Hostinger sells web, cloud and VPS hosting on prepaid terms, which means the full term is charged upfront at checkout. If you want to pay with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks through what to prepare, how to complete Hostinger's sign-up and checkout, and how to work through the card-declined errors Hostinger documents.

Coinepay issues virtual cards with an instant card number, expiry date and CVV, all managed from the Coinepay dashboard and mobile app. Hostinger's published list of accepted cards is brand-dependent, and whether a specific card works for your purchase can only be confirmed at your regional checkout, so treat the steps below as a careful, repeatable process rather than a guarantee.

Before you start

Get these ready so checkout goes smoothly:

  • A verified Coinepay account. Register and complete identity verification (KYC) first. You can create an account, then download the app for iOS or Android.
  • A funded virtual card. Because Hostinger charges the full term upfront, make sure the card balance covers the whole amount shown at checkout, not just the advertised monthly figure.
  • Your card details. The 16-digit number, expiry date and CVV, viewable in the Coinepay app.
  • Your real billing details. Use the name and billing address that match your Coinepay account. Accurate billing data reduces the risk of a decline.
  • Access to the device with the Coinepay app so you can approve any 3-D Secure verification prompt.

Note that Hostinger says an account's regional brand and currency cannot be changed after registration. Choose the correct regional Hostinger site before you sign up, because switching currency later requires a new account.

Choose a Hostinger plan

Plan names and prices vary by region, and Hostinger updated its line-up during 2026 (Unlimited replaced Business on most web-hosting sales pages in July 2026, and cloud plans gained unlimited websites and mailboxes from June 17, 2026). On the US/global pricing page the website plans shown are Premium, Unlimited and Cloud Startup, while the UK and several other regions also list Single. Separate product pages list cloud tiers (Cloud Startup, Cloud Professional, Cloud Enterprise), VPS tiers (KVM 1, KVM 2, KVM 4, KVM 8) and agency tiers (Agency Startup, Agency Professional, Agency Growth).

At the time of writing (October 2026) the US/global 48-month rate for Premium was advertised at $2.99/month ($143.52 upfront, renewing at $10.99/month), with Unlimited and Cloud Startup higher. Prices differ by region and exclude VAT/GST where noted, and advertised monthly rates are simply the term total divided by the number of months. Always confirm the current figure and the upfront total on Hostinger's official pricing page for your region before you buy.

Step-by-step: sign up and pay

  1. Pick your plan and term. On your regional Hostinger site, select a plan and choose a billing period of 1, 12, 24 or 48 months. Longer terms show lower per-month pricing but a larger upfront charge.
  2. Create your account. Sign up with your email, or with Google or Facebook. Use your real identity.
  3. Review the order. Checkout provides fields for company/tax details and a coupon code. Check the total payable now, since this is what your card must cover.
  4. Select card payment. In the payment-method panel, choose to pay by card and enter your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV. Where a regional brand offers PayPal or Google Pay, those open inside the payment panel rather than on a separate page.
  5. Enter billing details. Provide the billing address tied to your Coinepay account.
  6. Complete 3-D Secure if prompted. If a verification step appears, approve it promptly through the Coinepay app and enter any one-time code before the session times out.
  7. Confirm and save your invoice. After approval, your service activates. The payment appears under Billing, where you can download the invoice.

Existing customers can buy another plan from the dashboard via More services → Hosting.

Manage billing and renewals

Billing lives under the dashboard profile icon → Billing, split into Subscriptions, Payment History and Payment Methods. Under Billing → Payment Methods you can add or remove eligible saved methods and set the default used for automatic renewals.

To stop a future automatic charge without ending your paid term, switch off auto-renewal under Billing → Subscriptions. This does not reverse a charge that has already processed. If you rely on renewals, keep a funded Coinepay card set as the default and check its balance before the renewal date.

Troubleshooting card declines

Hostinger documents several payment errors. Here is how each maps to something you can check on the Coinepay side.

"Insufficient funds"

The card balance does not cover the upfront total. Top up your Coinepay card in the app so the available balance exceeds the full charge shown at checkout, then retry.

"The transaction was declined" or "The payment authorization has failed"

These are generic authorization failures. Re-check the card number, expiry and CVV, confirm the billing address matches your Coinepay account, and make sure the card has enough balance. If it keeps failing, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card is eligible for this purchase before trying again.

"Do Not Honor"

Hostinger describes this as a bank-side decline that can reflect an expired card, incorrect details, online-payment restrictions, or a purchase made in a country different from the card's issuing country. Verify your details are current and ask Coinepay support whether anything on the account is blocking the transaction.

"3D Secure Verification Failed"

Hostinger lists causes such as an expired authentication session, a blocked pop-up, a missing one-time code, an authentication timeout, an unenrolled card, or an international/online-payment restriction. Allow pop-ups, have the Coinepay app open, and complete the prompt quickly. If verification will not complete, contact Coinepay support.

"The payment window was closed"

The payment or verification window was dismissed before finishing. Restart checkout and leave the window open until you see confirmation.

"Email velocity – declined"

This appears after too many unsuccessful attempts. Stop retrying, resolve the underlying cause (balance, details or verification), and wait before trying again rather than repeatedly resubmitting.

Hostinger says it does not accept payments made from Russian Federation or Belarus territories. Coinepay also does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. Use your real identity and billing details; do not attempt to bypass regional or payment checks.

Refunds and cancellations

Eligible web, cloud, agency, KVM VPS and Game Panel purchases and renewals can be refunded within 30 days of the transaction; cryptocurrency purchases do not qualify. Eligible invoices show a Refund button in the dashboard's paid-invoices flow. Requesting a refund cancels the service and permanently deletes its data, so save backups first. Domain renewals are non-refundable, and most new generic-domain registrations have only a 96-hour window; a bundled free domain's price may be deducted from a hosting refund. A card refund returns to the card used, so keep that Coinepay card active while any request is pending.

FAQ

Does Hostinger accept Coinepay virtual cards?

Hostinger's accepted card list depends on your regional brand and is only confirmed at checkout. Enter your Coinepay card details with matching billing information. If it is declined, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card is eligible for the purchase before retrying.

Why does my Hostinger payment show the full amount instead of the monthly price?

Hostinger plans are paid upfront, so the charge covers the entire term you selected (1, 12, 24 or 48 months). The advertised monthly figure is just the term total divided by the months. Make sure your Coinepay card balance covers the full upfront amount.

What should I do if I get a 3D Secure Verification Failed error?

Allow pop-ups, keep the Coinepay app open to approve the prompt, and enter any one-time code before the session times out. Hostinger also lists blocked pop-ups and online-payment restrictions as causes. If it keeps failing, contact Coinepay support.

Can I get a refund if I paid with a Coinepay card?

Eligible web, cloud, agency, KVM VPS and Game Panel purchases and renewals can be requested within 30 days via the Refund button on the paid invoice. Refunds cancel the service and delete its data, so back up first. Domain renewals are non-refundable.

Can I change my Hostinger currency to match my Coinepay card?

No. Hostinger says an account's regional brand and currency cannot be changed after registration. To use a different supported currency you would need a new account on the appropriate regional Hostinger site, so choose the right region before signing up.
