Freshdesk is Freshworks' customer-support help desk, used by teams to manage tickets, email and self-service across channels. If you run the support desk for a business, you can pay for a paid plan online with a card, and a Coinepay virtual card is one convenient way to handle that recurring software bill. This guide walks through what you need, how the Freshdesk checkout works, and what to do if a payment is declined.

Before you start

A few things make the subscription go smoothly:

  • A verified Coinepay account. You must register and complete identity verification (KYC) before you can create and use a card. Sign up at the Coinepay registration page or through the iOS app or Android app.
  • A Coinepay virtual card with its card number, expiry date and CVV, which are issued instantly in the app or dashboard.
  • Enough balance on the card to cover the first charge plus any applicable tax. Freshdesk paid plans are priced per agent, so multiply by your agent count.
  • Your real billing details. Use the genuine name, address and country tied to your account. Freshdesk's checkout and the card network run verification checks, so matching details reduce the chance of a decline.
  • Freshdesk Account Admin access. Only an Account Admin can buy or change a plan.

Freshdesk's pricing FAQ lists Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express as accepted card networks. If you are unsure whether your Coinepay card meets a specific requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.

Know which Freshdesk plan you are buying

Freshdesk's paid tiers are Growth, Pro and Enterprise. Note that Freshdesk Omni is a separate product that uses the same tier names but different prices, so check you are selecting the product you actually want.

At the time of writing (October 2026), the US-dollar list prices on the Freshworks pricing page were Growth $19, Pro $55 and Enterprise $89 per agent per month, billed annually, with taxes generally added on top. Euro pricing shown the same day was Growth €17, Pro €52 and Enterprise €84 per agent per month, billed annually. Freshdesk Omni was priced separately (Growth $29, Pro $79, Enterprise $119 per agent per month, billed annually). Prices vary by region and change over time, and monthly, quarterly and half-yearly amounts differ from the annual figures above, so always confirm the current amount on the official Freshworks pricing page before you pay.

If you are a new sign-up, you also get a 14-day trial that does not require a card. After the trial, Freshdesk's Free Program (Freshdesk only, not Omni) allows up to two agents for six months. You only need to enter card details when you move to a paid plan.

Step by step: subscribe to Freshdesk with your Coinepay card

  1. Create your Coinepay virtual card. Open the Coinepay app or dashboard, generate a card and top up enough balance for the first charge plus tax. Keep the card number, expiry and CVV handy.
  2. Sign in to Freshdesk as Account Admin. Go to Admin → Plans and Billing.
  3. Start the purchase. Choose Switch plan, then select the product (Freshdesk or Freshdesk Omni) and the tier you want.
  4. Proceed to payment. Click Proceed to payment to open checkout.
  5. Set the subscription options. Enter your agent count, billing cycle and currency. Choose carefully: after purchase, currency changes require emailing [email protected].
  6. Enter billing information. Provide the billing name, address and country that match your Coinepay account details.
  7. Enter card details. Type the Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV.
  8. Complete 3-D Secure if prompted. Approve the confirmation in the Coinepay app if an extra verification step appears.
  9. Click Subscribe. Review the total, then confirm. You can later view invoices for online card payments under Admin → Plans and Billing.

Troubleshooting a declined card

Freshdesk documents a "Payment is Declined" email that results from a bank authorization failure, and advises contacting your card provider first, then emailing [email protected] if the issue persists. Here are the most common causes and how to clear them.

Insufficient balance

A per-agent plan multiplied across several agents, plus tax, can be more than you expect. Add up the full first charge, top up the Coinepay card so it covers that amount, and try again.

Billing address mismatch

If the billing name, address or country at checkout does not match what is on file for your card, the charge can be rejected. Re-enter the exact details tied to your Coinepay account and resubmit.

3-D Secure not completed

If the verification prompt is missed or times out, the payment fails. Make sure you can receive the confirmation through the Coinepay app, then restart checkout and approve it promptly.

Expired or unauthorized card

Freshdesk names an expired or unauthorized card as a cause of failed renewals. Check the expiry date, confirm the card is active in Coinepay, and generate a fresh card if needed, then update your details before the next charge.

Merchant or region checks

Freshworks' terms prohibit use where export controls or sanctions apply, naming Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Crimea and the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. Coinepay likewise does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. An exhaustive country-by-country checkout availability list is not published, so if a payment is blocked for a region reason, contact Freshdesk billing to confirm availability in your location.

If none of the above resolves it, ask your card provider whether the specific charge was authorized. For questions about your Coinepay card balance or status, reach Coinepay support or the Coinepay Telegram.

Managing renewals and cancellation

Freshdesk subscriptions renew automatically. Freshworks' terms provide for automatic renewal unless written notice of non-renewal or downgrade is given at least 30 days before the term expires, so do not assume an in-app request alone meets that notice requirement — check the terms and follow the stated process.

To cancel, an Account Admin goes to Admin → Account → Account Details → Account Status → Cancel account → Request cancellation. Freshdesk says there is no cancellation fee, but cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term, and payment obligations are generally non-cancelable and non-refundable except as the contract allows. Account data is permanently deleted 14 days after the subscription end date, so export anything you need to keep beforehand.

Because your Coinepay card is billed on renewal, keep enough balance on it ahead of each cycle, or switch to a new card in Admin → Plans and Billing before the charge date to avoid a failed renewal.

A tip for teams running multiple tools

If your business pays for several subscriptions — a help desk, AI tools, advertising and other software — Coinepay lets you issue a dedicated virtual card for each one and set custom spending limits per card. That keeps your Freshdesk charge isolated, makes reconciliation easier and limits exposure if a card number is ever compromised. You manage all of this from the 24/7 self-service dashboard or the Coinepay mobile app.

FAQ

Which card networks does Freshdesk accept online?

Freshdesk's pricing FAQ lists Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express as accepted card networks for online checkout. If you are unsure whether your Coinepay card meets a specific requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you subscribe.

Do I need a card to start a Freshdesk trial?

No. New sign-ups get a 14-day trial without a credit card, and after it Freshdesk's Free Program (Freshdesk only, not Omni) allows up to two agents for six months. You enter card details only when you move to a paid Growth, Pro or Enterprise plan.

Where do I enter my card details in Freshdesk?

An Account Admin goes to Admin → Plans and Billing → Switch plan, selects the product and tier, clicks Proceed to payment, then enters agent count, billing cycle, currency, billing information and card details before clicking Subscribe.

Why did my Freshdesk payment get declined?

Freshdesk's "Payment is Declined" email points to a bank authorization failure. Common causes include insufficient card balance, a billing address mismatch, an incomplete 3-D Secure step, or an expired card. Fix the detail and retry; if it persists, Freshdesk advises contacting your provider, then [email protected].

Can I use one Coinepay card for several subscriptions?

You can, but Coinepay also lets you issue a separate virtual card for each service with its own spending limit. Using a dedicated card for Freshdesk keeps billing clean and limits exposure if a card number is ever compromised.
