You can use your Coinepay virtual card details when subscribing through Bloomberg.com’s web checkout, provided the card is accepted for your purchase. This guide covers Bloomberg.com news subscriptions—not the Bloomberg Terminal—and walks through choosing a plan, entering payment details, and resolving common checkout problems.

What you need before you subscribe

  • A Coinepay account and virtual card: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) before using card services. Your virtual card provides a card number, expiry date, and CVV, which you can find in the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
  • Enough available funds: Check the amount Bloomberg will charge at checkout, including the billing period and any applicable tax. Leave room for the full displayed charge rather than only an introductory price you saw elsewhere.
  • Your real account and billing information: Use your own identity and accurate billing details. Have the billing address associated with your payment details ready to enter if Bloomberg requests it.
  • A plan available to you: Check Bloomberg’s subscriptions page for your location, the current offer, and its terms before submitting payment. Availability and offers can differ by location and entry page.

If you are deciding between the web and iOS app, check where you intend to pay. An iOS in-app purchase is charged to your Apple account, not entered as a card directly in Bloomberg.com’s web checkout. The steps below are for a direct web subscription.

Choose the right Bloomberg.com subscription

Bloomberg’s subscriptions page lists Annual Digital Access, Monthly Access, Annual + Businessweek Print, Corporate Access, Tech Newsletter Bundle, Student Plan, and Gift Subscription. Review what the particular offer includes rather than assuming every plan provides the same access. The print bundle includes monthly Businessweek editions; it is not a weekly print-delivery plan.

To illustrate why checking the final offer matters, at the time of writing (October 2026), one indexed U.S. Bloomberg web offer showed Annual Digital Access at $149 for the introductory first year and $399 per year afterward. Another Bloomberg entry page showed $180 for the introductory annual year. An indexed Monthly Access offer showed $1.99 for the first month for new subscribers, then $39.99 per month. These are offer examples, not a quote for your checkout. Check Bloomberg’s official subscriptions page and the terms displayed to you for the current price, eligibility, tax treatment, and renewal amount.

The Student Plan requires a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student over 18; Bloomberg says the price increases to the full Digital Access rate after student verification ends. Corporate Access requires a group quote. Gift Subscription has separate eligibility rules: U.S. gift subscriptions can be purchased and activated only by U.S. residents aged 18 or older, and they cannot be activated for an existing Bloomberg.com subscriber. Check these conditions before choosing a specialized plan.

How to pay on Bloomberg.com with your Coinepay card

  1. Open Bloomberg’s official subscriptions page. Select the plan and offer you want. If a page presents an introductory promotion, read who qualifies and what you will pay when it ends.
  2. Register or sign in to Bloomberg. Follow the account prompts associated with your selected subscription. Use an email address you can access so you can review account and billing notices.
  3. Review the checkout summary. Confirm the plan, initial charge, recurring charge, billing frequency, and any displayed tax information. Bloomberg bills direct web subscriptions in advance and renews them automatically monthly or annually. Introductory offers require payment details and convert to the disclosed recurring price unless cancelled beforehand.
  4. Get your virtual card details. Sign in to the Coinepay self-service dashboard or open the Coinepay mobile app on iOS or Android. Check the card’s available funds, then retrieve its number, expiry date, and CVV.
  5. Enter the payment details requested. If Bloomberg’s checkout offers a suitable card-payment field, enter the Coinepay card details and your accurate billing information. Follow any verification prompt that appears. Do not substitute someone else’s address or change your location to try to pass a payment check.
  6. Confirm only after reviewing the terms. Submit the purchase once the displayed amount and renewal terms are acceptable. Check your Bloomberg account and payment confirmation to see whether the subscription became active. If the page reports a problem, verify the transaction status before trying again so you do not create an unintended duplicate purchase.

Bloomberg’s listed payment options for group purchases of 2–49 users include credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal; that list should not be treated as a promise that each option appears at an individual web checkout. Use the options actually presented for your chosen subscription.

What to do if the card is declined

A declined payment can have several causes. Bloomberg’s help center describes a payment-declined message for an existing subscription, but a checkout screen may not identify the underlying reason. Work through the checks below instead of repeatedly submitting unchanged details.

  • Insufficient available funds: Compare your card’s available funds with the amount shown at Bloomberg checkout. A renewal may be higher than an introductory charge, so check the current billing notice or account information rather than relying on what you paid initially. If you need help understanding available funds or a card transaction, contact Coinepay support.
  • Billing address or card-detail mismatch: Re-enter the number, expiry, and CVV carefully. Check that the billing name and address are your real details and match the information relevant to your payment account. Correct genuine mistakes; do not use a fabricated address.
  • 3-D Secure or another verification prompt: If a security check appears, complete it through the legitimate on-screen flow. If it times out or fails, return to checkout and check whether a charge or subscription was created before retrying. Ask Coinepay support about a card-side authentication issue, or Bloomberg support about a checkout-side error.
  • Merchant region or eligibility checks: Bloomberg does not make its service available everywhere, and an offer or plan may have location-specific conditions. Confirm your actual location, the plan’s eligibility, and any billing information you entered. Bloomberg’s terms identify Cuba, North Korea, Iran, and non-Ukraine-government-controlled regions of Ukraine as places where it does not market or support its services. Do not try to bypass a regional restriction; ask Bloomberg whether the plan is available to you.
  • An existing subscription’s payment failed: Bloomberg directs web subscribers to Your Account → Billing → Edit to enter a new card number, expiry, and CVC, then select Save. Bloomberg says a successful update displays “Success”. Act on a payment-declined notice promptly: Bloomberg says to add a new card before its system automatically cancels the subscription.

If the reason remains unclear, note the date, amount, and exact message you saw. Share those details with the appropriate support team, but do not send your full card number or CVV in an ordinary support message. Coinepay support can help with your card; Bloomberg support can help with subscription eligibility, checkout, and account status.

Manage renewals or cancel a web subscription

Keep track of the end of any introductory period: the disclosed recurring price applies unless you cancel beforehand. For a direct Bloomberg.com web subscription, sign in and select “Contact Support to Cancel”. Contact Bloomberg support before an introductory period ends if you want to avoid the subsequent charge.

Under Bloomberg’s stated web-subscription policy, cancellation stops future-period charges and takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Access continues until then, but the unused portion is not refunded, including an unused portion of an annual term. Bloomberg may issue a refund or credit at its discretion. If you bought through a third party instead, that third party’s terms govern the purchase; an iOS subscriber should use Apple Account Settings to manage the in-app subscription and auto-renewal. Updating or stopping a card by itself is not the same as cancelling your Bloomberg subscription.

FAQ

Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for Bloomberg.com?

You can enter its card details if a suitable card-payment option appears at checkout. Acceptance depends on Bloomberg’s checks and your transaction; review the result before assuming the subscription is active.

Will Bloomberg charge me again after an introductory offer?

Yes. Bloomberg says introductory web offers require payment details and convert to the disclosed recurring price unless you cancel beforehand. Check the renewal terms shown at checkout.

Where do I update the card on an existing Bloomberg.com subscription?

Sign in and go to Your Account → Billing → Edit. Enter the new card number, expiry, and CVC, then select Save; Bloomberg says a successful update shows “Success.”

Why was my Bloomberg payment declined?

Check available funds, card details, your real billing address, any authentication prompt, and your eligibility for the plan and location. Contact Coinepay support for card-side questions or Bloomberg support for checkout and subscription questions.

Does cancelling a Bloomberg.com annual subscription refund unused months?

Under Bloomberg’s stated direct web-subscription policy, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and does not provide a prorated refund, although Bloomberg may issue a refund or credit at its discretion.
