your Coinepay card details. At the payment step, type the card number, expiry date and CVV from your Coinepay app. McAfee's terms contemplate credit cards, debit cards and other payment types, and the methods shown differ by country.
- Enter your billing address. Use the billing details associated with your Coinepay account so they match the issuer's record.
- Complete any 3-D Secure step. If an extra verification prompt appears, approve it through the Coinepay app so the charge can go through.
- Review and confirm. Check the plan name, term, first-term price and the stated renewal price, then confirm. The first-term price is charged at purchase.
After purchase, you can review everything under My Account → Subscriptions, including renewal status and payment history.
If your card is declined
A declined online payment is usually fixable. Work through these common causes:
Insufficient balance
Confirm your Coinepay card holds enough to cover the full first-term charge in the currency McAfee bills you. Top up in the Coinepay app and try again. Remember the amount charged is the first-term price, which may differ from the renewal price shown.
Billing address mismatch
McAfee specifically advises matching the billing address to your card issuer's record. If the address on the McAfee checkout doesn't match what Coinepay has on file, the payment can fail. Correct the address fields to match your Coinepay account details.
3-D Secure not completed
If a verification prompt times out or you miss it, the payment won't complete. Start the checkout again and approve the 3-D Secure request promptly in the Coinepay app.
"Page cannot be displayed" on the billing page
McAfee documents this error when an older browser or computer lacks the required TLS 1.2 or later. Update your browser or switch to a current one, then reload the billing page.
Merchant region and card checks
McAfee's offers, prices and available payment methods vary by country, and some merchants apply their own checks on the card used. If your payment is refused and balance, address and verification all look correct, the issue may be a merchant-side restriction. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card is suitable for this purchase before you try again, and reach out to McAfee customer service about the specific decline.
Treat any unsolicited "subscription payment failed" pop-up or email as unverified. Rather than click a link in such a message, sign in at your McAfee account directly and check your subscription status there.
Manage billing after you subscribe
To update the card on file, sign in at myaccount.mcafee.com and go to Settings → Edit Billing; to remove a card, use My Profile → Payment Methods → Update. Note that changing or deleting a card does not by itself cancel your subscription or reverse a charge.
To avoid an automatic renewal charge, turn off auto-renewal through My Account or McAfee customer service. McAfee advises doing this more than 30 days before your term ends, because it may charge within the final 30 days and emails you beforehand.
For refunds on eligible annual subscriptions bought directly from McAfee, you can request a full refund within 30 days of initial purchase, or within 60 days of the most recent automatic-renewal charge, through customer service. The general policy excludes monthly subscriptions from the 30-day guarantee and doesn't provide prorated refunds; some regions, including the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, British Columbia and Quebec, follow their own applicable policies. Purchases made through a third-party reseller follow that seller's channels instead.

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card to pay for McAfee+ Premium?
You can enter your Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV at McAfee's checkout. McAfee's terms contemplate credit cards, debit cards and other payment types, and available methods vary by country. If you're unsure your card is suitable for this purchase, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.
How much does McAfee+ Premium cost?
Prices are introductory offers that vary by region and change over time. At the time of writing (October 2026) McAfee's U.S. page showed Premium Individual at $49.99 for the first year, then $149.99/year, plus a two-year option. Always confirm the current price and renewal amount on McAfee's official pricing page before paying.
Why was my card declined at McAfee checkout?
Common causes are insufficient card balance, a billing address that doesn't match your issuer's record, an incomplete 3-D Secure step, or an outdated browser causing a "Page cannot be displayed" error. Fix each of these, and if the payment still fails, contact Coinepay support and McAfee customer service.
How do I change the card McAfee bills to Coinepay?
Sign in at myaccount.mcafee.com and go to Settings → Edit Billing to update your card, or My Profile → Payment Methods → Update to remove one. Changing or deleting a card does not cancel your subscription or reverse an existing charge.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
For eligible annual subscriptions bought directly from McAfee, you can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase, or within 60 days of the most recent auto-renewal charge, through McAfee customer service. Monthly plans and some regions follow different rules, and third-party purchases use that seller's process.
